1. "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" WRITTEN BY: DANIEL ROBINSON FADE IN: EXT - OLD HOUSE - MORNING WHOLE SHOT OF THE HOUSE, We can see an old house. Opening music plays. FADE TO: BLACK FADE TO: EXT - HOUSE Four guys arguing back and forth. Dude. This place is definitely haunted. Yeah. I think it could be, you know anything is possible. (sarcastically) You think! (serious) Yeah. There is always a possibility that it is not haunted. What makes this place seem haunted? Not haunted. Are you crazy? All houses that look spooky are almost all ways haunted. Plus this house has a legend! Tom steps between Darren and Stan.

2. Now guys. We all know that this old place is not haunted. (loudly) You know what? I could prove it! I ll back you up man. See. I m not the only one here, who thinks that this house is haunted. Why do you think that this house is haunted? Because man. This place is old and it has a legend. You all ready said that! Shut up! What legend would that be? (laughing) You mean you don t know? If I did would I have asked? Okay. The legend says that a priest summoned up a demon and it possessed him and killed anyone who entered the house. A few years ago a woman by the name of Martha entered the house she was found the next day by a local. The police said that there was no sign or evidence of anyone else in the house!

3. You call that a legend? What would you call a legend? Maybe something like Friday the thirteenth or nightmare on elm street. Those are just movies this is the real deal. I think your wrong. No I know that this is a haunted house. So because something has a legend, it is assumed to be haunted? No. It has to come from within the house. Ok. I m confused. It s horror 101. You have to know horror and legends to know what I am talking about. So let me get this right. This house is haunted because a demon was summoned and possessed a priest who killed people? Right! So how do yo plan on proving that this house is haunted?

4. I don t know. Some man you are! You run your mouth and can t even back it up. Jeff puts his head down in shame. I don t always have the answers. Tom looks at the house and sees a curtain move. EXT - HOUSE WINDOW EXT - HOUSE - Jeff looks back up at Tom. So what are we doing? I think these two are trying to decide that. Oh! Hey Tom. Tom continues to look at the house. Hey. Earth to Tom. Is any one home? Tom just stands there with no expression on his face. (CONT) Hey can you hear me? Tom pops out of his daze and looks at Jeff.

5. Yeah. I heard you. Then what did I say? Something is not right. That s not what he said. What did you say Tom? Something is not right. What are you talking about? Forget it. It s not important. Listen I got this idea and well I think it would end our discussion of, if this place were haunted. What do you have in mind? Do you guys scare easy or no? Hell no. Of course not! I don t why? Stan looks back at the house, and then back at the guys. Well we all could stay the night in this house.

6. How does that solve anything? Well if this place is not haunted then we all would know. If it is then I m sure that we won t be in there very long. Jeff looks at the house and looks back at Tom. Sounds good to me. How about you guys? So when would you like to do this? How about now? Jeff glances around at Stan and Darren and looks at Tom. Ok. I ll do this and it will prove that the house is haunted. Well! What do guys think? I m in. Me too. Then it is decided. Tom looks back at the house. (very loudly) All right! Let s meet back here tomorrow. What s wrong with doing it now? I have things to do tomorrow!

7. We all need to get some sleep and take care of things first. Yeah like your will. They all start to laugh. Ha ha. I have to get cigarettes. Let s meet here tomorrow around four or so. Sounds good to me. Yeah four. So tomorrow it is. AND Jeff and Darren walk away from the house. They head to old lady Mertile s house. They walk up the porch stairs and knock on the door. The door slowly opens and a face peeks around the door. OLD LADY (scared) Who are you? What do you want? (politely) My name is Jeff and this is Darren we were wondering about the old house. OLD LADY (happy) Come inside.

8. INT OLD LADY S HOUSE Jeff smacks Darren (politely) This is a nice place. OLD LADY (happily) Thank you. Now what do you want to know? (curiously) What really happened in the house? Was there really a demon in side of it? Ouch! What was that for? You don t ask a question like that. OLD LADY What house are you talking about? The old haunted house in the woods. OLD LADY (serious) Oh. That house. That place needs to be knocked down all ready. That s the place. What do you know about it? OLD LADY It all started a few years ago, and the correct term is, is there is a demon still in the house. You

9. FADE IN: INT - CHURCH INT - CHURCH - LIBRAIRY know. I will tell you the story. It was a bitter night. There was something bad in the air. OLD LADY (V.O.) You see the priest was inside of his church, looking for some spellbook. He told me about it and how he was so close to finding it. PRIEST In the early sixteen hundreds, a god was called upon, he granted wishes to the priests who thought their lives were over. The ceremony took place in a town some where in Singapore He pulls out a map of the town and looks at it carefully. PRIEST (happily surprised) Ah Ha. The old abandoned house. It s the same address. That has got to be the place. Priest leaves the church and heads for the old house. EXT OLD HOUSE OLD LADY (V.O.) He went to the house. The Priest looks at the house and seems eager to enter. PRIEST This is the place. He enters the house. INT OLD HOUSE

10. Priest looks around. OLD LADY (V.O) He thought he would find the answers to all of his problems. But what he found was death. PRIEST Now to find that book! He looks around and sees the book on the table next to a couch. INT OLD LADY S HOUSE PRIEST (greedily) This seems too easy. But what the heck! INT OLD HOUSE So the book was on the table in plain view? OLD LADY I would guess so. Any way he now had the book. PRIEST With this book I will have all my dreams, my wishes. I have to look for the spell. He quickly flips through some of the pages and sees a spell. PRIEST Ok maybe this one. He reads a spell aloud.

