DETAILS OF THE VET STANDARD 1. Vocational education level 3 rd 2. State code S Qualification awarded fine manufacturer. 4. Basic education basic, secondary.. II. CONTENT OF THE VET STANDARD 5. Brief description of occupational activity: 5.1. The VET Standard for a Fine manufacturer (hereinafter referred to as the Standard ) has been developed taking into account changes on the labour market, findings of the qualification study carried out by the Standards Development Working Group and based on the experience of other countries. The present Standard serves as a basis for the development of a training programme of vocational education level A person having completed the established Fine manufacturer s vocational education and training programme acquires competencies for working in the following main activity areas: composing of uncomplicated ; metal processing; combining metals with other materials used in fine manufacturing A fine manufacturer is able to prepare the work place, tools and equipment, adheres to the technological requirements, is able to work safely. A fine manufacturer adheres to sanitary, personal hygiene, work and safety, fire safety requirements, safely uses tools and equipment. A fine manufacturer is able to draft uncomplicated product plan by applying composition, drawing and painting skills, is able to choose different metals, other materials for work. A fine manufacturer is able to carry out manual, mechanic, thermal processing of different metals and other materials, carry out their mechanic, chemical and galvanic finishing, combine metals with other A fine manufacturer is able to apply modern manufacturing and technological innovations and new materials, is aware of modern design and traditional Lithuanian decoration application features. A fine manufacturer is able to use technology and art sources, information tools A fine manufacturer is characterised by the following personal qualities: concentration, creativity, diligence, accuracy, cleanliness. 6. The objective of a fine manufacturer manufacture fine. 7. Fine manufacturer s activity areas and competencies are listed in Appendix 1 of the Standard. 8. The scope of a fine manufacturer s competencies, training objectives and competency assessment are provided in Appendix 2 of the Standard. 9. Successful work as a fine manufacturer requires the following general capabilities: 9.1. work in a team; 9.2. self confidence;
4 9.3. perceptivity; 9.4. stamina. 10. Final qualification assessment: Qualification of a fine manufacturer is awarded to a pupil who has completed the whole training programme, acquired competencies defined in the Standard and has been given a positive final qualification evaluation In accordance with the competency assessment criteria listed in the Standard, the following is tested and evaluated: during the training process - all competencies defined in the Standard; during the final qualification assessment - selected competencies. Organisation and performance of the final qualification assessment and issuance of documents is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania
