2 2015 More boost into Tikkurila Industrial Paint Service Jarkko Mattila TIKKURILA GROUP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, PROFESSIONALS AND INDUSTRY Tikkurila industrial paint distribution network, developed years ago, is a very important part of our industrial paint business today. It is also one of the success factors in serving our industrial customers in an extensive geographical area. In connection with the Tikkurila paint brand renewal in late 2014, it was decided to change the name of the Temaspeed industrial distribution concept to Tikkurila Industrial Paint Service. This was done because we wanted to fully utilize the awareness and strength of the Tikkurila brand. Temaspeed will continue as the name for Tikkurila industrial tinting systems. Along with the renaming of the concept, we are putting more effort to meeting the expectations of our customers even better, now and in the future. This first issue of Impulse is a good example of it. We will bring you news about new Tikkurila products, services and tools as well as other industry-related topics. 4 NEW PRODUCTS METAL Temasolid EZ 80 Temasolid EZ 80 is a new-generation polyurea paint. It dries fast, even at room temperature. The curing process can be accelerated by raising the relative humidity of the air. 7 NEW PRODUCTS WOOD AKVILAC FD 70 AND AKVILAC FD-J 35 two new gloss levels in the Akvilac range Akvilac FD and FD-J lacquers for industrial use represent a new water-borne technology combining highest environmental standards with high performance. Due to their transparency, Akvilac FD and FD-J -lacquers are great products for use also on top of dark stain colors. The Akvilac FD-J range has been developed especially for the joinery industry, and it offers a more economical solution for fast production lines. The Akvilac FD 25 and 70 lacquers have a higher solids content and therefore form a thicker film compared to that made with Akvilac FD-J lacquers. The idea is to replace the old Temaspeed identity by next year. The main part of the visual elements were made in blue colors just to match the blue color (Pantone 2925) of the Tikkurila industrial coating cans. The interior visual elements can be divided into the main segments: wood, metal or floor, and there is also a general look that applies to all of them.
