The fact that you are reading this means you have taken the time to learn more about how to use the power of the internet to make more money in your real estate investing business. As you know, in business the action takers make all the money. If you are smart enough to keep on taking the steps to move forward with this program, I promise that we will help you make you a lot of money with the internet. What I am going to share with you right now is the real deal. I am not going to waste your time with any unproven theories or untested ideas. What you are about to learn is the game plan that my partner Colin and I have used to make millions of dollars on the internet with our business. When you Google the term real estate investor you will find us sitting at the very top in the #1 spot for a reason. We have spent countless hours studying the strategies you are about to learn and even more time developing the systems needed to put this plan into action. Why do you need internet marketing? Let s face it; you already realize that your business is not going to make nearly as much money as it could unless you greatly improve your online game. You know that your prospects are all online, no matter if you seek buyers, sellers, tenants or private money lenders. Not only that, but you have probably heard that internet marketing is the #1 most cost-effective form of marketing on the planet. This is absolutely true. In fact, I cannot think of any other way to build your list of buyers and sellers month after month the way that that internet marketing does. Not that I think internet marketing is the only way you should be marketing, but it certainly is the most consistent and the best bang for your buck. Despite these facts, a very small percentage of real estate investors are using the internet to regularly build their lists of buyers and sellers. Other than our students, we have found that as high as 99% of investors are not having any success marketing online. It is no longer a matter of IF you should be marketing online, but only a matter of WHEN you are going to start. Considering the current market and economy we think you will agree that there is no better way to beat your competition than to get online in a big way. Let me make something clear: just because you have a website does NOT mean that you have a strong online presence. In fact, you may be like the many investors who have already bought a website. If this is the case then why should you keep reading this document? Because you are not getting traffic to your site! No matter how nice of a website you may have it is unfortunate that you will get no benefit unless you get people there.

3 What is the Internet Marketing Manifesto? Don t be fooled by the length of this document. Mark my word that what is contained in this exclusive report will be 16 of the most valuable pages that you have ever read. There is absolutely no fluff and no filler. The information contained here includes every component needed to use the internet to make a fortune in real estate. You won t find a lot of the same time-draining strategies that you will learn from other people. We know that you are busy. Every internet marketer in the world will act like they have the super top-secret stuff that nobody else knows. I am here to tell you that they are full of B.S. While there are always new tricks and new strategies to learn, I will tell you straight up that there are rarely brand new tactics that completely change how successful internet marketing works. If you, or someone you hire, is able to implement every step of this document then I guarantee you will begin to drive traffic and build your list of prospects. These prospects, worked correctly, are all you need to close deals and go to the bank. This Manifesto is not designed to be a complete step by step manual, but rather a straight-up, in-your-face outline for what it takes to build an online presence, drive massive traffic and convert your leads into deals. Think of this the Internet Marketing Manifesto as the skeleton of your million dollar internet marketing plan. I have spent many, many, many long nights tweaking and testing these strategies for our personal business. This document contains the EXACT blueprint of the process that we do for our Web 3.0 clients and the EXACT steps we will do for you when you hire us to do your internet marketing for you. Why Doesn t the Manifesto Include More Details? The reason this report does not teach you every single detail about every single activity needed to make money online is very simple because you don t even have time to read about every single aspect needed to be a successful internet marketer. Our team has spent over 1000 hours documenting every single step of this process and if you were to begin reading the hundreds and hundreds of pages you would be bored to tears. More importantly, you would have no time to focus on what you need to be doing most: closing more deals and making more money. You at least need to know enough to point the mechanic in the right direction.

5 PART 1 Establishing Yourself Online Overview: Before you can actually start marketing yourself online you must first get your base established. There are three major components to what we call an online business platform. These three components can be accomplished many different ways, many of which will cost you thousands of dollars. Our suggestion is not to have custom sites and tools built for you because you can waste a lot of time and money. The Web 3.0 system was set up to have all these three components working together seamlessly, but be aware if you are going to go the route of doing it yourself, it can sometimes be tricky to connect all the pieces. If you do not become a Web 3.0 client we suggest you get some technical help making this work, otherwise you will be pulling your hair out. Component #1 Lead Generation Site You must understand that there is only one thing you want to achieve when someone visits your website for the first time and that is to collect their contact information. You will want to create what is called a squeeze page that does not give your visitor the opportunity to do anything besides opting in to your marketing list. There are many strategies for achieving a high opt-in rate including writing compelling copy, offering free gifts, creating an action-focused design and adding an exit pop-up. Component #2 Marketing Service Once someone opts in to your marketing list on your squeeze page they will be stored in your marketer. A good marketing service will allow you to send out s in several ways including group messaging (often called campaigns, blasts or newsletters) as well as automatically with autonotifier messages. Autonotifiers allow you to create a sequence of messages that goes out to your subscribers without you having to do any work. Your marketer allows you to build a relationship with your list and let them know any time you have something new to offer them. Component #3 Content and Listing Site Once you have subscribers in your marketer you need somewhere to send them. This is where you need to have an additional website, separate from your squeeze page, where you can send your list to view more info. You will use this site to post property listings, videos, content and anything else you want. We suggest using a Wordpress Blog for your alternate site because it is very customizable and yet easy to use.

