2 1. Introduction Augmented Reality Blending real and virtual elements Museum Exhibitions Exhibited artifacts is very restricted V & AR can offer a great help Interact with digital contents Intuitive interface, easily, naturally ARCO System 3 2. Related Work The SCULPTEUR project is developing a solution for museums to create and manipulate digital representations of museum objects The 3D Murale project is aimed at developing a system capable of recording archaeology excavation phases using Virtual Reality techniques The ARCHEOGUIDE project develop a wearable AR tour guide at cultural heritage The LIFEPLUS project additionally encompass real-time 3D simulations of ancient fauna and flora 4

3 3. ARCO System Overview ARCO Augmented Representation of Cultural Objects help museums to create, manipulate, manage and present digitized cultural objects 5 3. ARCO System Overview (Cont ) Content Production Includes all tools and techniques used to create digital representations of museum artifacts 6

4 3. ARCO System Overview (Cont ) Content Management Digital i representations are stored in database media objects : images, 3D models, descriptions, movies, sounds associated metadata ARCO Content Management Application (ACMA) 7 3.