11. PREIST (loudly) I call to you. The mighty El- Diablo. Come to my aid and grant me the wishes I have. By the name of Rocka Demako He waits but nothing happens. He tries again PRIEST (frustrated) I call to you. The mighty El- Diablo. Come to my aid and grant me the wishes I have. By the name of Rocka Demako He waits again and still nothing happens. PRIEST (angry) Stupid book! Stupid me! Why is it I run to every legend just to find out that they are fake. He slams the book shut and throws it across the room. The book fly s across the room and lands open. PRIEST (sadly) I should have known it was too good to be true. But why me? Why can t I be happy? I spend all day inside of a church devoting my life to God. Maybe I should just go back to the church and live my life the way I have been. The priest heads for the door with his head hung low. He tries to open the door but it won t open. He let s go of the door. PRIEST (surprised) What is wrong with the door?

12. PRIEST It never fails to amaze me. Some thing always happens to the priest. The priest feels something grab him. He screams. PRIEST HELP, HELP ME PLEASE. We hear the priest scream BLACK FADE TO: INT OLD LADY S HOUSE OLD LADY I was out that night bringing flowers to my husband s grave. I walked slowly because of my age, I didn t want to fall and get hurt, so I walked slowly. Any way, I walked near the old house and heard a noise. I thought it sounded like someone in screaming. There were some serious yelling coming from the house. So what did you do? OLD LADY So I stopped and looked in the window. The priest was being pulled into a room by something. What did it look like? OLD LADY It looked like some one dressed in a black robe. I didn t see his

13. face. It was only a few years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. So it could have been anything right? Like some one dressed in a black robe. OLD LADY Yes. It could have been anything. (interested) What did you do next? The old lady starts crying. OLD LADY (crying) Well, I called the cops and they went in to the house to investigate. When they came back out, they said there was no one inside. So the priest was never found? OLD LADY No, I m afraid he was never found. The cops found no blood or anything? OLD LADY Well, I know they did but they said nothing pointed to a murder. I think that s strange. I mean a priest murdered, and no evidence to prove it. OLD LADY That s what I said. But they just called me crazy. Me an old lady. I have lived in this town since I was born and they call me crazy.

14. Jeff looks around. So what happened next? OLD LADY Well the news spread like wild fire. The priest was never found and everyone was warned to stay away from the house. But right after the priest disappeared, a lady named Martha went into the house and never returned. Wow! I guess that the house is haunted. OLD LADY I know one thing. What s that? OLD LADY I don t think the house is haunted, I think that someone is killing people. Then we better be careful. What time is it? OLD LADY Oh it s about seven thirty. Why? We got to go. We got a big day tomorrow. OLD LADY Excuse me. Why did you want to know about the old house anyway? It s just that, me and Darren are going to spend the night in that house tomorrow with some friends.

15. OLD LADY It would be wise for you to stay away from that house. I know what I saw and that place is unsafe. There is nothing I can do about it. I ran my mouth to one of my friends and now, he wants four of us to stay there. OLD LADY Well maybe you should go and talk to your friend and get him to change his mind. I wish I could. OLD LADY Well if you have to go, then be careful. Jeff and Darren stand up and walk to the door. Darren steps out before Jeff Thank you for your time. OLD LADY Any time young man. Just beware of the house. Jeff stops and looks at the old lady. By the way I don t think you are crazy. The old lady smiles at Jeff. Jeff leaves the house. EXT OUT SIDE OF OLD LADY S HOUSE Jeff looks around and sees the empty streets. Jeff looks up at the sky and sees a starry night.

16. Jeff looks at Darren. Man. What if the stories are true? What if tomorrow is my last day alive? Hey Jeff. What are you thinking about? Well. What if the house really is haunted? So what if it is. You know all my life I always wanted to go inside of a haunted place. But now I m kinda scared. Don t let that old lady s stories get to you. After all the cops said that it was all in her mind. I guess your right. But what if there is a killer loose? Does it matter? Dude. It s just one night. Yeah. I ve got to chill out a little. Yeah. You ll see tomorrow that it s not that bad. They walk away from the old lady s house.

17. INT S HOUSE Tom and Stan are hanging out and drinking, listening to rock and roll music. Tom grabs another beer. (sarcastically) Hey Tom what is your beef with Jeff anyway? (angry) He just keeps running his mouth. Now he s saying that the house is haunted. You know that. I have to show him who is boss! If I let him get away with it, then everyone will think they can. If it s not one thing it s another. You know, just last week he was saying that I m living wrong. What is wrong with some one pointing out their option? Why do you seem to think that every one has a good side to them? Why can t you just accept the fact that sometimes people are bad? Because! All people have a good side to them! Whatever! Dude, turn up the music. (worried) Yeah! Stan walks over to the radio and turns it up.

18. In this crazy world there is no right way. There is always a right and a wrong. But this time I know I m right. That house is not haunted. It can t be haunted, I know people who have entered that house and still live to tell the tail. Maybe they lied to you so that they would look cool. No. These people don t lie. Well I don t know. Plus he ran his mouth about me behind my back. Are you going to let that get to you? Stan what if I ran my mouth to you all the time? (mocking Tom) Hey Tom, you do. Yeah well it s different, I don t let you run your mouth to me do I? Anyway after I get done with him he will run out of the house scared shitless. I never ever run my mouth about you.

19. Tom and Stan start laughing and continue to drink. You know what? What? I wonder why Jeff does this? You know, a few years ago he was an average person. He never messed with us and we always saved him from those bullies, Jimmy and his crew. Yeah, maybe Jimmy and the guys put him up to it. After all we did for him, why would he go and hang out with them? Maybe they get a kick out of this. That could very well be. You let a lot of stuff get to you. No I don t. Listen to your self for once. Shut up. I know what my mind is telling me. What is it telling you now? Let s take a trip to the clubhouse.

