1 LEONG Ka-Chai 梁家齊 OBE SBS JP 銀紫荊星章太平紳士 Leong Ka-Chai has over 30 years experience in the securities and derivatives industry. He has been the Chairman of Roctec group of companies since He is committed to the business of providing reliable financial services, including securities and derivatives brokerage and investment advice. Mr. Leong has been contributing to the development of the Hong Kong financial market. He is the fellow member of the Hong Kong Securities Institute. He was a Director of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) and has participated in various working committees of the HKEx. He was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) from 1992 to 1995, and was a Director of both HKFE and HKFE Clearing Corporation from 1989 to He was member of the Advisory Committee and the Shareholders Group of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. Mr. Leong played a responsible part in the education of the finance professionals. In 2008, the HKSAR Government appointed Mr. Leong to be a member of The Task Force on Economic Challenges under the Chief Executive in response to the global financial tsunami. In 2010, Mr. Leong was appointed to be a member of the Committee on Strategic Enhancement of Hong Committee and a member of the China Securities Index Co., Ltd Index Advisory Committee. In 2013, Mr. Leong was appointed to be a co-opted member of the Mainland Opportunities Committee of the Financial Services Development Council. In February 2014, Mr. Leong was appointed to be a Departmental Advisory Committee of the Department of Economics and Finance of the City University of Hong Kong. 3 Mr. Lewis Chan, has over 14 years of experience in portfolio management and investment research. He is the Managing Partner since 2004 at MaunaKai Capital Partners (Hong Kong) Limited. Mr. Chan is also a co-founder of Symbior Energy, an alternative energy incubation company with distributed solar power pipeline in Thailand and feedstock supply chain business in China. Mr. Chan was formerly assistant professor of finance during 2000 to 2004 and adjunct associate professor of finance from 2004 to 2006 at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was also an advisor during 2009 to 2013 to North Yard Economics, a non-profit consultancy to developing countries. Mr. Chan was a winner of the Fama-DFA Prize of the Best Papers published in 2003 in the Journal of Financial Economics. He is also a research fellow at The China Center for Financial Research at Tsinghua University, and a member of the Admissions, Budgets and Allocations Committee, the Community Chest of Hong Kong. Mr. Chan received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, specializing in financial economics and quantitative methods. 4 NG Chi Hin Ernest, Chief Investment Officer, Sumeru Capital Mr. Ng is the Founder and CIO of Sumeru Capital, with over 10 years of experience in Asia Pacific financial markets. Prior to founding Sumeru Capital, he was a senior investment analyst at Broad Peak Investment Advisers in Singapore since August From May 2006 to August 2008, Mr. Ng was a Vice President and Associate at Morgan Stanley's principal investment team in Hong Kong, where he managed an equity long-short strategy in Asia Pacific public markets with a focus on Greater China. Mr. Ng started his career as Analyst and Associate in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong advising Asian corporates and government in financing, mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions. He has in-depth knowledge and practical experience with the securities and corporate finance regulatory environment in Hong Kong and China. Mr. Ng graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Arts in International Relations. 5 Dr. Samuel Po-Shing Wong is the instructor of Algorithmic Trading of Stanford Quantitative Finance Program (Hong Kong) where he has been serving the same program as a member of the Advisory Council since Dr. Wong obtained his PhD from the Department of Statistics at Stanford University. He taught in UC Davis before he moved back to Hong Kong. Between 2011 and 2013, Dr. Wong was the Head of Research (Trading Strategies and Risk Management) of CASH Dynamic Opportunities Investment Limited and was responsible for developing high frequency trading algorithms. Dr. Wong is always eager to share his practical experience with the academia. In the past few years, Dr. Wong actively took part in algorithmic trading workshops and seminars in Fudan University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), National Taiwan University, National University of Singapore, Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance at Jiao Tong University, Stanford University and UC Berkeley. Before his algorithmic trading venture, Dr. Wong was heavily involved in financial risk management. He offered training courses to various financial institutes such as China Development Bank, Hang Seng Bank, HSBC, Wing Hang Bank and many others. He also was a chief modeler in a Basel II project. Between 2011 and 2012, he held an Adjunct Professorship at the Business School of HKUST where he taught Data Analysis for the MBA program.
