1 Module 1: From Chaos to Clarity: Traders Let s Get Ready for 2015! Hi, this is Kim Krompass and this is Module 1: From Chaos to Clarity: Trader's Let's Get Ready for 2015! In this module, I want to do something a little different with you. Instead of the traditional goal planning or New Year's resolutions we all tend to go through and then quickly drop shortly after the new year begins, I want you to start thinking a little more creatively about yourself as a trader, so I want to, like I said, do something a little bit different or have you do something a little bit different. I want to get away from the traditional goal planning that everyone's doing as we go into the year end. Why would I want to do that? Why would I want you to get more creative? After all, isn't trading very mechanical? Even mathematical? Well, yes. But that really is only the foundation of who you are as a trader. In fact, I believe most traders build this foundation in 60 to 90 days. I've seen a lot of traders. I've been trading for 14 years and this seems to be the threshold. Within 60 to 90 days a trader has a system, a methodology in their brain. And after this time, after the 90 days, is when things start to get really interesting and start to break down for a lot of traders. Knowing that, that this is what happens to traders, why would I want you to do any traditional goal planning? It hasn't worked so far for many of us, in our personal lives or in our business lives. So let's try something a little bit different. I've lived my life by these rules and I'm going to go over what I call the Ten rules of epic level traders. I'm going to talk about each one of these rules and some of

2 them, you're going to hear in future modules, might go a little more in depth to them at that time. Number 1: They value simplicity over complexity. What does that mean? There's so much information out there. You can Google just about anything and get any information you want. You can talk to your dentist, your doctor, your lawyer, your friend, your mother, your father, your sons, your daughters. Anywhere you go, there's information overload. So if it was about who had the best or most information, well, we'd all be winners, but it's really not. What it takes in this world that we currently live in is someone who can take that information or take bits of information and boil it down or cull it down into the most simple formula or steps to get them successful. The more complex or the more information you have, the more confused and unsuccessful you're going to be. Those of us, who can take information in, decide what is nonessential, toss it to the side and just take what we need to be successful, are those that are going to win. Number 2. They magnify their results with their commitment to the process. Many of you have heard me talk about, it's all about the process, and it s not about the outcome. When you focus your time, your energy, and everything you do

3 when you sit down to trade, on the process, your results will reflect it. I can always tell when a trader's results are poor, I know they have a breakdown in their process. Number 3. They train their minds in the alchemy of fear. We all have fear. I have fear. I have fear in my personal life. I have fear in my business life, which means my trading life. I have fear that I may not be doing enough for my membership. There are all kinds of fear. We all have it. It's part of who we are. But the people, who recognize that, know that they have it and are able to walk through it, so to say, anyway, are the ones who come out winners. And when I say come out winners, I mean they feel good about themselves. It doesn't mean you have to make a lot of money. It doesn't mean that every trade you take is successful. It just means you recognize that, "Hey, I can't get rid of fear. It's here to stay. And I'm going to try to use it to my benefit." Number 4. They cultivate a sense of gratitude with every trade. Gratitude for my trades? What does that mean? Well, in a nutshell, I think of it as this way. I look at a trade and I look at the outcome, and then I go through a very quick process. I say, did I follow my process? Did I execute cleanly? If I can say yes, great.

4 If I say, "No, you fell down here on the execution, you got a little anxious, you got in too early, you got in too late, you didn't follow your rules." And you say, I have a lesson to learn there and I'm going to be really grateful for because the next time. I'm going to really stretch myself and be grateful that I could see the lesson. I get it. Next time I'll be better." Number 5. They give 100% of themselves when they sit down to trade. What do I mean by that? I mean, when they sit down to trade they're trading. They're focused on looking for setups, identifying them, and following their process, whatever that process may be. If it's the Price Action Traders Institute process, great. If it's another process, great. But what they don't do is go into a Skype chat or even go on Twitter and someone challenges their "why did you take that" trade. They don't get thrown off by that. They give themselves a 100% because they believe in themselves. They believe in themselves to follow their process. In fact, on Twitter, I'm on Twitter every morning that I trade and one of the things that I often get are these tweets from people who aren't in the membership who challenge me on, "Why did you take that trade? I don't understand it. You're long? Why would you do that?" And I'm so grounded in the process that it doesn't even rattle me or cause me to second guess myself. And I noticed that a lot of traders second guess themselves. When you sit down to trade, give 100% of yourself to your process, you'll feel much better about your trades.

5 Number 6. They embrace the power of guidance. Now, whether it's me who's you have chosen to guide you or it's someone else, successful traders know that if they want to up-level their game, they want to hang around people who are just either a little bit above them as far as, "Hey, I want to latch onto Kim Krompass because she's so strong in her commitment to the process. I can ride off her coattails. It will help me stay committed. When I see and hear her committed to the process, I feel good when I can do the same thing." Number 7. They strive to take trades they are proud to take. That goes back to really the process, the Number 2 one, where they magnify their results with a commitment to the process. Once you commit to the process and you sit down to trade and you take a trade or maybe you take five trades and all five are losers, but you can look at yourself in the mirror and you can say, "Hey, you know what? I did exactly what I committed to. I followed the process. My execution was clean. The trade, the market just didn't go the way I thought it would. I'm proud of myself because why? Not because I lost trades but because I stayed committed to the process, I did exactly what I said I would do. I traded with integrity."

6 Number 8. They align their actions with doing the right thing. Doing the right thing is about the process, so whatever your process is, whether it's Price Action Trading or, again, if it's some other process, I want you to stick with that process and do the right thing, and let go of the need that we all have to be right. We have a need to be right in our marriage, in our relationships, with our kids, with our parents. It transgresses over all different lines. But when you can let go of that need to be right, when you can say to your spouse, "You know what? You're right. I hear how you feel," don't you feel better about yourself? Your relationship starts to work. So with trading the same thing. Focus on doing the right thing. Focus on the process. You'll feel much better about yourself and your results will reflect it. Number 9. They believe that a losing trade does not mean that they are a losing trader. Just because I take maybe five trades out of the gate in the morning as losing trades, I never think of myself as a losing trader, and I don't want you to think of yourself as a losing trader. You have to be able to separate the trades from who you are as a trader and as a person. This is really important because taking losing trades, I've done it in the past and I see members doing it and I see other traders

7 doing it, means they're losers. They get down on themselves. They beat themselves up, metaphorically, and they're just really judgmental. But an epic level trader doesn't believe that. They believe that a losing trade maybe gives them some information, maybe there's a lesson in it, i.e. "Oh, I didn't follow my process." And they move on. And then finally, Number 10. They lead with service to other traders. That means if you can help another trader out, reach out to them, be of service, be of help. Help them either with their process or if they're feeling bad about themselves, try to lift them up. Be of support for other traders. I think it's really important to give back. It makes you feel better as a person and as a trader if you can help someone else. And helping someone else kind of takes you out of your own head about yourself and, believe it or not, that can be a good thing and a good feeling. All right. That's it for Module number 1.
