Sharon Depression & Guilt 0:00:07 Jon: My Intention is that our meeting be of real value to you and that you re happy with it. If we could reach inside and turn dials and make adjustments that would adjust and improve the way you automatically feel, or think, or react to things, what should we then get done? 0:00:36 Sharon: I would like to dial down my anxiety. 0:00:40 Jon: That would be just what there is for us to be doing then. May I ask just a couple of questions to understand that better? 0:00:49 Sharon: Of course. 0:00:50 Jon: Some people, when they mention anxiety, are referring primarily to thoughts, some people are referring more to sensations, and some people both. Help me understand what you mean. 0:01:05 Sharon: Mine is just sensation. My thoughts are fine. I m not experiencing anything as far as thoughts. It s sensation in my stomach and it s constant. 0:01:15 Jon: So, are those sensations there at this moment? 0:01:18 Sharon: Yes. 0:01:18 Jon: And have you found that they go up and down? 0:01:24 Sharon: Yes. 0:01:25 Jon: And when do they seem to go up or down? 0:01:32 Sharon: It doesn t seem to be a specific pattern, necessarily. It s kind of just random. 0:01:39 Jon: How did it come to you to think of the sensations that have been there in your stomach as anxiety? 0:01:50 Sharon: Actually, the nurses in particular said it was anxiety. I wasn t sure what it was, but he said it sounds like anxiety. 0:01:57 Jon: And how long have those sensations been of concern? 1

0:02:05 Sharon: For about a week now. 0:02:07 Jon: Okay. So, that s pretty recent. 0:02:09 Sharon: Yes. 0:02:11 Jon: Any changes to medications? 0:02:16 Sharon: Yes. I started taking Strattera for Attention Deficit and I think, before that, I think my thoughts were always racing. So, I wasn t feeling it in my stomach. So, now my mind is calm and I think it transferred to my stomach. That s my assumption. That s just my guess. 0:02:36 Jon: And you started taking that medication how long ago? 0:02:39 Sharon: A week ago. 0:02:43 Jon: So, what we know so far is that about a week ago you started taking a medication and you started to notice sensations in your stomach. So, sometimes there s an adjustment period to taking a new substance into the body, but what goes on as a result of medication shifts isn t something that I have any expertise in. So, what I would recommend that you do is meet with somebody who does, meaning doctor, nurse and let them know what s going on with that because that s what they, I believe, would want to know when they begin somebody on a new course of medication. Sometimes, there s a side-affect that disappears as the body gets used to something. But, either way, that would be something to report back with and I would report back not only to a nurse, but to a prescriber. 0:04:18 Sharon: Okay. Yeah, I will. I see him next week. 0:04:21 Jon: So, that s who you want to initially whoever you can reach, but then you want to speak to the person who has prescribed that to you. 0:04:31 Sharon: Okay. 0:04:33 Jon: Good. So, that s that on that. What else would we look to shift in addition to the sensations that have been concerning? 0:04:52 Sharon: Depression, always. 2

0:04:54 Jon: And, I d like to understand about that. When you say always, do you mean at this moment? 0:05:00 Sharon: At this moment, yes, there s depression. Just a sadness, almost. 0:05:09 Jon: And the sadness-depression thing has been going on for a while. 0:05:14 Sharon: Yes. 0:05:15 Jon: You said, always. 0:05:15 Sharon: Yes, for a while. 0:05:17 Jon: Yes. I wonder if there are any particular thoughts that seem to associate with that. 0:05:27 Sharon: Yes, I feel like I failed in a lot of ways because of my use, my substance use. I haven t been the person who I should have been and mother I should have been. A lot of stuff like that. 0:05:45 Jon: So, would you say that these kind of guilty, regretful thoughts are causing that feeling of depression? 0:05:57 Sharon: Yes. 0:06:01 Jon: Well, everybody agrees that guilt feels bad, but some people think it has some kind of value. Some people think it helps people make improvements. Some people think it stops people from doing things that aren t good. I don t think it has any usefulness at all. Do you? 0:06:28 Sharon: No. 0:06:29 Jon: Okay. So, would you be all right if we eliminated it? 0:06:35 Sharon: I d like that, yeah. 0:06:36 Jon: Okay. Let me give you a way of thinking about things first. At the level at which someone is aware of what she s feeling or thinking, the feeling and the thought are not being caused. 0:07:03 Sharon: Okay. 3

