13 FIBER TYPES MERINO LONG LIVE EXTRAFINE MERINO WOOL! When it comes to Italian merino, Texim is a world player. We import more than 300 tons of fine Italian merino every year, treating this fibre the way it deserves from knitting to finishing. We source all counts of merino wool, including dependable good old 30/2, valued 36/2, fine 48/2, and the avantgarde 60/2. Merino is a habitual spirit. It is an identity more than just a sweater. And we make the finest "Made in Turkey" sweaters with the finest "Made in Italy" merino wool. LAMBSWOOL THE ONLY COMPETITOR TO MERINO Lambswool is definetely another culture of wearing quality knitwear. We source the finest Italian and Turkish lambswool qualities, suitable for different gauges. The main counts used are 15/1, 15/2, 26/2 and 28/2. As preference we can also offer lambswool-polyamide blends for a more rigid and yet softer product. Our nominated suppliers provide best cotton qualities for us, including a range of compact cotton, giza cotton and pima cotton. Counts differ between Ne 20/2 to 50/2. Three ply versions are also available. Furthermore, even finer cotton qualities are imported from Italy. If you prefer to have special pima or giza cotton tags on your products, we do source the necessary certificates. Our fine gauge machinery park allows us to offer 14 and 16 gauge cotton sweaters, so that the product fits for even the hottest summer periods. Who says sweaters can be worn only in winter? OUR OFFERINGS ARE LIMITED ONLY TO YOUR IMAGINATION Beside the core yarn types listed above, we do source all kinds of fibers from three main markets- Italy, Turkey and China. These include pure silk, silk cashmere, cotton cashmere, cotton elastane, viscose elastane, wool elastane, lambswool blends, wool acrylic, cotton acrylic, cotton wool and many others. 19 DEVELOPMENT OUR KNIT-LAB IS DEDICATED TO YOUR DESIGNERS Today's fashion industry depends on speed. With this basic principle in mind, we built up a seperate collection and development plant which we call Knit-Lab to fulfill the needs of your designers in the fastest and most effective way possible. In our Knit-Lab, we make all development samples, prototypes, knit-downs, pre-production samples and all other necessary trials for a comprehensive collection, and later on for a smooth production. The know-how we accumulated in our Knit-Lab is valueless. We offer proactive solutions to problems clients may face with new yarns or techniques. Countless number of past experience and technical data in the Knit-Lab help the designers built up a risk-free collection. And we engineer the product before passing it to production so that it is at the optimum level in terms of cost and outcome, making the buying teams happy as well. KNITTING HEART OF OUR PRODUCTION All our knitting machines are up-to-date with the latest pattern systems available and are technically capable enough to knit all kinds techniques like intersia, jacquard, ottoman, milano-stitch, cable structure and links-knitting. Machinery portfolio includes gauges ranging from 3 to 16, as well as special intersia machines. Also in the inventory machines with long needle beds are present which allows knitting even the biggest sizes. WASHING & TREATMENT Manufacturing Strength A GOOD OUTCOME IN WASHING DEPENDS ON 4 VARIABLES: EQUIPMENT, WATER, CHEMICALS AND THE RECIPE. Correct equipment covers the first part of knitwear treatment. Our laundry facility is fitted with state-of-the-art fully electronic washing and drying equipment. Our washing machines decide themselves automatically the correct amount of water and chemicals to be used according to the exact weight of the garments, therefore deviance is very limited. Our tumble dryers have special systems that dry garments while maintaining their volumes. And furthermore, we also have dry cleaning equipment that helps us obtain handfeels not possible with washing machines. Second element of correct knitwear treatment is the water itself. This means water used in knitwear washing should be filtered and always kept in a stable ph and softness level for the chemicals to perform in the desired way. This is exactly how we treat the water we use in our washing process. Then comes the chemicals used. In Texim, we only use chemicals from world-known nominated suppliers, always fresh and sustainable. Maintaining consistency of chemicals assures a durable performance on washing process. Final element of the process is the recipes used. Considering tremendous types of different yarns used in knitwear production, recipes are the key elements in achieving the desired handfeel on the garment. For this purpose, we use recipes that come from our joint venture partner treatment laboratory in Italy. That means, we not only use Italian yarns but also Italian know-how, with Turkey's competitive costs.

21 CONFECTION CONFECTION OF FINE GAUGE KNITWEAR IS AN EXPERTISE ITSELF. Those who are in this business know very well that confection of fine gauge knitwear is a different speciality. Our confection facility in Texim is capable enough to link all kinds of knitted garments, with any technique requested. We have linking machinery up to 21 gg, allowing us to sew finest knitted garments very cleanly. Besides linking, we possess special confection machinery for different purposes including pockets, zips, special tags, buttons and other trimmings. STEAMING & FINISHING A SWEATER IS NOT FINISHED WITHOUT A PERFECT PRESSING. We use high technology laser steaming and pressing equipment for a perfect finishing on the sweater. Our presses are fitted with automatic moulds to shape the garments in the desired way. Alternatively our operators have extensive know-how on using manual moulds for more fashion products. A good pressing process ensures a long-term fit on the knitwear garment and makes the surface much more appealing to the eye. This is where technology meets craftmanship. QUALITY INSPECTION Manufacturing Strength OUR METHODOLOGY IS TO PRODUCE QUALITY. Classical systems and flows in textiles industry work with quality inspection systems at the end of the manufacturing chain. Despite the fact that this solid way is still in use today, it has been modified greatly by the advanced monitoring & engineering systems developed in the last decade. Today, quality is something to be produced. That means, at every stage of the production, from raw material supply to final shipment, quality is to be an integrated part of the process. Each production unit in Texim is organized and managed in this principle. Our SAP-based Quality Assurance System constantly monitors that the production is in the standards predefined and desired. Consistency of this system is ensured by an independent team who report directly to management.
