RESIN S PBS I N C E QUALITY Abrasive Technology manufactures a complete line of Resin Bond wheels for a wide spectrum of grinding applications. Our Resin Bond wheels are made using the highest quality superabrasive and raw materials to ensure superior performance. The wheels presented in this catalogue are designed to satisfy the basic needs of tool room grinding applications, where a cost effective wheel is required for sharpening carbide tipped tools. In addition, we have experienced Technical Specialists and the equipment necessary to design and manufacture wheels to suit your specific needs. TOOLING 1971 Some basic information regarding our products: ELECTROPLATED In addition to the in-stock tools on pages 3 & 4, Abrasive Technology manufactures a complete line of custom engineered Electroplated tools. Our electroplating processes and equipment can produce extremely complex forms with close tolerances. We also have the necessary equipment to measure and document these precision capabilities. Recommended usage for Electroplated products: A wide range of bespoke PCD and PCBN tooling is also produced by Abrasive Technology, together with the complete spectrum of natural diamond cutting and dressing tools. The range includes PCD combination tooling for machining nonferrous materials and PCD wear parts for use in the Bearing industry. You will find in this catalogue a range of single point Diamond Dressers and PCD tipped ISO inserts. Our Technical Specialists are available to provide solutions to your specific requirements. Low wheel speed is one of the major causes of poor performance in superabrasive grinding. Low speeds will cause loading and excessive heat build-up. We recommend that our products operate in the range of 25 to 60 M/S. 46 M/S is optimum. To prolong wheel life, use adequate coolant whenever possible. 2