0:07:03 Jon: We know that because if he s feeling happy and you say to him, Just feel sad, he won t be able to. 0:07:12 Sharon: Right. 0:07:13 Jon: Or, if he s sad, he certainly won t be able to just feel happy because you told him to. Imagine, if you would, somebody was holding a Bluetooth speaker and growling at it and shaking it and you say, What are you doing?! He says to you, Well, I don t like these songs. I want it to play different songs. And you explain, You know, guy, the song is playing through the speaker. The song is not playing from the speaker. So, where there has been a feeling is not where the feeling has been caused. So, feeling has been caused, then, by this deeper level of mind. And the deeper level of mind causes feeling only for the purpose of causing an action which is designed to deal with a situation which, for a simpler life form, works fine. So, when senses of Zebra bring in data, Lion is coming, then brain of Zebra causes Zebra to feel afraid meaning, basically, have strong legs and be highly motivated. So, it works fine. But, the way that Zebra is hard-wired and the way that humans are hard-wired is not any different, but the situation is dramatically different. So, everybody is walking around with the wrong equipment. 0:08:44 Sharon: Right. 0:08:46 Jon: Besides that, our human minds not only respond to data that s incoming, like a Zebra does, but our minds store data. You can remember where you went to high school. Our minds create data. Somebody can write a novel. Our minds attach meaning and aesthetics to data which is why people can look at the same thing and not see the same thing, because we re looking through filters, but it doesn t look like we re looking through filters. But, if somebody says, That s a beautiful painting, it isn t a beautiful painting. It s how it s being filtered. Somebody else can look at it and say, No, it s uglier than sin. 0:09:29 Sharon: Right. 0:09:30 Jon: Okay. The more primitive part of the mind and the more advanced part of the part of the mind see things differently and don t know what to make of each other, so things get really discombobulated. 0:09:48 Sharon: There s no connection? 4

0:09:50 Jon: Not much. The reason that there s guilt is because the mind is reading something as taking place that isn t taking place and trying to cause an action to get it to not take place when it already isn t taking place. 0:10:08 Sharon: Okay. 0:10:11 Jon: It s well intended, but completely dysfunctional. 0:10:15 Sharon: Right. 0:10:17 Jon: Imagine someone kept following you around, screaming at you, Stop shampooing your hair! Well, you can t shampooing your hair because you re not shampooing your hair. 0:10:31 Sharon: Okay, yeah. 0:10:32 Jon: Or now he s walking around after you yelling, Get out of the shower! I m not in the shower! So, can you get out? 0:10:41 Sharon: No. 0:10:41 Jon: No. So, your brain has been saying stop doing things that you re not doing. 0:10:47 Sharon: Okay. 0:10:49 Jon: And, by the way, it was telling you to stop doing them when you weren t doing them and wasn t telling you to stop doing them when you were doing them. So, it s discombobulated. And it would be okay if we fixed it and it was no longer going on. Does it make sense? 0:11:08 Sharon: Yes. 0:11:09 Jon: So, we want to create a way of visually representing the data read. It s data read. It has nothing to do with anything you did or didn t do. It s a data read. It s below conscious awareness data read that s been causing the feeling of guilt. If we created a design to represent it One gal told me for her it looked like it was jagged and very bright, but another person said it looked dark and twisted. If we created a design representing what s been going on within that level of mind, would it have colors or does it have more like shades? 0:12:07 Sharon: It s no, no color. 5

