1 Matthew P. Cullen Principal Rock Ventures LLC Matthew P. Cullen is a principal of Rock Ventures LLC, the Detroit-based organization that serves and connects entrepreneur and Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman and majority owner of the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers Dan Gilbert s Family of more than 100 companies, as well as his investments, real estate purchases, and community activities. Rock Ventures activities range from idea incubation for new companies and community projects to supporting the growth, innovation and creativity of the 25,000+ team members working in the Family of Companies. Cullen helps lead Rock Ventures efforts to spark development and revitalization in the City of Detroit, which includes Quicken Loans national headquarters move to the city in Since then, the Family of Companies has invested more than $2.2 billion in real estate in Detroit s Central Business District, which has been a catalyst for attracting new businesses, workers and residents to the city. In addition, Cullen is chief executive officer of JACK Entertainment LLC, formerly Rock Gaming LLC, a Detroit-based urban gaming company focused on the development and operation of gaming facilities that are designed to maximize connectivity and economic impact in the local areas where they reside. JACK Entertainment and its affiliates ( JACK ) portfolio of properties includes more than 13,000 gaming positions, 400,000-square-feet of gaming space, 400 hotel rooms, and 35 bars and restaurants. JACK Entertainment is comprised of approximately 7,000 team members across four states and generates more than $1.4 billion in revenues. JACK Entertainment developed and opened three of Ohio s gaming properties between May 2012 and April 2013, one in downtown Cleveland, one in downtown Cincinnati and a third, JACK Thistledown Racino, just outside of Cleveland. In 2013, JACK Entertainment acquired and began operating downtown Detroit s Greektown Casino-Hotel. JACK also owns and operates northern Kentucky s historic thoroughbred racetrack Turfway Park. JACK Entertainment is a partner in both downtown Baltimore s Horseshoe Casino and Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc., the largest online, mobile and social gaming company focused on casino entertainment. Cullen is a 29-year veteran of General Motors (GM), where he was general manager of economic development and enterprise services. In addition to coordinating economic development initiatives in the communities in which GM operates, he created a shared services organization and had responsibility for the corporation s vast 450-million-square- foot global real estate portfolio. Cullen was chief architect of GM s $500 million acquisition and development of the Renaissance Center as the automaker s global headquarters. Since 2003 he has helped oversee the billion-dollar

2 redevelopment of the city s international riverfront as the founding chairman of the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, whose vision is to create more than five miles of contiguous public access and linked parks along the river. He also serves as volunteer president and CEO of the M-1 RAIL Streetcar initiative. The 6.6-mile streetcar route will connect the city s largest cultural destinations, educational and entertainment facilities and employment centers along Woodward Avenue. Through a public-private partnership, M-1 RAIL will also serve as a catalyst for investment, economic development and urban renewal to positively impact Detroit while helping to create a modern, regional transit system. In addition, Cullen is the chairman of Invest Detroit; vice chairman of the Downtown Detroit Partnership; and serves on the Detroit Zoological Society executive committee. He is also a board member of the Detroit Regional Chamber, Hudson-Webber Foundation, St. John Health Foundation, and Tech Town, and a trustee of the College of Creative Studies and Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. He has previously chaired the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Parade Company and the Metropolitan Detroit YMCA, and retains current executive committee membership with all three organizations. For more than 10 years, Cullen served as the governor-appointed chairman of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) executive committee. Cullen earned a degree in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. He also completed the Senior Executive Program at Harvard University. A native Detroiter, he resides with his wife Karen and their three sons in the Detroit area. Hassan Jaber Executive Director Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) As Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of ACCESS, Hassan Jaber has helped grow the organization from a small group of volunteers to more than 300 employees who work to empower and engage the community at both local and national levels. Prior to his appointment as Executive Director in 2007, Hassan was the Chief Operating Officer at ACCESS for 27 years. Born in Lebanon, Hassan immigrated to the United States in He earned a Bachelor s degree in Economics and a Master s degree in Public Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit. He is a 2001 Leadership Detroit graduate. In 2014, Hassan enrolled at Harvard Business School s executive education program and completed its course in Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management.

3 Hassan taught Arabic language and culture at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has also lectured on a range of topics related to Arab Americans, immigrants and civil rights issues. He contributes editorial opinion pieces in publications such as the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News and Huffington Post. Hassan is frequently interviewed by local national media on these topics as well. Mariam C. Noland President Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan Mariam C. Noland became the founding president of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, Detroit, Michigan, in Since its inception, the foundation has distributed nearly $887 million through more than 59,000 grants to nonprofit organizations throughout Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw, St. Clair and Livingston counties. Noland has extensive experience leading community foundations. She joined the staff of the Cleveland Foundation in 1975 where she served as program officer and secretary/treasurer. In 1981, she became vice president of the Saint Paul Foundation, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Prior to her work in the foundation field, Noland was on staff at Davidson College, Davidson, North Carolina, and Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio. Noland currently serves on the board of trustees of the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, Downtown Detroit Partnership Inc., Bipartisan Policy Center and CultureSource. She previously served as the vice chair, board of trustees, Henry Ford Health System and served on the board trustees of Independent Sector and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Noland also chaired the board of trustees for the Council of Michigan Foundations and served as vice chair for the board of trustees of the Council of Foundations. Noland was named 2015 Michiganian of the Year by The Detroit News and received the Eleanor Josaitis Unsung Hero Award. She was also honored with the 2010 Women and Leadership in the Workplace Award and the Others Award of the Salvation Army.

4 Noland obtained her Ed.M. from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science from Case Western Reserve University. She and her husband, James A. Kelly, live in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Shirley Stancato President and CEO New Detroit Coalition Shirley R. Stancato is president and chief executive officer of New Detroit, southeastern Michigan s leadership coalition devoted solely to race relations, serving as an essential forum for discussion and advocacy for racial equity. Under Stancato s leadership, New Detroit has developed and launched a series of initiatives to further its mission to provide solutions to promote racial equity in the region. Prior to joining New Detroit, Stancato enjoyed a long career at what is now, Chase Bank, where she became senior vice president. Stancato earned bachelor s and master s degrees from Wayne State University. Stancato is a board member of the Coleman A. Young Foundation, Excellent Schools Detroit, Fifth Third Bank Eastern Michigan, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, DTE Energy Community Advisory Council, Wayne State University President s Community Advisory Group, University of Michigan- Dearborn Citizens Advisory Committee, Detroit Zoological Commission, and the Statewide Educational Achievement Authority. Stancato has received awards and recognition including a 2003 Woman of Achievement by the Anti- Defamation League, a 2003 Regional Power Broker by Crain s Detroit Business, and appeared in Who s Who In Black Detroit the Inaugural Edition, In 2007, she received a Distinguished Leadership Award from the Michigan Business and Professional Association, and the Idealist in Action Award from City Year Detroit. In 2008, the Detroit News named Stancato a Michiganian of the Year. In 2009, Stancato was named a Woman of Excellence by the Michigan Chronicle and received an Excellence in Leadership Award from 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit, Inc. In 2014, Stancato received the Greater Good Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO Greater Detroit). In 2015 Stancato received the inaugural Daniel H. Krichbaum Visionary Civic Leader Award (Interfaith Leadership Council) and the Michigan Delegation of the Congressional Black Caucus Champion of Justice Award. In 2016, Stancato received the Architect of Change Award from the Chauncy Glover Project, and from BMe the Vanguard Award. In 2017, Stancato received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Michigan.

5 Mark Stryker Arts Reporter and Music Critic Detroit Free Press ( ) Mark Stryker is a cultural journalist and critic with 27 years of experience working in daily newspapers. From he was an arts reporter and critic at the Detroit Free Press covering classical music, jazz, visual arts and cultural news and issues. He has won numerous national reporting and writing awards for work on subjects as varied as the Detroit bankruptcy and Detroit Institute of Arts, the opening of the Detroit Opera House, classical composer Elliott Carter and jazz bassist Ron Carter. Stryker's first book, "Made in Detroit: Jazz From the Motor City," will be published in 2018 by the University of Michigan Press. He was named a Kresge Artist Fellow in Stryker was born in Bloomington, Ind.. He has a bachelor's degree in American history from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in journalism from Indiana University. He previously worked for newspapers in Dayton, Ohio, and South Bend, Ind., and before entering journalism he worked as a jazz saxophonist.
