16 RUSTOUT: The slow death that follows when we stop making the choices that keep life alive. It s the feeling of numbness that comes from always taking the safe way, never accepting new challenges, continually surrendering to the day to day routine. Rustout means we are no longer growing, but at best, are simply maintaining. It implies that we have traded the sensation of life for the security of a paycheck Rustout is the opposite of burnout. Do you recognize how important it is to take care of yourself so you can take care of everyone/everything else? Are you nice to yourself or are you overly critical in your thoughts? Do you have someone you can talk to who can put things in to perspective when you re being extra hard on yourself?

28 Figure out who you are separate from your family, and the man or woman you re in a relationship with. Find who you are in this world and what you need to feel good alone. 31 SETTING DAILY INTENTIONS Set 1-3 goals for your day and write them down on paper or put in your planner Cross them out when you ve completed them Make 1 goal be specific to doing something for yourself (exercise, calling a friend, reading a book)
