(insert praying hands emoji here) We only have 4 spots on our Monday 7.15pm pole class and 1 space on our Wednesday 7.30 class left. Do you know any fun loving women who are up for a female empowering challenge who want to give it a go? Or any women who need a new hobby to focus on help them feel great again? We'd be super grateful that if you do you would share this with them. Our aim is to help women feel strong confident and know their worth as a woman and we thinking pole dancing is one of the best way to do that. Below are all the physical and emotional well being benefits of pole dancing. For the most part pole dancing is a great way to have fun getting fit and feel great about yourself! Thank you so much for helping us spread the love :) Much Love Nikki Pole Dancing... - Not only helps you tone up and increases your upper body and core strength in a fun way - kickstart getting a strong and toned body it also helps your body confidence soar so you feel great! - Makes you forget your are exercising - you have fun whilst you workout! I had joined a gym but was looking for something more fun and where I could meet new friendly people. I had heard about the pole dancing classes and was excited at the prospect of something new, unusual and not just a standard regular gym class. I will never forget my first class. My pole partner, who I didn t know before the class, was new too and we had so much fun and helped each other overcome our nerves and feelings of being self- conscious. I was worried that it was going to be really intimidating and everyone else was going to be really amazing and really good at dancing and judge me because I was the new girl but everyone was so lovely and no one is looking at you do your moves or judging you. After each class I feel really empowered, happy and confident and the feel good music is always replaying in my mind on my way home. I really do feel proud of what I have just achieved in class especially if it s a move I ve been trying to get for ages! I can t believe how strong I feel and how exciting going to class still is because there is always a new move to learn so it never gets boring. Most of all the girls in my class are now really good friends and we are really pleased for each other when we get a new move. If I could give any other woman a piece of advice about the pole classes I d say Don t be scared to try something new and get out of your comfort zone. You can do anything you put your mind to and guaranteed after your first class you ll wonder what on earth you were so worried about. Bekki. 'It s the best form of exercise I am involved in at the moment and I love it. I m so glad I decided to give it a try myself for myself! I had come to realise (the hard way!) that I couldn't do as I like as much now as when I was 18 and dancing 3 times a week and not gain weight! I m a member of a gym but I never really look forward to going so I was looking for a fun way to exercise and get toned. I saw the post for pole dancing and Bekki who does my nails also goes to the classes and she convinced me to take the plunge. I was hoping that pole dancing would be what I was looking for so I signed up to a taster course. I was a little anxious about being the newbie in class. I wondered whether I would be able to do it and whether I d be any good at it. I was a bit worried and self conscious that being a beginner everyone would be watching me but the first class was great!

3 There was another beginner so I wasn t the only one starting out. The other girls in the class are so friendly and encouraging and there was no need for me to worry. When my first session finished I felt like I couldn t wait for the next lesson! What surprised me about pole dancing was what a workout it was and how much you had to apply your body strength. My calorie counter said I burned almost 400 calories! The best thing for me about pole dancing is getting back into dancing. This was a real goal after having not danced for so long, and I ve been able to achieve that goal with the pole classes! I was hoping so much that pole dancing would solve my problem of trying to find exercise I enjoy and want to stick to and it totally does! Wednesday is my favourite day of the week! My advice to other women thinking about pole dancing is... 'If you don t try it you won t know if you like it.' Nothing bad can come of just giving it a try. It s the best form of exercise I am involved in at the moment and I love it. I m so glad I decided to give it a try myself for myself! Kelly. 'Basically I am happy in my skin. 'After having my daughter in 2011 I tried the gym, personal training sessions and various diets and although I lost weight the way I viewed myself was as a dumpy, frumpy mum. I saw the posts on Facebook about the pole classes and the photos of the ladies were so graceful and the words were so inspiring with people talking about, not only the physical benefits from the classes but also the change in their mental attitude. I drafted so many s about joining but deleted them because I had so many fears about starting. I thought that the class would be full of 6ft Amazonian, Victoria Secret model type 18 year olds and not the place for the dumpy, frumpy me. Eventually I wrote an and didn t delete it this time and pressed send. I asked my sister to do it with me and then we could encourage each other and that gave me confidence. The first class was amazing! There were just 10 of us in the class and that was great as it wasn t too big and intimidating. There were ladies of various ages, body shapes and ability. The tutor, Charlotte, was just fantastic and I left absolutely buzzing! The support from the other members of the class when trying new moves was great and we also compared "pole kisses" (bruises). I have loved how quickly I have been able to pick up moves and also improve week on week. The best result is not just the great posture and overall toning but a complete overhaul in how I view myself. I am not focused on numbers in terms of weight or size but how I feel in myself and people around me have commented on the difference. My fitness levels are much better and it has encouraged me to be more confident in the way I dress and look... basically I am happy in my skin. Something that has not happened in many years. If you are feeling really scared about starting classes but have wanted to do it for ages ask a friend/sister/mum to sign up with you. It really helped me having my sister there and we had fun bonding. If I could say one thing to you is to try and put your nerves to one side as its natural for you to feel that way and try to look forward not to a new and improved you but to seeing, acknowledging and appreciating the brilliant, amazing you that has always been there! 4 'I started pole dancing because I wanted to kick-start getting fit by doing something different and fun. I generally hate exercise, so I was looking for something that would make me forget I was exercising and pole dancing does exactly that! I had an old arm injury before I started and I was concerned that it would limit what I would be able to achieve. Thankfully my arm has just continued to get stronger and stronger each week and I am able to perform spins that I never thought I would ve been able to do. I ve also found that my confidence has soared. Charlotte is great at explaining the moves and is always happy to help if you re unsure of something. Going to pole is the highlight of the week for me, and I m really happy I ve found something which is helping me get stronger and more importantly I actually enjoy doing it.' Milly 'I was nervous for my first lesson as I had no idea what to expect. It was amazing fun and felt very welcomed.' 'I was just looking to revisit a sport that I haven't done in years. I have learnt so much and in a few short weeks I am learning that my body and core are strong enough to hold positions I have never been able to do before in other classes. The instructors are excellent and fun teachers!' " I wanted to start because I'd been looking at it for over a year I really wanted to try it. I finally plucked up the courage thought I'd just go for it! It looked so much fun and I wanted to learn something new. I like to try new things and like to meet new people so did the first course on my own before inviting friends who then started it and we have so much fun coming to class together each week. The best thing about pole is making progress each week and learning something new it makes you feel so good about yourself and proud! Pole dancing has actually made me so much stronger in the gym too! Its the best New Year's resolution I have ever made and money well spent! We have such a laugh with everyone in the class! 5 'I love the fact that all the girls encourage each other to be their best and feel comfortable in their own skin.' 'I couldn't wait to start pole after a friend of mine had told me all about how good the course was that she had done previously with UberEdge. After watching her videos and seeing how much she had learnt and how strong she had become over the 6 weeks I wanted to give it a try. It was great to be able to workout with a friend whilst having fun and feeling sexy too! I was worried at the beginning that I would come away full of bruises and not be able to hold myself up at all. Those worries quickly went away within five minutes of the class. Charlotte (our pole instructor) is definitely a natural born teacher and really gives you the confidence and boost you need to just go for it - albeit nowhere near as elegant as her but everyone has to start somewhere, right? I enjoyed the class so much that I couldn't wait for it to be Friday every week and on week 4 I ordered my very own pole. Walking past Nikki (UberEdge lady boss) in town last week in I told her that signing up to pole classes was the best thing I had ever done and I still stand by that now. I have become stronger, more elegant in my movements and my confidence has certainly grown. I have made such good friends from the class and love the fact that all the girls encourage each other to be their best and feel comfortable in their own skin. I recommend everyone to give it a go, pole doesn't discriminate against shape or size and has so many benefits. Thank you Uberedge I love my new hobby!'