0:12:13 Jon: Do you see any shape there? 0:12:16 Sharon: It s almost like circular. 0:12:23 Jon: I can see it. We re done with that and I m hearing how it s been for you and paying close attention, also begin seeing what it is, at the highest level, is intended for you. Highest level meaning what s best for the whole world, which is what s best for you and what s best for you is best for the world. And there I m seeing you with your mind updated, rebooted, refreshed and cleared. I see you with your mind only entertaining what has actual value and value means two things. One is that it s possible and two is that it will be good to have done it. And if it s not possible and not good to have done, then mind doesn t even light it up. But, if it is possible and would be good to do it, then mind lights it with interest and appeal so that you re automatically doing it. Sound okay? 0:13:17 Sharon: Yes. 0:13:18 Jon: Then, you see, you and I already have the same intention, the same purpose, the same vision. With that, our energy is coming together. As energy comes together, it expands. Expanding energy fuels power. Power is already fueling the shift. It s already going on, but we re going to get it going on even with more depth, power and speed. 0:13:40 Sharon: Okay. 0:13:41 Jon: So, I d like to show you a couple of things with energy that I think you ll find interesting, if it would be okay. 0:13:49 Sharon: Sure. 0:13:49 Jon: What I m going to do then is ask you to put your hands on top of mine, then I m going to ask you to look at one of your hands and slowly lift it and that s what it will be. The whole thing doesn t take long at all. So, slide in close, because we re going to have your hands on top of mine. There you go. Then look at the back of that right hand. Just look at a spot. Don t look away. Stay focused on that spot. 0:14:17 Jon: In just a moment, I ll ask you to, as slowly as you possibly can, I mean real slow, I mean like you re in a slowness contest, a slowly as you can to lift that hand when I tell you to. Not yet. But when I tell you to do it, then as you lift it thinking about how slowly grass grows, you ll begin to notice things. You re going to begin to notice, begin lifting now, you ll begin to, 6

slow, slow, slow, you ll notice an energy from my hand beneath your hand. You ll notice that your hand begins doing things that you re not making it do, that it begins to jump, it begins to jerk. It moves in ways that are completely different than you would cause it to do. You become the observer watching it moving. You re not moving it, you re watching it moving. It s doing things nobody could do with their hand. You close your eyes, your eyes are closed. You re going to feel my hand underneath your hand. When you do, your arm is just going to collapse right against my hand, one, two, and there it goes and it just falls, and it just falls. That s it. And falls. And then as arms are ever so gradually lowered, down, that s it, notice hand still continues to twitch and move. There it goes. Because your inner mind, that s it, is, that s it, is wonderfully responsive, wonderfully responsive when certain criteria has been met. That s it. We know from those movements, those twitches, jumps and jerks, there it goes, that mind, that s it, is responding to what it is we are both intending for you. Yes! Mind updated, yes! Cleared, yes! Rebooted, refreshed. And then, those jumps and jerks and twitches become even still more definite, more definite, more dramatic, more powerful. And even if you try to hold that hand still, it s impossible. That s how powerful your inner mind is. In fact, go ahead. Try to hold it still and learn you absolutely can t because it s jumping, jerking, twitching from Level II. We ve reached Level II. That s just what we wanted to reach. It s excellent news. That s it. Everything is happening, yes, perfectly. 0:17:03 Jon: The way this works is one thing builds on another and each process we engage in builds on the one before so that each time is more powerful, meaning each time you drop in, down, further, further, deeper, more and more, and more, and more. That s it. That s it. In a moment, I ll drop the left hand down. And, as it drops, you re going to drop along with it even still deeper. One, two, and down. That s it! Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. And I m going to tap the back of the left hand and, as I tap the back of the left hand, you re going to reach the left hand up and slip the glasses off your face. There it goes. Lift it up, slip them off, I ve got them here. Hand just drops and every process we engage in builds on the one before so that it always becomes better, more and more powerful. 0:18:30 Jon: You ll notice when I tell you to begin to come up that it s going to be very slow, very gradual and it won t be easy to come up. It s going to require effort to come up. But then, when I signal you, very possibly just by tapping your head or your forehead to signal you, when I signal you, or maybe just by saying a word like mammal, signal you, at that moment, you instantly drop back down. So, see it s hard to come up, but you fall back into this, instantly and every time further than the time before. So, now 7

