About Mops Wet mops are available with several time-saving options each suited to a particular need. Consider these options to get the best value for the intended application. Sta-Flat Sta-Flat fi xtures give the mop great maneuverability and performance. This simple design helps the mop lay fl at on the fl oor to improve coverage. Careful initial processing is essential for maximum mop head life. 2. All new mops should be processed separately, if possible, and overloaded 25-50% by weight. 3. The break operation should be reduced by 3/4, and maximum water temperature (160 F) used. 4. Rinses should be at a low level and the fi nal two rinses should be with cold water. Dust Mop Notes Drying: Tumble at 120 F 160 F until dry. Longevity Tips: 1. Briskly shake out excessive dust in mop head before washing. 2. Final rinse in water to remove alkali. 3. Excessive temperatures and drying times will cause rapid mop deterioration. Microfiber Drying: For best results, air dry microfi ber mops at 140 F or less, until 25% moisture content or less. Handling/Processing: 1. Do not use bleach to remove stains or for any other reason. Bleach will decrease the effectiveness and durability of the microfi ber product Note: Do not use fabric softener. Do not wash with terry towels, regular mops or any other products that will shed lint. Overtime, the use of harsh chemicals such as those contained in bleach and fabric softeners will reduce the performance and longevity of microfi ber mops. 3