20. Now! Duh! INT THE CLUBHOUSE Tom and Stan pull up to a building. They get out and walk up to the door. Now Stan, go ahead and knock on the door, I ll hide over here. Why are you hiding? If they see that it s me, they won t answer the door. Good thinking. So go ahead and knock on the door. Tom walks around the corner. Ok! Stan knocks on the door. A man opens the door. MAN AT THE DOOR. What do you want man? I m here to see Jimmy. MAN AT THE DOOR I ll tell you what. If you can guess the password then I ll let you in. Swordfish?

21. MAN AT THE DOOR Whoa. You are more stupid than you look. Dude. Just go away. The man closes the door in Stan s face. Hey Tom. It did not work. I guess we can go home right? No. It means we find another way in. What did you have in mind? My mind is blank. What about you? Well knocking on the door didn t work. So maybe we should just leave and come back tomorrow. No. I got an idea. What s that? Watch. Tom walks in front of the door and kicks it open. INT CLUBHOUSE NIGHT There are three people standing around a lobby. The doorman walks over to Tom. Tom looks up at him. DOORMAN Hey. You can t just walk in here like that.

22. Hey. Do you think your ready to get your fucking arm broke? The doorman steps back ready to fight. Tom pulls out a gun. DOORMAN Bring it. DOORMAN I m sorry. Where s Jimmy? They all point to a room in the back. Tom walks back to the room. Jimmy come on out you little shit. So I can pound your ass. Tom walks into a room. He puts his gun away. INT POKER ROOM Tom walks in to a room with a poker table covered in poker chips and a green velvet lining. There are pictures hanging on the wall. There is a light hanging down over the center of the table. On the floor there is a shaggy carpet. We see five people sitting at the table. One of the people is wearing a black suit. Sharply dressed. He stands up. Tom! It s good to see you man. Have a seat. Listen Jimmy! I ve had enough of you trying to get me to beat up on Jeff. This is bullshit dude. Jimmy puts his cards face down on to the table, and looks at Tom.

23. Tom is getting angry. Jimmy sits back down. Yeah well I think you should wipe the floor with the little snot. After all, You do want him to stop don t you? Look. We both know how you like to meddle into other people s business. Yeah okay. I really meddle into others business. Then why the hell do you try and get Jeff to run his mouth about me? Look. Tom, in case you haven t noticed. I run this place. I m like a godfather around here. Well say your prayers to your God cause your going to miss your father. What do you want? Tom rolls up his sleeves. Tell me everything that has been going on. I will know if you re telling me the truth. Sit down and lets talk like two adults. Talk is cheap. Let s settle this once and for all.

24. Look. I told Jeff that he should stand his ground with you, and he said he would. Is it my fault that he called you a no good for nothing piece of shit? Tom is really getting angry. Jimmy. I don t understand what you are doing. You started to do good by telling me everything. Then you had to throw a stupid line in. Ha. What are you going to do about it? Boys! Two guys stand in front of the poker room door. Tom pulls out his gun and the two guys back down. Jimmy come here. Right fucking now get over here. Don t make me come over there. What are you going to do, shoot me? That would be to easy! Well I think you should leave. I m in the middle of a card game. Besides you seem a little drunk. I m not drunk enough. If you don t leave, I can t guarantee your saftey. Just try it. You need to go.

25. Tom looks at everyone sitting at the table. Excuse me folk s will you all take a break from your wonderful game and leave the room for a few minutes? Everyone playing poker grabs their poker chips up and leaves the room. Hey. You all don t have to leave. Tom puts his gun away and walks over to Jimmy. He grabs him up by his shirt. Tom starts pounding on him. Then throws him to the floor. Next time Jimmy, I ll kill you. I think you should leave Jeff alone. Can t you find any new friends? Hey. Tom looks at Jimmy CONT Fuck You. Tom walks over to Jimmy and kicks him in the face. EXT CLUBHOUSE Don t run your mouth to me man I m not your mother and I m not in the mood. Tom walks out of the room and walks into the room where everyone else is standing. It should be okay for you to go back to your game now.

26. Everyone walks to the poker room as Tom walks out of the building. EXT CLUBHOUSE - NIGHT Stan is leaning on the car waiting for Tom Where the hell did you go? I came out here to get some air. Why? I thought I told you to stay with me. It looked like you had everything under control! Don t start dude. I m already ticking. Jimmy got a taste of his own medicine. What did you do? I just beat the shit out of him, and then I kicked him in his face. Wow! Tom gets into his car. Are you about ready to go? I just don t think you should have done that. Why not?

27. Stan gets into Tom s car. He is a crazy person man. Not as crazy as me! Tom starts his car and drives away peeling out. INT S ROOM Jeff is laying on his bed thinking. (scared) Man what did I get myself into? Tom is not a bad guy, well unless you get on his bad side. Ah man. I am on his bad side. Jeff gets up off his bed and looks out the window. CONT (acting tough) Tomorrow night, I ll show him who is the chicken shit son of a bitch. I can do this. Jeff closes his window and flops back down on his bed and closes his eyes. Jeff sits on his bed. (CONT) Maybe I should just quit while I m a head. If Tom only knew what was in that place and who we are. Jeff lies on his bed and closes his eyes.