you begin to struggle up. But even as you re struggling up, know that as you drift back down it s going to feel even better, even more wonderful, even more peaceful. But you struggle up, even though it s going to feel so good and finally you re able to, as you struggle and push to come up, you push, but it s going to feel so good. Everything is going to just drop this time and there it goes, and there it goes and notice what happens as you just fall down, fall down, fall down. Everything s looser than liquid. Yeah. So loose, so loose that you have the opportunity to go even still deeper. Imagine the deepest level you could consciously even conceive of while your unconscious mind picks a level that s deeper than you can imagine. And then, in a moment, when I tell you to try hard to sit up and you find you re absolutely not able to, you ll drop down to that deep level, all at once. 0:20:51 Jon: First, you go ahead and try to sit up. Try and then just melt (snaps). Perfect, perfect. Notice the difference. Notice that you melted, melted, melted further, further, further, further, further, further, further, further. And then, since every time will instantly be further and deeper than the time before, when I squeeze your shoulder you come up, alert. There you go. Good job. And so, what did you notice in terms of thought in those few moments? 0:21:47 Sharon: (Indiscernible Laughter) 0:21:48 Jon: Not much. And during that space, you see, that s when things shift. Look now at the design that you saw when we began. What do you notice has happened to it? 0:22:03 Sharon: I don t see it. 0:22:03 Jon: Right! And now check for the feeling of guilt that was there awhile back. 0:22:13 Sharon: I don t have it. 0:22:14 Jon: Now, guilt is a dysfunction. It has no actual purpose. There are two reasons that it doesn t make sense. One is, it s based on the belief that things could have been different and scientifically they couldn t have been. There s nothing you ever did that you could have not done. 0:22:38 Sharon: So, it s an irrational thing. 0:22:40 Jon: So, it doesn t make any sense scientifically and it also is a distraction that distracts one from what s going on now. So, if somebody you cared about 8

0:23:04 Sharon: Oh, not at all. was driving on the highway and there was a great big truck driving next to that person, how preoccupied would you want the truck driver to be? 0:23:06 Jon: You see, you didn t say, Well, I don t know. What did he do? 0:23:08 Sharon: Right. 0:23:08 Jon: Because you don t care because you get it that preoccupation, which is what guilt is, never has a value. Never has a value. That s why that has been discombobulated and fallen out where you no longer are experiencing it. It s as irrelevant as listening to the waiter tell you what they used to serve when you re hungry for something today. 0:23:40 Sharon: Right. Okay. 0:23:42 Jon: Your mind can t hold it because it has no value. 0:23:47 Sharon: It doesn t scan the short-term memory. 0:23:48 Jon: Right. It falls out of the whole thing. Perfect. So, there s a significant difference there, isn t there? 0:23:57 Sharon: Yes, there is. 0:23:59 Jon: So, just uncross your legs and use your left hand to take your glasses off again. Put them in the palm of my hand. Good. Take a big breath, exhale slow. Good. And then, eyes close and then sit up nice and straight and tall. That s it. Nice and straight and tall. And you know that next time will be even still deeper. Conceive of it. Know it s going to happen. And it s going to happen right (snap) now. There it goes. Notice your whole body/mind is different now. That s it. And then when I tap this hand, notice the energy. That s right. Notice what happens. Notice it begins to pop, and jump, and pop and jump. And every time it pops or jumps, there s a word I want you to think. And the word that I want you to think is the word Yes! Think of it as a whispered, excited Yes! whenever there s a pop. Think Yes! And then, because you responded, Yes! then it pops even more. Yes! And then even more. Yes! And then even more. Yes! And it just keeps going and going and going and going and going. And then, to reach an even deeper level where even more gets done, where the body is healing and clearing, and the mind updates, refreshes and reboots. 9