6 Steps to Establish Your Online Platform NOTE: These are the exact steps that we follow for all of our Web 3.0 clients. 1) Research Selected Target Audience Don t try to market to more than one group at once because you can only effectively reach one type of visitor at a time. For example, you can t have the same squeeze page for buyers and for sellers. We suggest going one step further and really defining who your audience is. For example: pre-foreclosure sellers or wholesale cash buyers. 2) Research Local Search Keywords Now that you know who you want to reach you need to find the best terms to be able to start optimizing for search engines. There are many tools out there to use for this, but you can start by actually typing into Google. You want to find keyword terms that get heavy search traffic but that also don t have too heavy of competition. 3) Select Two Ideal Keyword Phrases Don t try to go for too many keywords at first. We suggest you go for two keyword phrases, a primary term and a longtail term. A primary term is the best one that you can find for your target audience that is not oversaturated with competition. A longtail term is one that is not searched very often, but that will be easier to show up for in search engine results. 4) Conduct Domain Name Research Now that you have found your primary keyword you should use it to choose a domain name. Having your keyword term in your domain name is the number one thing you can do to help with your SEO (search engine optimization). Don t worry if you have to put dashes in the domain and if you have to you can use a.org if.com is not available. 5) Private Domain Name Registration Once you find your winner go ahead and purchase it with your favorite registrar. Godaddy is a popular site that is relatively inexpensive. We register domains for our clients privately, you don t necessarily have to as it costs more. 6) Complete Server and Hosting Setup You need technical help for this one for sure. There are many low cost hosting companies out there, 1and1 is a good one. 7) DNS Domain Name Configuration This is another step you may need help with. 8) Set Up Marketing Service There are several different options for your marketer. Make sure to do your research as some are better than others. For our Web 3.0 clients we have developed a high-end and easy-to-use marketer.

7 9) Connect and Squeezepage This is a very important step for obvious reasons. Make sure that whoever is doing this for you tests this thouroughly. You will also need to decide if you will have you subscribers verify their . You will lose out on some people if you do, but some people prefer a cleaner list. 10) Create New Marketing List Within your marketing system you may want to have separate lists, especially if you end up having more than one squeeze page. You obviously want to send different messages to your buyers than to your sellers. 11) Setup and Connect Content Website If you are doing it yourself you will want to figure out a way to send your subscribers to your site after they opt-in. The Web 3.0 system sends you subscribers to your Wordpress Blog so they can see the content we develop for you and the listings we post for you. 12) Write Unique Copy for Squeeze Page Once your squeeze page is up you need to create compelling copy in order to get your visitors to give you their contact information. It is very important that you write unique content. If you copy someone else s text it will be considered duplicate content and the search engines will overlook your website. 13) Basic Optimization of On-page Copy Once you write the text for your site you will want to make sure that your keyword phrases appear the correct amount of times. You can find tools online to check your keyword density which you should use to get your main term between 6-8%. 14) Optimize Meta Data for Squeeze Page In addition to the text on your page there are several other factors that you need to optimize for search engines. These items all appear within the code of the website so you will need to get assistance from a programmer to complete these items. The meta data includes your page title, meta keywords, meta description and image alt tags. NOTE: This is just an overview of all the steps. If you do not enroll in the Web 3.0 program to have us do this work for you then additional research will be required on many steps. Please note that the Web 3.0 program includes additional sub-steps not covered in this basics manual.

