7 6.Audio Routing Options Although the input and output options are not functions of the pedal you will find 4 options for routing your audio signals through your audio interface and the correct in/out setup for the software: 6.1. This is for a simple 2 In 2 Out setup. It uses input monitoring so both the guitar signal and mic signal run straight through the software for monitoring This gives you 2 In 4 Out, again using input monitoring. This means you will have your guitar and mic signal running straight through the software on Output 1 and 2 with your loops on Output 3 and This gives you 2 In 2 Out but without using input monitoring. This means you have an isolated vocal and mic track running separately to the PA/Amp and your loops running out of Output 1 and 2 on your audio interface, allowing the guitar, mic and loop tracks to be mixed individually This is a 2 In 4 Out setup without input monitoring. This setup gives you full control of the mic, guitar and each of the 4 loop tracks individually.

12 7.Setup the Software You can use the pedal with either the Sonnit Software or Mobius. Visit the Sonnit website and download the Sonnit software (or Mobius Scripts). If you are using Mobius you will also need to also need to download and install Mobius from the Circular Labs website. Although we provide the Mobius scripts we no longer support this so please see our YouTube videos for Mobius setup. To setup the Sonnit software open the file and follow the on screen instructions. For more information on the Sonnit Software please download the Software Manual from the Sonnit website.

13 8.Record/Play a Track Once you have the software setup and the MIDI output from the pedal mapped (for mapping please see the Sonnit Software manual) you are ready to record. Record Using individual track Buttons First select Record Mode by pressing the Mode button until the red LED above the Rec/Play All pedal lights. To record directly to a track you can press one of the Track buttons (1-4). This will begin recording the first loop on the track button that s pressed e.g. if you press the Track 2 your first loop will be on Track 2. Once you finish your loop press the same button used to start the loop to end and enter Overdub. You can now either continue to overdub the track or press the track button again to start Play. Now you have your first track recorded if you have selected Synced' (for sync modes please see the Sonnit Software manual) as your record mode all the other track lengths will now be set the length of the first track recorded. Record Using Selected Track You can also Record/Overdub/Play using the Record/Play All Pedal. This will Record/Overdub/Play the selected track (highlighted in green in the Sonnit Software). To begin a new recording switch the pedal to Play Mode by pressing the Mode button until the red LED above the Rec/Play All button is not lit. Now select the track you want to start your recording on (using the Track 1-4 buttons). The track you select will highlight green in the Sonnit Software. Now press the Mode button again to return to record Mode (LED above the Rec/Play All button will be lit). Now by pressing the Rec/Play All button the software will begin recording on the selected track. Once you have finished your loop press the Rec/Play All button again to finish the recording and enter Overdub. The Rec/Play All button will act as the individual Track buttons do for any selected track.

14 8.Record/Play a Track (cont) Record using a Mix of Track buttons and Selected Track You can also record using a mix of both these methods. Start recording a loop by pressing a Track button. Then once you finish the loop (as the track is now selected) you can use the Rec/Play All button to finish recording and start overdub etc. Stopping a Recording If you want to stop a recorded track simply press the Stop button. Playing Tracks Once you have recorded your tracks you can switch to Play Mode by pressing the Mode Button. The red LED above the Rec/Play All button will turn off indicating that you are in Play Mode. In Play Mode The Track (1-4) pedals now change function to Play/Stop. If you press a track button that is playing it will stop that track, press again and it will start playing that track again. If more than one track is playing it will start playing again in time with the tracks already playing. If no tracks are playing it will start the track again from the beginning. Play All To Play All tracks use the Play All pedal. Again if tracks are already playing this will just play all tracks that are currently not playing in time with the tracks that are playing. If no tracks are playing it will play all tracks from the start.

15 9.Extra Functions Undo (same in Play and Record Mode) The Undo button will undo the last recording. By pressing the Undo button again it will Redo the last Undo. The Undo function is track specific so it will undo/redo the last recording of the selected track only. Clear (same in Play and Record Mode) The Clear button will remove the audio from the selected track but keep the timing. This means you can clear the audio from a track without affecting the length of the loop. Reset (same in Play and Record Mode) This will remove all the audio recorded and the timing from the tracks. Multiply The Multiply button has two different functions in Play Mode and Record Mode. In Record Mode The Multiply button will simply Multiply the selected track length by 2. Pressing the multiply button again will multiply the track length by 2 giving you a track 4 times longer than the original etc. In Play Mode In Play Mode the Multiply button will activate the select preset feature (for information on presets please see the Sonnit software manual). Press the Multiply button and the LED to the right will light indicating you are in Preset Select Mode. You can now use the Track 2 button to go down through the presets, the Track 4 button to go up through the presets and the Track 3 button to select the preset. WARNING: In preset mode none of the other buttons or pedals will function.

16 10.Troubleshooting Problem Pressing the pedals/buttons doesn t do anything on the computer: Solution Check the pedal has power. When connected the LEDs should flash. Check you have connected the cables properly. The MIDI Out on the Pedal should go to the MIDI In on your interface. The MIDI In on the pedal should go to the MIDI Out on the interface. Check that you have selected the correct MIDI device in the preferences panel (see Sonnit software manual). Check you have correctly mapped the MIDI output of the pedal to the software functions (see the Sonnit software manual). These should be correct as default. Use the MIDI Debug cable supplied with the pedal and connect it directly to your computer USB port (changing the Sonnit Software MIDI preferences as required). If this works there may be an issue with your audio interface.

17 10.Troubleshooting Problem The track LEDs are not working. Solution Check the MIDI Out on the interface is connected to the MIDI In on the pedal. The screen is Off. Press the button at the bottom right of the screen The screen is BLUE Make sure you have a VGA cable connected to the pedal from your computer and the computer is setup for a second monitor. The pedal suddenly went off. Check the power socket that the pedal power supply is connected to is working. If it is contact Sonnit for guidance.
