Line up the rows with the spare loops and sew the waistcoat down the side seams and across the shoulder seams. For the fringe you need to cut several strips of wool about 3 in length. Each spare loop indicates a place where the fringe needs to be added in a similar way to putting the dolls hair in place. Push the hook through a spare loop. Fold a strand of yarn in half and pull through the loop, pull both ends through the loop just made and pull tight. Once the whole fringe is made you can trim straight or into a pointed shape. Sew a star button to the front of the waistcoat Cowboy boots (make 2) 3mm hook Using the dark brown yarn Ch 6 1) 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, 3sc, 6sc in last. Knit or crochet a teddy for charity I have friends who work for the Salvation Army s Anti-trafficking unit in the UK. They travel all over the country at all times of the day or night picking up people who ve been rescued from sex traffickers and slavery. Then transport them to safety. Deborah (one of my friends) was telling me how they had rescued a family with young children. They didn t speak much English and had been terrified. They had nothing of value with them and the children didn t really understand that they were safe. Deborah said she really wanted a bear to give to each child to hold during the long journey and to help them settle.
