All General Information, Local and State Rules apply for the entire Department. Any violation of the rules may result in disqualification. 2. Entry fees: $2.00 per entry, per class. 3. Fair management and judges reserve the right to move any item to compete fairly with like entries. 4. Entries in this department must be home prepared and/or finished by the exhibitor within one year, or in a reasonable amount of time prior to the opening of the Fair. If the item belongs to you but was made by someone else, the item must be entered under the maker s name. 5. Entries should be complete, clean, odor and pet hair free. 6. Entry description should include pattern, color palette and (for quilts) size in inches. 7. Items which have been shown at any other fair except San Bernardino County Fairs, are eligible for entry in competition. 8. Sets will be limited to 6 pieces maximum, unless noted; however, you may enter more items in the same class. 9. If you are entering a GROUP project, please state the name of group on the entry and the name of the person who will be entering for the group. 10. No commercial products will be received except under the categories of: Decorated Ready-Made Clothing, Quilt Related Clothing, Decorated Beadwork and Hand Dyed Commercially Spun Yarn. 11. All quilts, except miniatures, MUST have a 4 sleeve tacked/ basted to the entry for display purposes. 12. Identification labels must be temporarily covered (basted) with cloth. 13. Kits, where specified, consist of pre-cut or pre-printed material with all the supplies to complete the project. 14. Clothing: please include a clothes hanger for each article of clothing entered. 15. Experience Definitions: Beginning is 1 to 4 years, Intermediate is 5 to 8 years, Advanced is 9 years or more. 16. If only has Beginning/Advanced: Beginning is 1-5 years. Advanced is 6 years or more. 17. Large Quilts Maximum hanging length 100. Any quilt over 100 should have sleeve place 90 from bottom of quilt. 18. Must include name of quilter if different than top maker. 19. Premiums offered per class in this Department: 1st place $5.00, 2nd place $3.00 and 3rd place $1.00 Fair Theme Award Recognition For any current Fair Theme related item in this department, your entry form must be marked Theme. 2 Knots of Love Brighten the Lives of Cancer Patients Founder, Christine Fabiani Shively Knots of Love s mission is to warm the hearts and heads of those experiencing traumatic hair loss, no matter the cause. We are a dedicated group throughout the United States who knit and crochet caps with love. This act of kindness fills a need which is often overlooked. Our creations are distributed free of charge one cap at a time.
