2 Moderator Emily Roschek is Director of ABA Legal Career Central (LCC), dedicated to providing robust career development resources and job opportunities for law students and lawyers at any stage of their career. Emily comes to LCC with experience in program management for both the American Bar Association and The Chicago Bar Association (CBA) producing continuing legal education webinars and seminars in various areas of law. She is currently a Project Officer of the CBA s Young Lawyers Section, former Chair of their Future of the Profession Committee and former Co Chair of the CBA YLS Professional Responsibility Committee. Previously, Emily became a certified mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution and was hired as a part time Hearing Officer for the Illinois Office of the Comptroller. She also has large firm ediscovery experience, practiced labor and employment law in a small firm, and served in the general counsel s office of the Illinois Education Association NEA. Emily earned her J.D. from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law and her B.A. at the University of Michigan. Faculty Chris Fortier is an attorney advisor with the Social Security Administration s Office of Hearing Operations in Falls Church, Virginia. He works for the Chief Administrative Law Judge supporting the national hearing operation. Before coming to Northern Virginia, he was at the Charlottesville hearing office and the National Hearing Center. He has served in various capacities for the ABA Young Lawyers Division including as a delegate representing Virginia to the YLD Assembly, a committee chair for its Infrastructure and Aviation committees, a liaison to other sections, and a director and coordinator in the executive cabinet. He was chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, laying out the YLD s Vision 2021 plan. He has served as Young Lawyer liaison to the Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice from Chris is the President of the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference. He previously oversaw the Professional Development Conference and has expanded the YLC s social media footprint. He won the Edwin Burnett Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2013 and is currently a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Judge Jodi B. Levine is an Administrative Law Judge with the Social Security Administration Office of Hearing Operations. Prior to this position she served as a Senior Administrative Law Judge with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and was recognized by the Governor of Oklahoma for her exemplary service with a Governor s Commendation. She is an Honors Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law. Judge Levine is a former member of the ABA Board of Governors, Past Chair of the ABA Judicial Division and Judicial Division National Conference of the Administrative Law Judiciary. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Association and Fellow of the Judicial Division National Conference of the Administrative Law Judiciary. Judge Levine has been a panelist and moderator of national level programs covering issues of fair and impartial courts, diversity on the bench, administrative law; judicial security and judicial ethics including bias and the appearance of impropriety.