28. EXT - HAUNTED HOUSE Darren is sitting on the steps. I can t wait for morning! He starts rocking himself back and fourth. NEXT DAY S HOUSE Tom wakes up. Ah man. Is it morning all ready? Tom walks over to Stan who is sleeping on the couch. (SMACK) Tom smacks Stan on the back. Stan jumps up in a rush. (angry) What the hell did you do that for? (playing) Wake up man. Today is the day. Dude. What time is it? It s eight o clock Why did you wake me up? Let s enjoy the day, now get up.

29. Man. I am still tired. Just get up and make some coffee. Tom has a weird look in his eye. Tom laughs out loud. (sinisterly) Tonight I will get my revenge. You re scaring me. Not as bad as I m going to scare Jeff. Maybe I should just commit you. Ha ha. Just get up. I am! Stan gets up and stretches. He walks into the kitchen. Hey Tom. How many hours did you sleep? I think just about three hours why? You don t act like your tired. Dude I can go for days without sleeping. Then I pass out for just a couple of hours. What causes you to not sleep? Do you get nightmares?

30. My nightmares are not what you think. I can see my dad and stuff. What do you think it means? It means nothing. Stan walks back into the living room with two cups off coffee. Stan hands a cup to Tom. Dreams always mean something. Well mine mean nothing. Hey it s your life, not mine. What is that supposed to mean? Well if I had seen my father in a dream, then I would want to know what the deal was. So you think that it has something to do with my dad trying to tell me something? Could be. Just think about what he shows you in your dreams, and then think how it could be a sign. A sign of what. I don t know. Okay. This conversation is over.

31. Tom sips on his coffee. (joking) That will be five hundred dollars. Ha ha ha. Very funny. I m going to work on my car for a while. What are you going to do to it now? I have to fix my carburetor. Again? Well it has to run nicely. I guess. You can help me. How am I supposed to help you? You can be my gofer. What! You go for this and you go for that. No thanks! Yeah. You stay here rent-free dude. You can help me out.

32. Fine! INT - S ROOM Jeff s alarm goes off and Jeff wakes up and shuts it off. It s morning all ready? Jeff gets out of bed and stretches. Jeff starts to yawn. I must have set my alarm for nine o clock. I have got to start sleeping better. He walks out to the kitchen and grabs a cup of coffee. It s going to be a long day today. He goes back into the bedroom and opens his closet, and grabs out a duffel bag. Well I better get everything ready for tonight. I got a lot of shit to pack up. INT - S HOUSE - GARAGE Tom and Stan are in the garage, messing with Tom s car. Stan, hand me a half inch wrench. Stan grabs the wrench and hands it to Tom.

33. Tom stops and stands up. Are you really going to go through with this? (angry) Why is it that you keep asking me? I m almost ready to pound you. So stop with the questions and let it go. Tom hands it back to Stan. CONT I said a half-inch wrench not a nine sixteenths. Sorry. Stan gets another wrench and hands it to Tom. That s a little bit better. I told you I m not a wake yet. Tom goes back to working on his car. Then wake up. I said I was sorry. You re going to be sorry if you keep it up. Hey Tom I have an idea. Tom stops working on his car and looks at Stan. All right let s hear it.

34. What if we called the news people to cover the story? You know what? That sounds like a great idea. Hey. I got an idea too. Since you thought of it, how about you go call them. All right I will. Stan runs inside and calls them up, and comes back out. They said they want to interview all of us around three or so at the old house. Well my car is done so let s go see little Jeff. Is he even a wake yet? I don t know and I don t care. You re going to give Jeff a heart attack. Oh well. Maybe he ll think I showed up to call the bet off. No. I think he s going to think that you are there to beat him up or something. Or something is more like it. They get into the car and drive over to Jeff s house.

35. S HOUSE They pull into the driveway and Stan gets out and knocks on the door. Jeff answers the door. Hello, Jeff I need to talk to you. Jeff looks over at the car and then back at Stan. What do you want? The T.V. people want to interview us. Why? This is a special thing man. All of us entering into the house of curse. It s awesome. No it s not awesome, it s stupid that place is haunted dude. People have died in that place. So you don t want to be interviewed? I did not say that. Tom starts beeping the car horn. So are you going to be there? Where? At the old house. Tom said to be there. What time?

36. Around three or so. Sounds good to me. Tell Tom that I ll be there. Will do. Cheerio mate. Jeff closes his door and Stan walks over to the car and gets back in. Tom drives to the old house. EXT OLD HOUSE Tom and Stan pull up to the house. They sit in the car for a little while. Hey Tom. Yeah. Your not going to hurt little Jeff are you? No. I m just going to put a scare into him. Ok. Why? Because, it s not his fault that he was influenced by Jimmy!

37. It s not my fault that he keeps running his mouth is it? No. Tom just looks at Stan. So am I responsible for everything that he does? What about you? Am I responsible for you or your actions? No I am responsible for my self. CONT Yeah, I understand what you are saying, but does that have anything to do with the house? Why would it? Well you did say something about scarring him right? Yeah. But it has nothing to do with the house. Explain. Ok. From the beginning I have to cut him down to size other wise he will think he is all big and bad. Look. I m not a kid or anything you know. I know that. But I have to put a scare into him. I all ready took care of Jimmy.

38. Now you have to watch your back. Why would I have to watch my back? Dude. Jimmy is no one to mess with. He will find your weakness and then he will win. Stan whose side are you on? What do you mean? You are acting like you have known Jimmy forever. No. I have known others like him and they have done the same thing. From here on out, I got my eye on you. Something is not right. What s not right? If you were me and some one came up to you and said what you just said, would you think nothing of it. Yeah I guess you are right. What do you mean you guess? Hey Tom. Did you hear what Jeff was saying about this old house? No. What?

39. He said that it is haunted. And you believe him? Yeah. He s not the only one that has said something about that house. Tom pulls out a cigarette. CONT What were you looking at when we were at the house? I thought I saw something, but it was nothing. Oh. How haunted could it be? It s been sitting there for how long? Yeah I know. Then drop it all ready. Sorry. They get out of the car. This is where I m going to be for a whole night. Jeff comes walking down the road and a news van pulls up. VAN DRIVER Are you the guys spending the night here?

40. Yeah. VAN DRIVER Great! We will be ready in a few minutes. Sounds good to me. Has any one seen Darren? I have been waiting for you dip shits to show up! Hey Tom. I heard about Jimmy, did you do that? Don t worry about it. Listen when we are on the camera, don t be shy. I won t. Don t worry. The news cameras were all set and a man in black suit steps out from behind the van. MAN Ok. I want a shot at the house and then at Tom and then at Jeff, then back to me. This shouldn t take too long I hope. MAN Hello everyone I m Mark Swan. Reporting for action news eleven. I m here in front of the towns haunted house with Tom Robinson, Darren Stevens, Stan Pars, and Jeff Matthews. Tonight they will enter the house and spend the night. Here is the leader of the group Tom.

41. Hello, I m Tom. We are all here to prove that this house is not haunted. MAN What happened inside of this house Tom? Jeff jumps in front of the camera. A priest died inside of the house and the police never found his body. The ghost was called El- Diablo. Which means Devil. It is said that the ghost still to this day, haunts the house. Who ever enters the house will not come out alive. MAN Wow what a tale of horror and don t miss it folks. We will be here all night until morning to see who survives the old haunted house of El-Diablo. Reporting for action news eleven, I m Mark Swan. Listen, we will all meet back here later. It is three thirty and we will all come back seven. Yeah I have to finish packing anyway. I have to go get some beer. I ll wait here! I m with you Tom. They all left agreeing to meet back around seven or so. Jeff heads back to his house.

42. S HOUSE Jeff is busy packing some candles and a flashlight with a sleeping bag and stuff. Then there is a knock on the door. KNOCK Who is it? It s me man. I ll be out in a minute. Hurry up. Ok, almost done. Jeff walks over to his dresser and pulls out a paper and sets it in to his bag. OLD HOUSE CONT Tonight I can tell Tom the truth about him being my brother. The sun started to set. Tom and Stan arrive at the old house. Tom grabs a small duffel bag and brings it with him. Before long the press was there. They pull up in front of the house. (sarcastically) It looks like Jeff is not going to show up. (confident) He ll show up.

43. Well here they come. Tom stands up while Jeff and Darren come walking down the street. They each carried a duffel bag in their hands. They walk up to Tom and Stan. (happy) So you made it. (acting tough) I wouldn t miss this for the world. Let s do this. Now remember. If any of us comes out of the house before the sun shines then that person loses. Shut up and let s just do this. Yeah let s just do this all ready. (sarcastically) Wow. It looks like some one grew a set of balls over night. Tom opens the door and steps inside. INT HOUSE - MORNING (doubtfully) Well, Let s see what happens in the morning. They walk in and see that some of the windows are broken. This place is whacked.

44. So, do you think that ghosts are real? Why because a few windows are broke? I ve never seen one before so, I ll have to say no. You can t see air but it s there right? Yeah. I have this thing about the super natural. I don t believe. Well if we are going to stay here for a while then I m going to find a room and relax. I think I ll look around for a few first. Yeah me too. I want to check out the basement. Jeff walks off to go find a room. Tom walks into a kitchen. INT HOUSE KITCHEN MORNING Tom starts looking around in the cupboards. This place is a wreck. Whoa. What is that? Tom grabs an old coffee can from the back of the cupboard. (CONT) I wonder what s inside.

45. Tom opens up the old coffee can and inside of it was a bunch of old papers. He reads them aloud. (CONT) Woman found murdered inside of house. Police say that she had been stabbed. No murder weapon had been found. Tom looks through the rest of the papers. (CONT) They are all about this place. I wonder if Jeff knows about it? INT HOUSE - UPSTAIRS BEDROOM MORNING Jeff is sitting on a bed in a bedroom upstairs. He is very jumpy. Ok. Get a hold of your self and things will be all right. There was a knock on the door and Jeff jumped. (CONT) Who s there? Tom opens the door and walks in holding a bunch of the papers from downstairs. Jeff, you have to take a look at these. Tom hands them to Jeff. Jeff reads them over. These things were all done here? I think so. I think that who ever did this is here in the house. Stop. I am creeped out already from this house.

46. I saw the curtain move when we were outside. I don t care. I still think it s a ghost. Look. Tom shoves the papers in Jeff s face. (CONT) Does this look like a ghost? Some one killed this woman and got away with murder. I think we should get out of here. Jeff gets up off of the bed and looks at Tom. Ok. Maybe we should look down in the basement and see if someone lives here. Sound good to you? Are you crazy? The basement is where all weird stuff happens! But if we can find the people responsible for all of these murders then we can turn them into the cops and collect a reward! Whatever! Tom looks at his watch and looks at Jeff. Ok. We meet at the front door in ten minutes. If I m not there just leave without me. Well, if I m not there come and find me. Ok?

