6 Overview: tailor-made fibers (mechanical) Each requested dtex and cutlength Each requested color and luster Tailor-made finishes for different applications Tailor-made textile physical parameters like tenacity, elongation, hot-air-shrinkage, crimp we produce whatever the customer wants to have (within our possibilities) These modifications can be made in the final ( fiber) line due to different adjustments in the drawing frame, fixing, temperature of drawing, fixing and oven, finishing, crimp box, cutting 6

7 Overview: tailor made fibers (chemical) Due to our integrated production process with an own polycondensation we have the possibility to add colorants, additives and chemicals directly into the polyester-melt which allows us to produce multifunctional fibers -Polyester FR -Polyester UV-stabilized -Polyester spundyed -Polyester antibacterial -> combinations of these ( multifunctional ), like Polyester FR with UV Polyester FR antibacterial Polyester FR in different colors (spundyed) Polyester UV in different colors (spundyed) -> also different shapes are possible (round, hollow, trilobal) 7

12 Applications for GRISUTEN FR The use of GRISUTEN FR is recomended for all textiles where it is important to have a protection against the spreading of fire. 16 Polyester GRISUTEN antibacterial Additive on silver-basis which is integrated in the polymer Permanent effect Good white-degree Antibacterial effect is due to silver-ions on the surface of the fiber Extract of the test report regarding the antibacterial effect: significant antibacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 and a good antibacterial effect against Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 4352 Extract of the test report regarding skin irritation: no biological activity, means the sample does not release celltoxical substances which could cause irritations by contact with skin In Devolopment: antibacterial GRISUTEN free of heavy metal 16

18 Polyester GRISUTEN spundyed Colors are dosed directly into the polyester-melt Nearly all colors can be reproduced Min. quantity 5 tons/ color Advantages - normally cheaper than stock, piece or yarn-dyed - Better color-fastness compared to other dyeing processes - Environmentally-friendly dyeing process (not water) - Good reproducability from lot to lot ( tolerance DL+/-1, Da and Db +/- 0,5 according to CIE-lab) 18
