2 POLPUR, LTD. FOUNDED IN 1991, IS WHOLLY A CZECH COMPANY. We develop and produce polishing, lapping and grinding tools, especially for the glass, jewellery and optical industries. We also offer manufacturing of precission glass elements. The POLPUR tools have been used successfully by domestic glassmakers for years. However about 75% of our production is exported to the whole world, thanks to our sales representatives or directly to final customer. Comparing to traditional tools, the advantages of POLPUR tools are based on their higher durability and productivity, higher reproducibility and quality of processed surface. Higher work safety and lower physical effort, in the connection with a cleaner working conditions are advantages appreciated by operators. POLPUR tools are used with great success on semi- and fully automatic machines in the leading world glassworks. In the same time, they are popular with glass artists. 4 WHEELS WHEELS WITH INCORPORATED ABRASIVES LAPI TOOLS The tools are made of polyurethane foam. The tools are cooled with water only (no added abrasive necessary). The tools minimize cracking layer in workpiece thereby polishing is easier. The tools are easily profiled. ORANGE suitable after very rough or rough diamond to achieve refining of engraved surface. Recommended hardness of the tool: T GREEN similar use as the Blue, produces slightly rougher texture of engraved surface. Recommended hardness of the tool: TT BLUE suitable after very rough and rough diamond to achieve finer relief, to highlight texture. 5 WHEELS WHEELS WITH INCORPORATED POLISHING POWDER A 24 M TOOLS The tools are made of polyurethane foam. The tools contain polishing powder (cerium oxide) in high concentration. The tools are cooled with water only (no added abrasive necessary). Suitable for polishing of cuts and engravings parts to achieve high shine after stone or fine copperwheel. TWO POSSIBILITIES OF TOOL GRIPPING Without shank to grip the tool in the centre bore. Glued to a shank of diameter Ø 3 or 6 mm. The tools are used for polishing and lapping of glass and natural stones. Replacement of traditional tools such as cork, poplar wood, felt, etc., have been used. RECOMMENDED HARDNESSES OF THE TOOL T hard: ShD. Suitable for removing of tiny scratches, for fine polishing of copper wheel engravings. XTT extra hard: ShD. Similar use as A 24 M but more flexible.