47. Ok. I ll come looking for you if you are not there. Tom heads out of the bedroom and heads down stairs. INT HOUSE - DOWN STAIRS LIVINGROOM Tom walks into the living room and checks behind all of the furniture. He walks back into the kitchen and opens a drawer. INT - HOUSE - KITCHEN There has to be a knife somewhere in here. Tom looks and looks. He opens the bottom drawer and finds a huge butcher s knife. He grabs the knife and heads for the front door, when he hears the basement door shut. He heads into the living room to check it out. INT HOUSE UPSTAIRS Jeff is sitting down on the bed putting his stuff back into his bag. He does not see a robed person standing behind him. INT - HOUSE LIVING ROOM Tom walks into the living room and sees a dead bird lying on the floor. Awe that shit smells. But it would make one hell of a gag. What the

48. hell! One quick gag before we leave. Tom picks it up and carries it to where Jeff was sitting upstairs INT UPSTAIRS BEDROOM Tom opens the bedroom door where Jeff was. CONT Jeff. Ok Jeff your not going to scare me. Come out where ever you are. Tom looks behind the curtain and no one is there. He checks every where, but still Jeff is no where to be found. CONT Ok Jeff come on out. You got me. Tom waits but still no sign of Jeff. Tom decides to sit down. He sees Jeff s bag and opens it up. What the hell is this? Tom picks up a piece of paper. Tom reads it. Tom stops reading. CONT Dude this is a birth certificate. CONT Jeff Mathews, born January 21rst Mother: Connie Mathews, Father. CONT That would mean that Jeff is my brother.

49. Tom puts the paper back into Jeff s bag and zips it closed. CONT I wonder if Jeff is just playing around with me? Maybe if I just sit here and wait he ll show up. Tom pulls out a cigarette and lights it. He sits down onto the bed. CONT Jeff. I m sitting here smoking a cigarette. If you come on out I ll forget everything and you ll win. Tom sits there and waits, but there is no sign of Jeff. Tom puts out his cigarette and gets up. CONT Jeff. Where are you? We need to talk. Tom Goes back down stairs. INT - HOUSE DOWN STAIRS Tom walks back into the living room and looks around. Jeff! Tom goes into the kitchen and sees the basement door. Tom pulls out his knife and grabs a hold of the doorknob. He opens the basement door and goes down. INT - BASEMENT CONT Hello. Anybody here? Jeff. Tom walks down the stairs and looks around. It s dark so Tom pulls out a lighter and looks around some more.

50. This place gives me the willies. I wonder what is down here anyway. Tom walks around trying to see but it is hard because it is dark. CONT Well nothing down here. I better get back up stairs. Tom goes up the steps and thinks he hears something in the basement. He turns around and heads back down. INT HOUSE BASEMENT Tom holds onto the knife with all of his might. Jeff! (CONT) Tom slowly walks down the stairs. One step at a time. Jeff! Are you down here? Tom pulls out a lighter and lights it up. He looks for a light switch and turns on the light. (CONT) Whoa. This place is huge and creepy. It reminds me of that one movie, Nightmare on Elm Street. Tom walks around looking for Jeff. Tom is that you? Tom walks around looking for Jeff. Where are you? Over here man I m tied up to this chair.

51. Tom walks over and unties Jeff. How did you get tied up? You were right. There is someone here. I got brought down here and seen this man in a black robe, he was doing something over there. He seen me and I went to run but he caught me and hit me over the head with something. Tom still holding the knife in his hands looks at Jeff. You didn t yell to me. Where are Darren and Stan? I don t know. I think you should go and find them and get the hell out of here. Yeah sounds good to me. Well why don t you get the hell out of here. Jeff starts walking away. Mumbling to him self. Hey. Jeff turns around. What. Did you just say something? Yeah. I was just saying that I want to get out of here.

52. Then hurry up and get out of here. Jeff turns around and heads up the basement stairs. Tom continues to look around. Well. It doesn t look like any one lives here. Maybe some one hangs out here. Tom walks up to what looks like a door. He pushes on it and it opens. Oh man. That is a nasty smell. Tom reaches around to turn on the light. I wonder what is in there? Tom goes to take a look, He sees the dead priest up against the wall. The priest! Something hits him on the head. Tom falls to the ground. When tom comes to He sees two blurry objects. Where am I? Tom reaches in his pocket and pulls out his lighter and lights it. Oh my God. Tom was in a room with a table and a hanging light that had bloodstains on it. There were concrete walls surrounding him. CONT (freaking out) Ok Tom get a grip and breathe

53. GHOST Tom. You must wake up, and get out of this house. Wake up. Tom looks and thinks he sees Jeff. Jeff. Is that you man? GHOST Yes. You must get out or you will die here just like me. You don t look dead man. You look like some one has put a lot of powder on your face. Jeff disappeared. Tom grabs the back of his head. CONT (convincing himself) It was a dream. All just a dream. I did get hit in the head pretty hard. Tom closes his eyes. When he hears someone call his name he jumps. CONT (scared) Who s there? Jeff is that you? It sounded like you. Jeff? Where did you go? I m losing it Tom seems to be in the living room up stairs. INT - HOUSE LIVING ROOM Oh don t be a fucking crybaby. I put up with your shit long enough. Tom sits down and so does Stan.

54. CONT You see I come from a place worse then your nightmares. I am called here and now I m stuck here. I don t want to go back. What kind of God are you? Well that dumbass priest thought I was a wishing God, Like a genie or something. I m a God of torture and death. Once I m called, I must kill every one and everything in my way. Am I going to die? Of course you are. But not yet. Just do it now and get it over with. No. Listen, hears the deal. I will give you untill midnight to find the one page you need to end the curse. When I return and you have not found it and read it, then I will kill you, but it will have to be a slow death ok? So I have four hours to do all this in? Well I would give you more time but Sun up is in seven hours. TA TA. Stan disappears and Tom is now faced with a huge problem. Four hours seems like a lot of time but where can that page be?

