Then slide the tracing paper under the template circle. Use a pen to trace the charachter. To blend the colors better, use a wet brush. 3 INSTRUCTIONS 1. Trace the image onto plate using a pen with the template mage and tracing paper. Cut out template circle, position it on the plate, and tape it to the bisque along the top. Place the tracing paper under the template circle ( active side to the bisque ) and trace the outlines using a pen. Lift the papers to check your progress. Remove when done tracing. 2. Carefully paint the eyes and mouth with one coat of black # 31. Use a detail brush. 3. Paint the hair with # 30 using a small round brush. Apply 2 to 3 coats. Leave some of the horizontal hair lines unpainted. 4. Paint the face and neck with Yellow # 21. Do not paint inside the three shapes that are the highlight areas outlined on the neck, cheek, and forehead. Use a small round brush. 5. Use a small round brush to paint the face with # 46. This time paint the entire face including the highlight shapes left unpainted in the previous step. 6. Using # 25, add a soft shadow at the bottom of the chin and across the forehead, directly under the hair.. 7. Add second coat of Black in the eyes and mouth. 8. Paint the tongue with red # 98, two coats. 9. Add a vertical brush stroke over the highlighted area on the right side of the forehead.

Carefully paint the eyes and hair with one coat of black # Paint the colored parts of the hair with purple # 10 and blue # 64 using a small round brush. Apply 2 to 3 coats. 4. Paint the freckles on the face using a detail brush and # 30. Then paint the frames of the glasses and the scarf using browns # 13 and # Paint the face with yellow # 21. Use a small round brush. Paint over the freckles making sure you can still see where they are. Make sure to avoid painting over the lips. 6. Using # 13, add a soft shadow at the bottom of the chin, on the sides of the face, and across the forehead, directly under the glasses. At this time, also touch up the freckles with # Add second coat of black in the eyes, brow and the hair. 8. Paint the lips with pink # 7. Apply 2-3 coats with a etail brush. 9. GENERAL MAYHEM MATERIALS Bisque: Smooth Salad Plate Project Template Scissors Tracing Paper Masking Tape Pen Small Round Brush Medium Flat Brush TIPS To trace, cut the circle out from the image template and tape it to the plate along the top. Then slide the tracing paper under the template circle. Use a pen to trace the charachter. When painting, simply let your brush strokes follow the sapes. Paint the background with # 43 using a medium flat brush. Apply 2 to 3 coats. 3. Paint the helmet face with # 2. Leave the highlight space on the left unpainted on the first coat. Paint over the entire helmet face after that. You should see the difference in coverage. 4. Use a small round brush with # 66 to paint the three pink parts of the helmet, the center top and the ear covers on each side. Refer to the sample photo. Apply two coats to each part. 5. Use the same brush with # 7 pink and add some pink brush strokes along the bottom of the helmet as shown. After that apply a layer of this pink to the three helmet parts painted in the previous step. 6. Wash the small round brush and use light blue # 64 to add shading to the helmet and the suit as shown. Blend this color into bisque following the shapes of the helmet and the suit. 7. Use the same technique to blend this lighter blue into the upper part of the dark helmet face painted previously with # 2. Blend the light blue into the dark blue by softening the edge of the lighter blue with water on the brush. 8. Use white # 67 to paint the main highlight shape on the helmet. 9. Add white to the inpainted white parts of the helmet as needed.

Place the tracing paper under the template paper ( active side to the bisque ) and trace the outlines using a pen. Lift the papers to check your progress. Remove when done tracing. 2. Carefully paint the eyes, the eye brows, and mouth with one coat of black # 31. Use a detail brush. Avoid white dots inside the eyes and the tongue inside the mouth. 3. Paint the cheeks with # 7 pink. 4. Paint he outline around the diamond shape with # 25 using a small round brush. 5. Use a small round brush to paint the face and the tongue inside the mouth with # 46. Avoid painting over the eyes and the cheeks by being careful. 6. Use a medium flat brush to paint the rest of the star plate with yellow # 46. Apply 2 to 3 coats. 7. Add second coat of Black to the eyes and mouth. 8. Add second coat of pink to the cheeks.

THE LEGO MOVIE 2 HEART PLATE MATERIALS Bisque: Heart Plate Project Template Scissors Pen Large Flat Brush Small Round Brush Detail Brush Paint: 7,42, 66, 3, 31, 67 TIPS To trace, cut the heart shape out from the image template, place it on the plate as shown and use a pen to trace the image. Do this when the background is almost completely dry. Use a small round brush and a detail brush to carefully paint the details on top of the pink background. 15 INSTRUCTIONS 1. Paint the background using a large flat brush and pink # 7. Apply two coats to the plate. 2. Carefully cut out the heart shape from the template sheet. 3. Place the paper over the heart plate to fit as shown. Hold the paper in place while tracing the details with a pen. The pressure applied with the pen over paper will be enough to make visible indentations in the underglaze. Once finished, remove the paper. 4. Use a detail brush and black # 31 to carefully fill in the black parts of the design. Apply two coats of black to the eyebrows, the eyes, and the mouth. Avoid the highlight circles in the eyes and the tongue in the mouth. 5. Use a small round brush to paint the white circles in the eyes to cover pink background color. Two coats should be enough. 6. Paint the tongue with pink # Paint the cheecks with two coats of # Use a small round brush and # 42 brown to outline the edges of the diamond shape.
