1 C TBC Cemetery records Historical Background: In 1859, the Hull Board of Health purchased it's first cemetery, a section of the land owned by the Hull Cemetary Company on Spring Bank, which was later extended to become the Western Cemetery saw a second cemetery opened on Hedon Road. Another cemetery on Hedon Road was opened in 1894 with a crematorium built in Northern Cemetery and Eastern Cemetery were opened in 1915 and 1931 respectively Custodial history: The burial registers were compiled as part of the regular business by Hull Burial and Crematorium Services.
