15 Last Name First Name ABEL JOHN GERMAN UNION CEMETERY OBITUARY Newspaper Date Notes RICE COUNTY JOURNAL 18/MAR/1903 JOHN ABEL, AGED SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS, DIED WEDNESDAY, MAR. 11, AT HIS HOME IN MILLERSBURG. SPOUSE OF ELIZABETH S. BOHME ABEL. THE CAUSE OF HIS DEATH WAS PNEUMONIA. THE REMAINS WERE BURIED SATURDAY IN THE CEMETERY AT MILLERSBURG. HE IS SURVIVED BY FOUR DAUGHTERS, ALL OF WHOM ARE MARRIED AND LIVE IN MILLERSBURG. BIOGRAPHY ABEL JOHN BIOGRAPHY BOOK RICE COUNTY FAMILIES. PUB The John Abel Family. John Abel married Dora Behm. They lived west of Circle Lake on a farm which was passed down to their daughter, Mary, and her husband, Herman Fischer. John and Dora s children were Henry, Charles, Dora, Anna, Matilda, Louise, Emma, Lena and Mary. Henry, Dora, Anna and Matilda died as children from diphtheria about Emma married Charles Beyer and later William Beyer. Children were Marie, Esther, Irene, Elsie in Charles family, and Maranius in William s family. Louise married Julius Wadekamper. Their children were Henry, John, William, Dora, Verine, Rudolph, Evelyn, and Fred. Lena married Tom Dougherty and farmed near Dundas. Children were Mary, John, James and Elizabeth. Mary married Herman Fischer. Children were Herman, Annie, George, Laura and Mary. There is no family recollection of the family of the mother, Dora Behm; nor of the earlier family of John Abel. As in all of the families you are dealing with many other branches spring from these. Perhaps some of them have more detail that we do not know about. Your book will be most interesting to see for perhaps we will be able to learn more about our families through it. John Abel. William Beyer. Charles Beyer. Hans P. Christensen. Note: Matilda Abel was born May 28, 1885 and died July 2, 1885 from a birth defect, probably spina-bifida. ABEL, JOHN COMPUTER REFERENCE NUMBER:
