With plenty of time to immerse myself in local culture, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It s a hallmark of the Ross experience and a key reason our students go on to be successful. Put simply, we send you out into the real world with real-world experience. For instance, in 2013, students involved with our Tauber Institute for Global Operations found companies $500 million in projected savings --- over a three year period --- in team projects. Action-based learning means that when you face your first team challenge at work, you ll say, Been there, done that.

That s what happens during the Ross Crisis Challenge, a fast-moving event where student teams assume the roles of senior managers facing a devastating company crisis. Develop a plan. You defend it in front of a demanding board of directors. And you face real journalists who ask the hard-hitting questions. Along the way, you receive feedback from faculty judges, communication coaches, and journalists. Feel like you re being thrown to the wolves (but that s the point). The Ross Crisis Challenge will test you, but it doesn t stop there. At Ross, you ll work hard. And when you graduate, you ll be prepared to lead in the most challenging environments.