8 PART 2 Getting Set Up for Marketing Overview: Once you are set up with all of the components of your online platform you can begin turning your focus to marketing. Unfortunately, before you can start getting traffic there is a lot of set up work that needs to be done first. If you are doing all the internet marketing yourself we strongly suggest getting all of this dirty work done first so that you can then focus your efforts on driving traffic. The good news is that after completing all these steps you will not need to do these items again. The bad news is that it can take a very long time to complete the steps below (it is not suggested that you do it alone). Steps to Complete Online Marketing Setup NOTE: The steps below are all completed for our Web 3.0 clients who get started with the Complete SEO and Internet Traffic package. 1) Get a 3 rd Party Onpage SEO Report In the last part we discussed the steps needed to optimize the onpage aspects of your website. Even if you studied hard and you think you have all the pieces in place, we still believe you should get someone else to look at your work. Getting an SEO report by a professional firm can be expensive, but we include it for all of our Web 3.0 clients. 2) Google Local Business Submission If you have ever done a Google search and seen a map with local businesses marked by red arrows then you have seen the power of Google Local Business. Get submitted to this as soon as possible in order to help your search rank and get on the map. 3) Yelp and Other Local Biz Submission Other search engines also have local business submissions that you can get on. Besides Google Local Business, the most important site for you to get your business on is Yelp.com. It is a highly trafficked website and the link you get will greatly help your search ranking. 4) Article Directory Account Creations (200+) Article marketing is one of the main strategies to any powerful online campaign. There are hundreds of sites that will let you post your content, but you must first established accounts on the majority of them. You can easily find lists of article sites online. 5) Video Directory Account Creations (25+) Video sites have become the most viewed type of content on the web. You will get the majority of your video views from a few sites (with YouTube being the largest) but you should get your videos in as many places as possible for maximum exposure.

9 6) Podcast Directory Account Creations (10+) In addition to video, audio podcasts are also another medium that has gained popularity. Podcasts have gained popularity because they allow the ability to download and listen later. 7) Social Networking Account Creation There are many popular social networks, the most important of which is likely Facebook. For our Web 3.0 clients we focus on real estate social networks because they contain the most relevant content, which is key in helping your pages rank. Also, you will find that more people will view your content on real estate social networks. 8) Social Bookmarking Account Creations (25+) Social bookmarking is a way that internet users share with each other web pages that they like. Examples of bookmarking sites include Digg, Delicious and Reddit. Bookmarks are used in an internet marketing campaign to send more links to your content to boost SEO. 9) Submit to RSS Feed Aggregators (20+) RSS feeds are a way that content is shared and found online. Web surfers are able to subscribe to RSS feeds from sites they like and have that content appear in a way that is convenient for them, such as on another website or in their RSS reader. By having the content on your blog submitted to RSS feed aggregators you will get more readers and more links to your website. NOTE: In addition to setting up each of these accounts it is important that you understand how to optimize each of your profiles with the correct keywords and settings. These additional steps are all completed for clients of the Web 3.0 service. PART 3 Offpage SEO and Driving Traffic Overview: Once you are set up with all the components of your online platform and you have gotten all of the set up work out of the way you are finally ready to begin marketing. The steps described below are put in a very sequential order. It is important that the order be followed as we have tested this sequence for maximum results. Do not send too many links at once as search engines do not like this. Instead we suggest you use a similar submission pattern as used for our Web 3.0 clients and spread the submissions over a day period. Component #1 Creating Internet Content There are several kinds of content, as described earlier, including articles, blogs, videos and podcasts. When creating content it is important to keep your target audience in mind. For example, if you want to find distressed homeowners you could write an article about how to

10 avoid foreclosure. If you want to find cash buyers you could create a video about how to identify properties that will create cash flow. Component #2 Distributing Content Online There are many channels and methods to distribute your content. Many people use automated tools to help with distribution. While it is suggested using automation for some steps, it is highly recommended that you first do manual submissions to the most important websites. You will want to make sure to submit to the most important websites manually before using tools. Also, if you do use automated tools, make sure that they are not submitting to sites that Google has blacklisted. Component #3 Boosting Content Authority Your content will not only send you more traffic from the viewers of the content, but it will also boost your search ranking by sending links back to your squeeze page. The same way that these links to your squeeze page help its ranking it is important to also do the same thing for your content. The best way to send links to your content is with social bookmarking. These bookmark links improve the search authority of your content which then gets passed along to your squeeze page as well. Steps to Complete Online Marketing Setup IMPORTANT NOTE: All of the content that is distributed below should be submitted with links to your squeeze page as well as with links to other the content in the list. For a general overview of a linking strategy please refer to the Internet Marketing Matrix. More details on linking in Part 4. 1) Select a Content Topic for Target Audience In order to really focus in on your primary keyword phrase you should select a topic that focuses around that phrase. You will then want to develop a series of content that is all based around that same concept with slightly varying messages. Again, remember that this topic should be something your target audience wants to know. 2) Create Original Version of Article and Edit The first step in content creation is writing an article that is between words in length. Make sure that you have ideal keyword density in the body of your article and that the title also contains your keyword phrase. Spend a little time on this first article because it will become the base of your online campaign.

