Background GBL was originally incorporated as Starchem Industries Ltd in December 1991 by Mr T. Sandeep Kumar Reddy (Present Chairman). GBL is a part of Hyderabad-based Gayatri group, which is in the business of infrastructure and civil constructions, sugar and hospitality. GBL is engaged in the business of manufacturing of Maize, Starch, sorbitol (Sugar Alcohol), Liquid Glucose and other allied products having an installed capacity of 135,000 MTPA for maize crushing as on March 31, Credit Risk Assessment Delays in debt servicing The company has been facing liquidity issues resulting in delays in debt servicing at the back of lower cash accruals coupled vis-à-vis higher debt obligations. Experienced promoter group GBL is a part of Hyderabad-based Gayatri group of companies promoted by Dr T. Subbarami Reddy and his son Mr Sandeep Kumar Reddy. The group has varied interests across construction, hospitality, agri-business, power sectors. Mr Sandeep Reddy acquired his Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and his Masters in Construction Engineering and Management from University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