55. Tom continues his search for the page. He looked every where and still not the right page. He sits down and remembered the pages he found before. Tom keeps looking. CONT In these pages has got to be the right spell. CONT I will find the right spell Tom remembers that in his back pocket there was a spell. CONT This may be an invisibility spell but what about of the backside of it? Tom turns it over and notices that it is the wrong spell. I have got to find it. Tom goes through the pages one more time. It has to be here. Where the hell is it? He reads through each and every one of the pages, but none of them were the right page. Tom looks at the clock and sees that he has half an hour left. He sits down on to the couch and lights up a smoke. He leans back and closes his eyes. When he opens his eyes he sees a page sitting on a rafter near the ceiling. CONT Of course. It was sitting right in front of me the whole time. Tom looks for something to knock down the page.

56. CONT There has to be something around here to knock it down with. Tom Looks around and sees a broom handle. CONT Now if I can just reach it. Tom grabs the broom handle and climbs onto the couch and knocks the page down. CONT I got it. Yes. CONT This has to be it. It says to undo a curse, this has to be the right one. Tom sits down to read it over. CONT Ok so all I have to do is say this aloud three times and it should work. It seems too simple. Tom decides he will do the spell after one more smoke and one more beer. He lights up his last smoke. After he finishes he stands up, and grabs the paper. Tom jumps. CONT Well I have to do this. Hello, Tom. Who is there? Just turn around and you will see. No. By your voice, It sounds like you Stan.

57. Very good. What do you want? Don t you get it? Get what? I want the paper. Why would I give you the paper? If you want to live you will give it to me now. You may be behind me but I will stop this once and for all. Silly mortal. You think a spell will send me back? Yes. It should do the trick. Think again. I will send you back to the pits of hell. Where you belong. I would love to see you try. Just give me a second. Tom is looking for the beginning of the spell. CONT One question.

58. Fire away. Why did you kill my brother? I m afraid you are going to have to be a little more specific. Jeff. Why did you kill Jeff? He asked me to. You see when some one gets all lonely inside and feels like their world is gone, then they want to die. Well I know damn well, that he did not want to die. How do you know that? He wanted to tell you how his life sucked but he was to scared to. He could have told me anything. Ah yes. But would you have listened? I guess not. He did try to tell me something after we got here but I told him to stop. So you see, I can bring him back if you give me the paper. How can you bring him back? I can do what ever I want to do.

59. So if I give you the paper with the spell, then you will give me my father and my brother back? I said I would give you back your brother. I did not say I would give back your father. You said anything. Just give me the paper. Stan disappears and returns in a hooded black robe. You can not see his hands, or his face. I am going to turn around and then we will talk face to face. Tom turns around and sees a hooded black robe. I m getting tired. Are you going to say your precious little spell? Tom starts to read the spell out loud. The covering curse will wallow and cease, it is time to set this curse to piece. Darren grabs his head and shouts. No No No. The covering curse will wallow and cease, it is time to set this curse to peace. Darren is shaking very badly. Tom Just stop now.

60. The covering curse will wallow and cease, it is time to set this curse to peace. Darren disappears. The front door opens and Tom steps toward the door. Can it be over? Tom sits down and takes a deep breath. CONT It s really over. I can now leave the house. INT UPSTAIRS Stan and Darren are up stairs sitting in the living room. So do you believe in ghosts? No. Do you? No. I wonder where Tom and Jeff are. I don t know, maybe they went down into the basement. Jeff comes running into the living room. Guys we got to get out of here. Why?

61. Did you see a little ghost? Something hit me in the head and knocked me out then it tied me to a chair. Well. I don t know. How about you Stan? I don t know either. Forget you guys. Jeff turns around. Stan and Darren get up off of the couch. No one will ever forget us. Darren stabs Jeff in his side. Grab him and throw him in the closet. Stan grabs Jeff and pulls him into the closet. INT BASEMENT - What about Tom? Tom hears another voice. We should go and check on him. CONT There has to be a way out of here. But where and how. I can t move. Who s there.

62. S DAD It s your father boy. In the flesh or so to speak. What are you doing here? S DAD Well I m just something you are seeing right now because your head is a little twisted. Dad. I thought that you were dead? S DAD No. Why would I be dead? I thought that you died in a car crash. S DAD A car crash? That s why you think I m dead? Well yeah. I thought you were buried and everything. Tom sits there next to his dad looking like he had seen a ghost. S DAD Well I m not dead so please just drop it. Want a smoke? S DAD No thank you son. Tom pulls out a cigarette. So why are you hear?

63. S DAD The place I was staying is now full. So I was told to go and stay with my family. This is just weird. Yeah. S DAD Yeah. Dad did you have another son? Because I found a paper in jeff s bag and it said that you were his father. S DAD How do you really know if that paper is even real? I don t. Tom is trying not to cry. S DAD Then just leave it all alone. Dad. Tom turns his head. S DAD Yeah son. What did you used to call me when I was young? S DAD I used to call you sport. Bullshit. My father was only around for four years and he never called me anything. Tom s Dad stood up, and disappeared.

64. Tom grabs his head again. This shit is whacked. What next? Something is not right. I m seeing things. I am just going to sit here for a little while. Tom finally gets up and finds that the door is unlocked. He hears another voice. He heads up stairs into the living room. CONT Who s there? Well I could be the boogieman. Jimmy what the hell are you doing here? Boys. Two big guys walk up behind Tom and grab him by the arms. Jimmy you have got to leave the house it is haunted. Yeah ok. Next you ll tell me that Jeff is all ready dead. What if I did? I wouldn t believe you. Now you came into my clubhouse and wrecked my party, so I m going to wreck your little party. Jimmy walks up to Tom and starts punching him in the stomach.

