1 Module 2: The Stalker Status Strategy In this module, I will be going over when to post to get the most engagement, how to stay out of Facebook Jail, and how you can control other people s NewsFeed to get more eyeballs on your content. In addition to that, how to get the attention from top leaders and earners in your company and industry. Basically how to look like you re just playing of Facebook when you are, in fact, building a business :) The Stalker Status Strategy When I got my first Facebook account back in early 2013, I connected with as many people as I could who were in the same business as me. This included leaders and top earners of the industry. I didn t know it then but I connected with some of the most influential upcoming leaders of the industry we have today. I am blessed to be good friends and in business with 5 to 7 figure earners to multi-million dollar earners. I m not here to brag, rather I want to point out a strategy I ve basically created by accident that has aided in my credibility online. It also taught me how to act like a leader -which helped me gain confidence in myself. I m able to rub the elbows with top earners and be invited to sit and have dinner with them -even though I was not yet a leader. Let me ask you this. How cool would it be if one of your top leaders interacted with you on YOUR posts? What about shared your content? You would feel pretty good, right? Now, how about if we add multiple leaders who are following you. Talk about instant authority. Okay, so maybe that doesn t impress you. That s okay. I m not here to impress you. So why am I talking about this? I m here to tell you that in order to be a leader and top producer in your niche, you will need to watch what leaders and top producers in your niche are doing (and NOT doing) on Facebook so you can become that leader. You are the leader of your organization. Lead them. But first, you have to know how. Facebook only allows a max of 5,000 friends, I think you can fit a few 6 figure earners and millionaires in there. Start connecting with leaders and top earners in your niche and go on Stalker Status. Who Are the 30 of Your Close Friends? I think it s important to have at the most 30 people who you can consume content from daily. This is also a great way to find out problems you may be able to solve in the industry. By making someone your Close Friend, Facebook will give you notification every time that person(s) posts 1

2 a status update. To consume valuable content to help you and your business grow, mark those leaders and top earners you are connected with as your Close Friend. Simply go to your timeline, click on the Friends and go through your list those who you want to make a Close Friend (see image). Facebook allows you to have up to 30 Close Friends. This way you can be one of the first to like, comment, and share their posts. Why is that important? It s a great way to get those leaders to notice you. How cool would it be, when going to a live company event, a top leader of your company greets you by name. I was shocked and humbled when that happened to me. It was like seeing an old friend. Again, if that doesn t impress you, let me put some value on it and how it can help you with your credibility and authority online. When you met these people in person, and take photos with them, and you post them on Facebook, that is huge in Attraction Marketing because people are following these influencers already. Once they see you rubbing elbows with top leaders, they will start to follow you and/or send you a friend request. Maybe you want to learn more about the problems people are having in your niche. You can mark your prospects as a Close Friend and you can create content that will solve that problem. Who Do You See First? First, I m going to go over how you can control your own NewsFeed, then in the next section, I ll go over how you can control other people s NewsFeeds to get more engagement. This is a great 2

3 way to build up your network and have more eyeballs on your content. There are several reasons to control your own NewsFeed. First, to get rid of the negative posts or posts you don t want to see from friends and family without unfriending them. This will keep your mind sharp and focused for your business and on a personal level, and to help avoid that awkward conversation at the family reunions. The second reason, much like a Close Friend, you can go on Stalker Status on Fan Pages. Setting the See First option (see image) on key Fan Pages, you can not only get great content ideas, and continue to build your network by connecting with people who are also following that Fan Page. One the flip side, you can add your two-cents and people will want to follow you. 3

4 You can also use the See First on personal Profiles. The point is to control your NewsFeed with content you want to see first. If you are maxed out on your 30 Close Friends, you can set them as See First. Again, this is all about building your network and finding great content within your niche to learn, grow, and take your business and personal life to the next level. Controlling Other People s NewsFeeds There is a really cool strategy I use to have more eyeballs on my content. And it s all about activating what I like to call the Algorithm God. Once it s activated you can control who sees your content. I ve tested this and it never fails. This is how it works. You have a certain niche you are targeting and you need those people to see more of your content to potentially get leads and possibly more sales. You can follow these steps below (right now as you learn them) and you will see it happen immediately IF your niche is online at this moment now. You can do this in two ways. You can update your status with a piece of valuable content -you don t need to add any biz-op links here, just straight up value. One you posted your content, visit the timeline of a person in your niche and authentically like and/or comment on their post. IF they happen to be scrolling through their NewsFeed at that moment, the Algorithm God will activate and your content will pop up as they continue to scroll. The second way is to just do that in reverse. You go to their timeline first, authentically like and/or comment on one or two of their posts, then go back to your own timeline and post a piece of content you would like them to see. IF they happen to be scrolling their NewsFeed, the Algorithm God will activate and your content will show up. Pretty cool stuff. In any given day, people typically scroll through Facebook at 10 to 20 minutes at a time. Depending on how many friends that person is connected with, Facebook only has that limited amount of space and time to show the most current engaged posts between them. Your goal is to be at the top. Get More Engagement In addition to the Stalker Status Strategy, you can also get more engagement by posting on certain times of the day. If you live outside of the US and most of your leads and/or your team members/clients are from the US, you go by US time zone. Typically, this industry is run on EST. For instance, if you live in London and you post your content at 9am every morning in your timezone majority of the people in the US are not up at 4am. So you want to start posting at 4

5 3am so they ll be able to see it at 9am for optimal engagement. Below are some example prime-times you can start with, and post your content in the time zone of where your target niche lives. Be sure to adjust by adding or subtracting an hour, if needed. 7am (before they go to work) 10am (their first break) 4pm (ending the work day) 8pm (winding down for the evening) Staying out of Facebook Jail and Avoid Being Blocked! If you are using the strategy of posting in multiple groups, you will have to be careful because the Facebook Sheriff will be watching out for SPAMMERS. If they notice that you re sharing the same information everywhere all at once, it s very likely that you ll get thrown into Facebook Jail. Yes, they consider that spamming, and they are correct. A wise advice comes from several Community Managers who constantly work with Facebook, and who have extensive experience in preventing getting blocked. One of the most important strategies is creating original content. When you are learning new content, rework it and make it your own. Sharing a quote? Attach YOUR story to it. Make it personal and be careful about tagging. Try to avoid as much anonymity between your friends as possible. Knowing who you add and making sure people know who you are significantly reduces the risk of being considered as spam and improves your credibility and your image in the long term. Don t act like a spammer. You shouldn t send friend requests to people that you have no connection to. You should also never send more than 10 friend requests per hour. Control the speed at which you like and comment on things. This is not only to avoid being detected as a SPAM-bot, but also to control traffic information on Facebook (which would collapse if all users do too many things in too short of time.)