0:25:49 Jon: In just a moment, you ll be standing up, but you ll be even deeper down. You ll be standing up, but even deeper down and you ll feel me take both arms, and there it is, and you stand, that s it, that s it. And just follow along, right to there. Kick off your shoes. Kick it, kick it, kick it and get rid of it. Kick it and get rid of it. That s right. Kick it and get rid of it. There you go. And get rid of it, get rid of it. You can do it. Make it happen. You can do it. There it goes. Free and done with it. Step forward. There you go. And now feel your legs rooted like a tree trunk with roots coming out of the feet and the legs so that they re rooted and solid. Your legs are absolutely solid, solid and, that s it, perfect. And with legs absolutely solid, you start feeling an energy from my hand. And then you ll feel an energy from the other hand and you ll notice your legs are solid but that your body begins to sway. It sways forward and back. That doesn t mean you do it, it just happens. It just happens. Feel it going forward and back. And forward and back. And I ve got you. Forward. And then as it falls forward, your head just falls right onto my shoulder and just falls, and just falls, so that it just falls the rest of the way. One, two and falls. There it is. And right there, mind is clearing, and I mean all the way. Clear, refreshed, rebooted, and all the way clear. Arm drops and you drop to a deeper level. One, two. There it is. That s it. And then, as I shift to behind you, you head falls back into my hand. So that it just falls, yes, falls. So, you re just falling back and your whole head is supported there. Your back is supported and you fall back, back, back, back, back, back. 0:28:39 Jon: You ll find that being in your body is completely different. The healing process is speeded up. There s a complete difference in how your body feels. All the stuff that was fueling those down feelings has been cleared, has been cleared. But I find places where things were stuck that happened and I press on that place, it falls back. I press on it, breathe in, hold it, hold it, hold it, release and fall. That s it. That s it. That s it. And then there s another one. Breathe in, release and fall. There it is. There it is. Perfect. Your body, your mind, everything different. Clear. Refreshed. 0:29:38 Jon: Reach high like to touch a star. Reach like to touch that star. That s it. That s it. And this arm drops. And this arm drops. Feeling better than you ve felt in a long time, in a long, long, long time. Because mind has been retooled, retuned, updated and cleared. You ll find as you walk around you feel a whole difference in your body. So, first, you open your eyes, close your eyes, turn around in a circle. There you go. Turn around again in a circle. Turn the other way. Turn the other way. Open your eyes. Take a few steps. Notice what it feels like in your body. 0:30:40 Sharon: It feels light. 10

0:30:41 Jon: Come back to here. How different is that? 0:30:44 Sharon: Different. I feel lighter. 0:30:46 Jon: Yes. Check for the guilt. 0:30:48 Sharon: Nope. 0:30:49 Jon: Try to feel guilty. 0:30:51 Sharon: Nope. I just got out of jail. 0:30:53 Jon: Yeah. 0:30:53 Sharon: Whatever that feeling was is gone. 0:30:54 Jon: Right. There you go. 0:30:57 Sharon: Yeah, that s pretty awesome. 0:31:00 Jon: It was wonderful to have an opportunity to meet with you. You got so much done. You re a very fast learner. 0:31:07 Sharon: Yeah, I ve been told that before. 0:31:10 Jon: Well, you re a fast learner on many levels and that means not just on the top, but all the way through. So, good job. 0:31:22 Sharon: Thank you. 0:31:23 Jon: Yes! 0:31:23 Sharon: Thank you for working with me. I really appreciate it. 0:31:25 Jon: It was my pleasure. 11