11 3) Begin Writing of 10+ Unique Article Versions Since you will want to submit this article in many different places you are going to need to re-write the article at least ten times. The reason for this is to again avoid duplicate content issues so the search engines do not over look your work. 4) Post Original to Wordpress Blog and Ping The first place you should post an article is on your content website in the form of a blog. We use a Wordpress for our client s content sites to give the ability to ping the content. Pinging basically means letting the search engines and blog directories know that the content is there. There are a number of free pinging services online. 5) Write and Post Classified Ad #1 to Craigslist.com Craigslist is a very good way to get traffic to your squeeze page. The section in Craigslist that you post to will depend on who your target audience is. 6) Create Squidoo Lens and Optimize for Keywords Squidoo is one of the most powerful sites in all of Web 2.0. On Squidoo you can post one of the versions of your article as well as many other types of content including videos, photos, maps, RSS feeds, etc. Make sure that your Squidoo lens is well optimized with a good keyword density and the appropriate keyword tags. 7) Write and Post Classified Ad #2 to Backpage.com Backpage.com is the second best classified site next to Craigslist. It does not get nearly as much traffic, but it does provide a very good backlink to your website to help boost your SEO. 8) Submit to Premium Article Directories (Batch 1) You should get your unique article versions out to the biggest article sites first. We include in our initial submissions sites like Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com and Articlecity.com. Make sure to include links where you are able, usually in the resource or the about the author boxes. 9) Social Bookmark Squidoo Lens (4-5 Bookmarks) After waiting a little bit you will want to social bookmark your Squidoo lens to help raise its search engine authority. Since Squidoo is an important part of your overall linking strategy we suggest bookmarking on a good number of bookmarking sites. 10) Social Networking Blog Submission (Batch 1) Using one of your unique article versions you will take it and post it as a blog on your first real estate social networking site. Make sure to include links to your squeeze page and other content you have already posted elsewhere online. 11) Bookmark Premium Articles #1 (3-4 Bookmarks) Go back to the first articles that you posted manually to premium sites and give them some bookmarks to improve

12 their search authority. 12) Create Hubpages and Optimize for Keywords Hubpages.com is very similar to Squidoo in that it is a place to post content in many formats. Hubpages rank very well on the search engines so they should be included in any campaign. However, please note that Hubpages do not allow the links you post to pass on search engine authority (often referred to as Google Juice ). See more details at the end of this document in the section about linking. 13) Write and Post Classified Ad #2 to Craigslist.com Write and post another ad on Craigslist. Please note that your ad will need to be different from your previous post or it will not get approved by Craigslist. 14) Submit to Premium Article Directories (Batch 2) There are many other important article sites that are important enough for manual posting. Do a Google search in order to find a list of the best article sites online and focus on a few here. 15) Social Bookmark Hubpage (4-5 Bookmarks) Since the primary purpose for creating a Hubpage is to get it to rank on search engines on its own it is important to send links to your Hubpage with social bookmarks. 16) Social Networking Blog Submission (Batch 2) Post to another social networking site using a unique version of the article and posting as a blog entry. Use posts like this to link back to your squeeze page as well as pages like Squidoo and Hubpages. 17) Bookmark Premium Articles #2 (2-3 Bookmarks) Bookmark all of the article sites you posted to in step 14. A few social bookmarks for these sites is sufficient. 18) Record and Create Audio Podcast on the Topic After you have submitted all the text based content to the sites listed above you should begin developing video and audio content. You can do this in many ways, but if you are camera shy or want to keep it simple we suggest using a Powerpoint presentation for your content and then putting your audio over it. There are several programs that can help you achieve this. 19) Begin Submissions to All Video Sharing Websites Rather than posting to all the video websites that you registered for we strongly suggest that you stagger the submissions over a week or so to optimize results. Make sure to optimize your tags and even the file name that you upload should have a keyword. 20) Begin Submission of Audio to Podcast Directories Use the audio you recorded for your video and turn it into a podcast. Much like with the video sites, you should stagger the submission to podcast sites.

