5 S MBOKI MBAKISO CHILISA MANAGING LLB (University of Botswana) 2005 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION Attorney of the High Courts of Botswana (2006) Conveyancer and Notary Public (2006) PROFESSIONAL MEMBERHIP Mboki Mbakiso Chilisa is the proprietor of the firm, having acquired same from Peter Collins in 2012 after being Peter s professional assistant for the previous 6 years. Mboki has been an attorney of the High Court of Botswana for the past 12 years. His practice areas include Employment Law, Commercial and Property Law as well as Administrative and Constitutional Law. Mboki specializes in Employment Law and has represented large corporations and trade unions in many ground-breaking cases. These include contentious briefs such as the 2011 public sector strike; the case in respect of the right of civil servants to vote in political primary elections and the appeal by the President of the Republic of Botswana, Attorney General and others against NALCGPWU in respect of the constitutionality of Section 4 of the Court of Appeal Act relating to judges conditions of contract. Mboki provides advice to corporates on restructuring and redundancy exercises, disciplinary proceedings and all aspects of employments law. He is the first-choice attorney in Gaborone where employment law is concerned and has earned that reputation through many successful results in all the Botswana courts.

He graduated from University of Botswana in 2010 with an LLB Degree. He focuses on General Litigation at the Industrial Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal. His client base includes several banks and notable corporates. He also heads up the firm s very busy debt collection department.

7 S KIVEN MVUDUDU LLB (Honours) (University of Zimbabwe) 2009 CRT Finance and investments (University of Wales) 2014 PROFESSIONAL MEMBERHIP Member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe Kiven Mvududu is an experienced Associate who joined the firm in He graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2009 with an LLB (Honours) Degree. He has amassed experience and developed proficiency in corporate advisory in the capital markets industry, labour relations, contract and competition law as well as High Court civil litigation. He now focuses on General Litigation at the Industrial Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal. Kiven is a savvy professional who has worked with several local and International Hedge funds and brokers in both legal and business rescue advisory capacities. He has advised clients on regulatory and compliance requirements, particularly in the Capital Markets industry and was instrumental in shaping local legislation in respect of new Investment products in the capital markets industry in his interactions with the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority.

She assisted in setting up our Francistown branch where she is now based and discharges overall administrative responsibility. This is a social initiative whose primary aim is to assist law school students to successfully navigate law school by providing regular motivation and conducting tutorial and workshop sessions.

During her time at Phumaphi, Chakalisa & Co, Hazel worked closely with the recently appointed Judge of the High Court Mr. Gabriel Gadzani Komboni and assisted him in land law matters, criminal matters and was exposed to a spectrum of legal services provided by the Firm. She was admitted as an attorney of the Courts of Botswana in 2016 and has experience in Debt Collection, Administration of Estates, General Civil Litigation, Family and Labour Relations Law. Hazel focuses on General Litigation at the Industrial Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal and is in charge of the firm s debt collection portfolio in Francistown. Voluntary Work Hazel is member of IBelong Foundation (Botswana) a Non- governmental organisation, non-political, nonprofitable, Christian organization established and created in February 2018 aimed at empowering girls and their families through welfare projects on education, health care livelihood, and youth empowerment.

She works closely with Mboki as her Pupil Master and is exposed to the spectrum of legal services in Employment law, Labour law and Contract law. She is a certified data privacy specialist, thus she is equipped with the necessary expertise to deal with data protection matters ranging from privacy compliance to privacy program governance under the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) as well as Botswana s Data Protection Act of Her interest in emerging areas of law extends to cyber law, block chain technologies and digital forensics which are in Botswana untapped markets that she intends to pursue having regard of the relevance of the internet and information technology in our daily lives. Voluntary Work Senwelo is a squash player and an Executive Committee member of Botswana Squash Rackets Association (BSRA) since The BSRA is the national governing body for squash in Botswana. She drives the association s organizational and strategic intents as far as legal compliance and corporate governance are concerned.

Mr. Collins was admitted as an attorney of the South African Supreme Court in 1971 and practiced law in South Africa until He came to Botswana and was admitted an attorney of the Botswana courts in He immediately set up his own legal practice in Lobatse which later merged with Kirby Helfer to become Kirby Helfer & Collins. In 1991, with the departure of Kirby and Helfer and admission of Newman as partner, the practice became Collins Newman & Co of which Mr. Collins remained partner until He was elevated to the bench as a High Court judge in In 2005, he left the bench to set up Collins Legal Consultants, a private consultancy practice giving specialist advice to banks, corporates, accountants and attorneys. Mboki Mbakiso Chilisa joined him as assistant the following year and in 2012 acquired full equity in the practice which was renamed Collins Chilisa Consultants. Mr. Collins remains with the firm as consultant to it. In addition, he continues to arbitrate in commercial and construction disputes and is a Fellow of the Botswana Institute of Arbitrators. Mr. Collins wealth of experience as both a legal practitioner and judicial officer makes him ably suited to give practical and holistic advice on complex legal matters.
