4 Thomas Aebischer I CEO, ACUTRONIC Medical Systems AG Thomas Aebischer has a broad experience in general management and marketing and sales across various functions in large global corporations as well as small and midsize businesses. He is a business economist with more than 20 years of experience in the international medtech industry. Thomas Aebischer is CEO of Acutronic Medical System AG which is a global player in mechanical ventilation with a headcount of 30 people in Switzerland, developing and manufacturing high tech ventilation technologies for the most critical areas of respiratory care neonatology, jet ventilation and difficult airway management. Ulrike Bauer I Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales Delivery Systems, Ypsomed Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales Delivery Systems, with Ypsomed (pre-2003 with Disetronic) since 2001 in different Marketing & Sales functions and since 2014 a member of Executive Management. Previously Product Manager with Mettler Toledo ( ). Ulrike Bauer graduated in chemical engineering and biotechnology at the University of Aachen and completed a postgraduate diploma in International Management at the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences in Zurich. Terence Gan I President (Europe), Singapore Economic Development Board Mr Terence Gan is presently the President (Europe) for EDB. He oversees the investment promotion efforts that are carried out by EDB s offices in Europe. Prior to this position, he was the Director for EDB s Electronics Cluster. Terence joined EDB in He received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000.

5 Moderation / Danielle Giroud I RN, MBA Founder, MD-CLINICALS & WMDO Ms. Giroud is the founder of WMDO, an independent professional training organization dedicated exclusively to the educational needs of medical device professionals. Since 2013, Mrs Giroud also founded MD-CLINICALS, a 100% medical device dedicated Clinical Research Organisation with main activities in the Asia Pacific, S-America and, Europe. Serving medical device manufacturers from around the globe with high quality clinical research and regulatory services and supporting them getting their products to the target markets. Ms. Giroud is currently convener for the ISO working group and liaises with several regulatory authorities throughout the world to ensure harmonization in medical device GCP. Alexander Hagemann I CEO, Cicor Group Degree in Mechanical Engingeering, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Joined the Cicor Group as Chief Executive Officer on September 1, with Schaffner Group as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that held a number of management positions with the Schott Group, including Executive Vice President, Optics for Devices; preceded by various management roles in the area of production and logistics at BMW. Member of the Board of Directors of WICOR Holding AG. Member of the Executive Board of the Swiss- Asian Chamber of Commerce, Zurich, Switzerland Philippe Koller I Vice President Marketing & Sales, Cicor Group Philippe Koller, holds a degree in micro-systems engineering from University of Applied Science, Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, and an executive MBA from University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He also attended the Strategic Marketing program at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena (CA), USA. Prior to joining Cicor as Vice President Sales & Marketing as of April 2014, Philippe serves as Business Unit Manager of EM Microelectronic a Swatch Group company. He has 25 years of experience in the electronic industry and has held various management positions in Europe and USA with CSEM, Xemics, Semtech and Swatch Group.

6 Kelly Lai I Centre Director, Europe, Economic Development Board Kelly Lai is presently Centre Director based in Frankfurt with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), with coverage primarily of the chemicals, biomedical and consumer industries in Germany. Her career at EDB started at the Human Capital Division in 2010, which is responsible for manpower strategies supporting Singapore s industries. She then moved to the New Business Group, before spending some time with the Energy & Chemicals industry development group prior to her posting to Germany. Kelly completed her Masters degree in International and Development Economics at Yale University in 2010, and her Bachelors in Social and Political Science at the University of Cambridge in Dr. Andreas Schmidt I CEO and Co-founder, AYOXXA Before he became CEO and co-founder of AYOXXA, Dr. Andreas Schmidt started his career by obtaining a PhD in molecular and cell biology jointly from the University of Cologne and the University of California, Berkeley, Andreas Schmidt received several prestigious fellowships and awards in the USA, Germany, China, Taiwan and Singapore. He served on the advisory board of the German Academic International Network (GAIN) heading the Transatlantic Entrepreneurship Network (TEN) and was nominated by the newspaper Die Zeit as one of the Top5 Young researchers of the year 2010 in Germany. As Co-founder and CEO he developed AYOXXA into an international company with more than 35 employees and locations in Boston (USA), Singapore and Germany. Josep Sitjes Heras Business Development Director Asia, DKSH Management (Thailand) Limited Josep Sitjes Heras is a professional with over 22 years of experience and a rising career in different companies. He holds a degree in Biology with additional education in business administration (PDD-IESE) and started his professional career in the animal health business. During this period, he acquired experience in people management and build up international experience in setting up subsidiaries in Asia. During the last 11 years he has been focused in the medical device sector assuming different management positions, which has brought him a deep knowledge and profound experience in dealing with business plans, leading cultural changes in sales organizations, marketing campaigns, key accounting, product and market development, reduction plan cost and improving profit of P&L.