13 21) Write and Post Classified Ad #3 to Craigslist.com When making classified ads it is always important to write strong headlines. We often use symbols when creating headlines for our clients to draw more attention to the ads ($,*,+, etc). 22) Complete Submissions to Video and Podcast Sites Once you have submitted to all video and podcast sites it is a good idea to double check to make sure that you have optimized the pages. Some sites let you put a link in the description so you can send people back to your homepage. 23) Bookmark Premium Video Sites (3-4 Bookmarks) We don t think that you need to bookmark all of your video pages, but at least a few is a good idea. YouTube should definitely be bookmarked and maybe Revver and Viddler as well. Search engines love video sites, so try to get a video on page one for your primary term. 24) Begin Submissions to Remaining Article Sites (200+) At this point we start using automated submission tools for article sites. There are just too many sites to try to do it manually. If we are not doing your marketing for you than go online and find an automated tool. Make sure to do your research and read reviews, many of the tools don t work too well. 25) Write and Post Classified Ad #4 to Craigslist.com Another tip for classified ads is to focus on a strong call to action. Your goal here is to get them to visit your squeeze page, not to send you an . In fact, we suggest using an old address as you will get lots of spam. 26) Complete Submissions to All Article Websites You will want to use an automated article submission tool that spreads out the submissions as much as possible. We think that making it at least a several week process is a very good idea. PART 4 Putting It All Together By now you have probably learned even more about internet marketing than you bargained for. While the Internet Marketing Manifesto is very complete in the topics that it includes, I must warn you that it really only scratches the surface in terms of the details needed to do it all yourself. I don t mean to scare you at all with this statement, because internet marketing is very learnable. In fact, we have taught hundreds of students to build their lists on line using a fraction of these strategies. I just want to make sure to be very upfront about the fact that these strategies can take a lot of man hours to apply. Even when studied and followed closely there is going to be a learning curve involved as with anything else.

14 Whether you or someone you hire does the work to build your online platform and drive traffic online, there are a few additional things that I want to make sure that you are aware of. Point #1 Linking is Everything, Do It Right I briefly mentioned linking throughout this document but until this point I have not gone into much detail. By now I hope you have viewed the Internet Marketing Matrix and taken a look at our overall linking strategy. This Matrix is a flow chart providing a basic overview of the way we link web pages together for our clients. It should be noted that the cross-linking strategies we use are simply too complex to completely represent in a simple flow chart. You see, you want to have all of our sites interconnected together in a very strategic manner. Page Rank - Google assigns all pages a score of relative importance which it calls Page Rank. When one site links to another site it generally passes along a little of that page rank, helping the site it links to. Page Rank is not the only factor that affects the quality of a link, you also need to look at the relevancy of the page that is linking to you. If it does not have similar content then it will not add a lot of value in the eyes of search engines. NoFollow Some websites choose to not pass on their Page Rank to other sites. In order to do this they put a special piece of code on their links that is referred to as a nofollow tag. Generally speaking, you do not want to spend too much time building links from sites that use nofollow because they will not help your SEO. That said, some sites are worth posting content to because they get enough traffic to make the link worthwhile. A good example of a good nofollow site is Hubpages because it has so many readers and because you can actually get your Hubpage to rank on Google. Anchor Text Many links online are just a basic URL that looks like Many other links you will see are actual text that describes what it is that the link is all about. For example, a link could say Buy My Real Estate and lead to your webpage. The words in a text link such as this is referred to as anchor text. It is good to use your keywords in anchor text because this tells Google that the site that it goes to is important for that term. Not all sites allow you to format your anchor text, but whenever a site does you should take advantage of it. Point #2 Careful Who You Hire You probably have by now made the decision that you could use additional help to effectively market your business online. We thought we should offer a little advice if you decide to bring on additional staff to help you out.

15 Outsourcing There are many sites out there to find outsource help including elance.com and guru.com. Sites like this are good because instead of bringing on employees you can bring on laborers at a low cost with no strings attached. You can hire on a project by project basis, but if you want to continue to marketing consistently you will want to find hourly help. Quality Work You need to figure out a way to have quality control of the work that is done. The biggest challenge you will find is finding people to make quality content for your squeeze page and offpage content. We have gone through nearly a ton writers to find the ones we use now. We suggest that you start out by giving them a small test to see how they do. Training Unless you have enough money to hire a full time manager who is experienced in internet marketing, you will need to do some training yourself. The unfortunate thing about outsourcing is that turnover is usually very high. For this reason you will need to make sure to document everything you teach someone, to avoid teaching the same thing over and over. Point #3 The Web 3.0 Complete Done-For-You Service Since you have read this far we might as well go ahead and plug our service.
