Perhaps now it s one of the finest amplifiers of its type. Fifteen watts of pure chime! Syrupy, sweet with a sheen of crystal highs. Low end that is warm and tight. Switch from the bass and treble control to the five-way tone selector and get a nice thick mid-range punch that will cut through any mix. With a master volume that can be switched in or out of the circuit. This combined with a half power switch enabling you to go from 5 to 7 watt will get your sound at small venue friendly volumes. Soft breakup is where this amp leaves everything else behind. The touch sensitivity allows you to go from shimmer to grind with the touch of a pick. Five years later Guitar Player magazine recognized the achievement as being one of the finest combo amps ever built. Bad Cat has once again defined and refined the best. New for this year is the Hot Cat 30 and 30R. Both are built into the same 7, -gauge steel chassis. If Bad Cat has a flagship, this is it. We started with one of the nicest most touch responsive clean channel ever designed and added our 5-way tone selector, enabling the ability to tailor the amp to bright single coils or thick warm double coils. 8 30 Watt TREM CAT 30 SINGLE CHANNEL, 30 WATT, EL Start with the rich chime of the EF6 side of a Black Cat 30. Add lush reverb and pulsating tremolo and you have one of the finest single channel amps ever made. A - EL 30 watt power platform running in Class A provides the engine. The Trem Cat is a Guitar Player magazine Editors Award winner and perhaps our most versatile single channel amp. The tone circuit is truly unique and affords unparalleled control over your tone shaping. There are two basic tonal options available. First, our five position tone cap selector and our standard bass and treble tone stack. The selector switch is the key to dialing in your sound. Position one bypasses the tone stack altogether and feels like you are plugged strait into your output section. Position two activates the five way tone selector. Allowing you five choices of tone caps and affording great control over the bottom end and thickness. Position three moves you over to the bass and treble controls. Here the amp has more of a scooped hi-fi type of feel. Lastly, position four engages both the selector and the bass and treble controls. Between the cut control which adds high end sparkle, near infinite tone shaping can be had here. A master volume that can be switched out of the circuit along with a half power switch insures that you can get to any level of gain at just about any volume level. 9 WILD CAT 0 DUAL CHANNEL, 0 WATT, DUAL EL3 0 Watt Two EL3 s, Class A power section. Bold, aggressive with plenty of grunt and punch. Glassy highs riding over the top of the complex mids and tight lows. The Wild Cat shares a lineage with the Black Cat preamp section but that s where the similarities end. Two foot switchable channels. Channel one is AX7 based with a standard bass and treble tone stack. This channel is warm with punchy tight mids and lows. Channel one produces thick and richly complex tones with just the right amount of high-end glass sitting on top. Great for mid heavy chunky rhythms or 70 s style crunch tones. Engage the master volume, which can be switched in or out of the channel circuit, to get stage friendly drive. Each channel has its own master that can be switched in or out. Channel two is where this amp steps into its own. EF6 preamp pushed into either a five-way tone selector or a bass and treble tone stack, giving this amp a great flexibility in tone shaping. The five-way selector is a five-tone capacitor bank, that is switchable in five different values. Five different levels of low and mid control, gives you the ability to bypass the tone stack and essentially plug into the output power section. There is a three dimensional hi-fi feel to the sound. The mids are moved slightly forward and the highs become more transparent and clear. The amp sits in your hands more like an instrument. LUCA/STELLA SINGLE CHANNEL, 0 WATT, DUAL EL3 Sometimes we build a custom amp for an artist that is so good that we want to offer it to everyone. The Stella and the Luca are just that. Both share simple single channel preamps based on opposite sides of the Wild Cat. Both have 0 watt EL3 based power sections running in class A. The control panels consist of the classic Bad Cat preamp: volume, 5-way selector, bass, treble, cut and a master volume that can be switched out of the circuit. The difference between these two rests in the first stage of the preamp. The Luca is built on a AX7 platform with all of the thick articulate and punchy midrange sweetness that goes with it. Think of an extended version of channel one of the Wild Cat. The Luca offers a switch between the 5-way tone selector and the traditional bass and treble tone stack. A feature not found on the Wild Cat s channel one. Switch over to the bass and treble tone stack and get a sweeter more scooped type of tone. Beautiful cleans are to be had here, clear with lots of shimmer. Engage the master volume for channel two and push this is aggressive rock territory. Single note lines drip in harmonics, notes bloom and sing and allow you to play the amp like you would your guitar. Dual reverb controls and half power switch round out the features. 10 50 Watt LYNX 50 DUAL CHANNEL, 50 WATT, EL3 HIGH GAIN The baddest of the bad! This is our no holds barred, hard rock tone machine. When we set out to design the Lynx we wanted to build the best high gain amplifier on the market. We brought everything to the table and all the tricks we ve have learned over the years. Huge and full, but with a note articulation not found at these levels of gain. Saturation and tone is so full that the single notes are fat. Chords are deep and full because we run the power section in Class A to get your harmonics soaring in and out of chords and single notes at will. If you have ever experienced the pleasure of playing a really fine vintage single-ended all tube amplifier then you ll know the feeling. Touch sensitivity, sweet breakup and natural sounding compression. It changes the way you play inspiring and pushing you as a player. The problem that arises with single-ended amplifiers is that they are limited to low wattage situations. Imagine having that touch sensitivity and tone at gig-able volumes. Until now this was impossible. We d like to introduce our newest cat the Bobcat. Hand-wired, single-ended, touch sensitive, ferocious and ultra light weight amplifier. Utilizing the patent pending Bad Cat Unleash technology, this little hand-wired beast is capable producing about 00 watts RMS from a single-ended amplifier. High and low gain settings allow for spanky clean and snarling tones accessible by the included foot switch. Two foot-switchable Unleash volume levels allow for lead and rhythm volume settings. The Unleash Technology With the Unleash disengaged the Bobcat is essentially an elegant sweet sounding single ended 5-watt amplifier.
