1 the look is in the look The look book is an amazing business tool that Mary Kay puts tons of effort, money, talent and thought into. It is for us! Wow! Thank you Mary Kay! It is a powerful tool in the hands of a consultant working with intention!! Here is a plan that uses the most vital tools in Mary Kay to create an amazing customer base and solid selling business. From that solid business comes EVERYTHING that Mary Kay herself desired for us... Blessings of many kind...enriching womenʼs lives, fun, income, team members, a great financial future, and any dreams you can dream!! So with YOU, the look, and our amazing Preferred Customer Program, you can have all that you desire from your Mary Kay business. Have fun look -ing for women whoʼs lives you can enrich!! And YOUR life will be enriched even more! As our beloved Mary Kay always said, What you send into the lives of others comes back to you ten fold. Staple your business card and info card to the look book. If you want to put a postcard size invitation to your meeting/open house/makeover contest, etc. you can put that under the business card when you staple it. When you are out and about, hand these out using the following script or a script that you would like to personalize. Decide how many look books you are going to hand out each week and make sure they are ready to go on Monday morning. Have extra ones ready also, because once you get on a roll you will be unstoppable!! When you hand out and get names: " " 2 per week you will have 100 customers in 1 year. 4 per week you will have 100 customers in 6 months. " " 8 per week you will have 100 customers in 3 months. Earn a beautiful Crystal 100 Pin when you reach your first 100 customers. Then earn a charm to hang off the pin for each additional 100. They will be registered and ready for you to participate in the Preferred Customer Program where they will receive their mini magazine-the look! (I would also recommend the second mailer!) Here is an idea of the potential of this plan: 100 customers x $40 = $4,000 per quarter x 4 quarters = $16,000 retail sales -yr / $8,000 profit -yr (A sample of a $40 sale is a mascara, eye makeup remover and eye liner!) So simple! First of all, please remember that these are just suggestions of how a conversation might go. The biggest thing is to listen to the woman and what she is saying. Then, think about how your services could help her depending on what she shared. Remember, you are helping her with her concerns, situation or needed pampering. As a result, she will help you but she is the first concern. People donʼt care what you know until they know that you care. Practice talking with people and you will become more and more comfortable. Look at life as one big meet and greet!! Make it fun.

2 the look is in the look Here are a few possible conversation starters: * (to clerk or waitress) You have been so nice to me and I appreciate your great customer service. *(to a new face) Excuse me, I couldnʼt help but notice how sharp/cute/enthusiastic/great a Mom/ happy/ caring/ (whatever you notice)... you are!! I have something I think you would enjoy. Would you mind if I shared my mini magazine from Mary Kay with you? I am a beauty consultant with Mary Kay and we have this great mini magazine called the look that comes out 4 times a year. Youʼre going to love it! (Then start going through and QUICKLY highlighting things she should look at.)(this means that you need to be very knowledgable about what is in the look.) There are the very latest beauty products like the amazing new Lash Love Mascara, skin care products and info, the great colors for the season, application tips, what your skin needs for whatever age you are. Oh my goodness, there is so much in here! (I also have a sample in it.) When you get a quick minute today or tomorrow take a look at my website. Click on the Contact Me and send me an . Put mini magazine or the look in the message and I will send you a free product gift certificate and enter you into my weekly drawing. Add your mailing information on the info card for your subscription. Oh and I do complimentary makeovers, too. So if you see something that you like we can get together and try it out. FOR FREE! I would love to pamper you. (give an idea of what she may like) I actually think the would look great on you. It was so nice to meet you today. I am excited to send you your gift. (get card) If time allows, get the appointment right then and there. But most times it wonʼt be. Thatʼs why you have to be prepared and talk quickly. This script will take practice to get it flowing so that you are not stumbling over your words. Alter the script for the circumstance and time allowed. So letʼs review: compliment ask permission romance the look book invite to website -free gift/drawing get card to mail gift thanks and/or book appt. Track your progress on the 100 is in the look tracking sheet! Start smiling because you are going to have the greatest business ever!!

3 100 is in The Look NAME IT! Claim it! THINK IT! Ink It! TO DO: 1. Talk to family and get them enrolled. What s in it for them? 2. Get your calendar set up. When are you open for business? 3. Print tracking sheet. 4. Make decision on type of incentive you are offering. ($75 for $35 etc.) 5. List who to call, start with customers and other women you know. 6. Practice scripts and what to say overcoming objections. 7. Have supplies ready at all times including your digital camera. DURING PARTY: 1. As guests arrive, ask them to quickly take off mascara with Eye Makeup Remover. (this will save time when doing a complete makeover) 2. After cleansing face, take their before picture against a white wall. 3. After foundation, take a picture with their hair pulled back and no earrings or necklaces on so they can use their picture to log onto your website and do a virtual makeover. 4. After complete makeover, have them fluff hair and put on their jewelry and take an after picture. All pictures can be ed to them. 5. Thank guests for helping you out on your 100 new customers. Advise them that when you have completed your 100 faces, you will be doing a drawing for a Mary Kay gift basket. What could happen if you set your goal to do 100 faces in 90 days: (That is only 33 faces a month or 8 a week) 1) Making Money: If your face average is: $50/face = $5,000 $75/face = $7,500 $100/face = $10,000 2) Reorders in four months 3) Lots of referrals and more customers 4) New team members, commissions, bonuses and OT for car or DIQ 5) On Target National Court of Sales and Sharing for this new year 6) Confidence 7) Organizational Skills