65. S GHOST Bravo. It takes three to beat one. What a hero. Who said that? Jeff shows himself and Jimmy laughs. You expected me to believe that you re a ghost? S GHOST I don t really care. The real question is do you believe in ghosts? Jeff s ghost disappeared. Jimmy was freaking out. Where did he go? I told you he is dead. Boys let this asshole go and search the house for Jeff, and bring him to me. The two guys let go of Tom and walked up stairs to search for Jeff. Jimmy as soon as I get up you will pay for what you have done. Whatever just stay put or I ll shoot you dead. Jimmy pulls out a gun and points it at Tom. Whoa. Come on Jimmy. Take it easy. Shut up. I thought you were different Tom. I was going to make

66. you an offer, but you messed it up for your self. Hey. Take your job and stick it up your ass. Hey. You guys get down here now. There was no answer. After twenty minutes Jimmy got worried. Hey Tom do you know the up stairs very well? Not really. Why? Get up your going up with me. Get up. Come on. Tom gets up from the floor and jimmy pushes the gun into his back. My guys are highly trained to kill. Yeah, well in this house not even a priest can survive. Shut up smart-ass. I m just saying that you have to be careful, you know the legend right? No. I don t know the legend. It s all a legend right? That means that it s not real.

67. That s what I thought, but I was wrong, this place is really haunted. Just shut up about some stupid curse. I know it sounds weird, but you have to get out of here before th ghost comes back. I just saw a ghost and when I came in it disappeared, unless of course it was just a joke by you. It was no joke by me and Jeff is dead. Your serious about this place being haunted. Yeah. Huh. That s whacked. Tell me about it. Well. I think we need to stick together. Why is that? Well if there is something in this house, then I can use you as a shield. Your sick.

68. Whatever, just look for the two guys that were here a little while ago. They are probably dead by now. Jimmy pushes the gun into Tom s back again. CONT I m not joking Jimmy. Put a sock in it Tom. Hey guys. Where are you? Jimmy I think we should go and check out the basement. No. I think I ll go check out the basement. Tom and Jimmy walk down to the first floor and Jimmy pushes Tom down onto the couch. INT LIVING ROOM Don t move or when I get back I ll shoot your ugly face. Jimmy walks over to the basement door and opens it. He walks down it slowly. INT - BASEMENT Jimmy is looking around, he hears a noise and fires his gun. There you are. And Tom said you were dead.

69. S GHOST No one can hurt me any more. Are you crazy or something? A dark figure walks closer to Jimmy. Jimmy starts firing his gun at the figure but the figure just keeps walking toward him. His gun becomes empty, making a clicking sound. CONT Help, Help, Help. INT LIVING ROOM Tom is sitting on the couch waiting, he hears gun shots go off, and now knows that Jimmy is dead. I tried to tell him, but no one listens to me. He gets up trying to figure out where every one is. CONT They have to be hear some where. Hey Tom. Where have you been? Did you hear those gun shots? Stan you have to get out of here the house is really haunted. Tom. Your acting weird, what kind of drugs have you been doing.

70. Tom pauses for a moment. Stan I m not kidding with you. So have you found the others yet? No. Stan smiles at Tom. Hows your head feeling?. How do you know about that? Oh. I over heard you talking about it when I was on my way in. Some thing is not right here. Some thing is all ways wrong. What do you want me to say? You knew about my head. Fine. You got me. I m the one that hit you on your head. But. Why? It was just a gag. I wanted to lock you in a room so I could scare every one. Why?

71. I had to keep everyone away or it would not be a scary surprise. What else did you do to me? Nothing. Why do I feel like I ve been drugged? Oh don t be a fucking crybaby. I put up with your shit long enough. Tom wakes up and notices that he is still in the room in the basement. Oh my God. It was just a dream. None of that stuff really happened. Tom tried to move around and stand up. This shit hurts. I must really be losing it to dream like that. Tom sees the door start to open. He goes to grab his knife but notices that it is not there. Shit. The door opens and in comes two people talking. Do you think he is still out? I don't know. I hope so.

72. Tom looks around and the light comes on. Tom sees Stan and Darren. Stan. What is going on? I kinda figured you would find those papers and when you said that you didn't believe in ghosts well I had to get back at you. What are you? A sick freak? I thought you were dead. No. But why would I be dead? We couldn t find you or Darren. Wow. My plan worked better than I thought it would. You re sick and twisted. My friend and me have had a lot of fun in this old house. So it was you and Darren who killed the girl? Yes. Now I get to kill you. Tom stood up and got ready to fight. (CONT) Why even try? At least I can say I tried. Stan goes over to tom and swings a bat at his legs. Tom falls to the ground. Stan goes to swing it again, and Tom grabs the bat.

73. Just give it back to me. Ok! Here it is. Tom swings it and it hits Stan's head. Stan falls to the ground. No. Stan! Tom grabs the bat with all of his might. He swings it at Darren and hits him in the head. Die. I will not give up. Before Tom was done. Both of them were lying on the ground. I'm getting the hell out of here. Tom turns around to catch his breath. He drops the bat. Stan lifts up his head and looks at Tom. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a knife. Not today. Stan gets up off of the floor and stabbed Tom in the back. Son of a Tom falls to the floor and Stan goes over to Darren who is dead. BLACK I have gotten my revenge. Ha Ha Ha. FADE TO:
