2 Everyday Socks WELCOME Dear Customer Welcome to the first Arbon Socks catalogue since we took over John Arbon s sock business back in February. John continues to spin lovely yarns for me and helps with new sock developments whilst Juliet provides her experience in planning sock production. Thank you to both! Our focus is still on producing luxury, British-made socks from alpaca and wool as we think natural fibres are better for feet and kinder on the environment. This year s catalogue is organised by type of sock, starting with Everyday socks, followed by Bed socks, Walking socks and Outdoors socks. In this catalogue, you will see the familiar alpaca and wool socks produced by John & Juliet, with a few new colours introduced. We have lots of new socks in the pipeline, but unfortunately, not in time before going to print. Please check the website for new products or sign up to our newsletter for occasional updates. Outdoor Socks We use natural fibres in our socks as we believe they are more comfortable and warmer on your feet than man-made fibres. Apart from the bed socks, we also add a proportion of nylon.

We source the wool, alpaca and yarn in the UK and Falkland Islands where possible, using breeds such as Blue Faced Leicester and its different crosses, as well as British alpaca.

6 Outdoor Socks We use natural fibres in our socks as we believe they are more comfortable and warmer on your feet than man-made fibres. Apart from the bed socks, we also add a proportion of nylon. This improves fit and provides additional durability. Our socks are all knitted in the UK by two family businesses in the Midlands. We source the wool, alpaca and yarn in the UK and Falkland Islands where possible, using breeds such as Blue Faced Leicester and its different crosses, as well as British alpaca. For some of our socks we buy the fleeces directly from farmers and take it all the way through to spinning, dyeing and knitting. Sock Care - The safest way to wash our socks is by hand without wringing or rubbing, drying flat away from direct heat. Washing machines vary considerably, so although I successfully wash my socks on a Wool cycle with a small amount of detergent, I cannot guarantee good results in your machine. Do not tumble-dry the socks unless you want to then donate them to small children. ALPACA country Knee length, patterned turn-over top socks.
