2 * Always dress professionally at every Mary Kay function. Mary Kay asks that we don t wear pants. This means skirts or dresses with pumps/dress shoes and nylons. Professional looking clothing fits properly. Not to tight or not to loose. Please remember that most Mary Kay events have guests, and they need to see Mary Kay as a professional organization. * Be on time. This is very important. Lateness is simply rude to your director and the other consultants who are on time. Arrive early when you are doing an appointment or when you have guests at the meeting, so that we can end on time. * Hand in weekly accomplishment sheets. This is how you get recognition and is a crucial way in which we communicate. I can t help you if I don t know what you are doing. This form will also help you track your income and be very useful with your taxes. Instructions for filling these out are on my site under training center then InTouch tools. * Always portray a positive attitude. We never discuss bad days or weeks during the unit meeting. Talk to your director about this privately. Mary Kay says, Attitude is everything, and that you can do everything right with the wrong attitude and fail or do everything wrong with the right attitude and still succeed! To stay positive, call your director often, spend time with positive people, listen to Mary Kay CDs, and read inspirational books! * Don t steal customers! That goes for recruiting another consultant s customer as well. Always remember the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. When you meet another consultant s customer always refer her back to her consultant. She may purchase from you at a party to help the hostess but do not follow up with her. Practice the Go-Give Spirit and ask yourself, if Mary Kay were in my situation what would she do? * Do not borrow or purchase product from another consultant. This is a Mary Kay by- law and you could lose your buying power for violating your agreement. This is also not fair to the consultant whom you re borrowing from, the company, or your unit. * Portray your products as the best selling brand. If our products are seen at garage sales, or flea markets it not only hurts our image but it also deprives our customers of professional, personal contact and the opportunity to try before they buy. It also violates your Mary Kay Agreement and you could lose your buying power. * If you make a promise, keep it! Find a way or make a way. You can count on me and I expect the same from you. This also goes for your customers as well. Deliver products when promised. Keep your word and you will keep your customers. Pride yourself in being a woman of your word. * Return all Phone calls. A professional woman returns phone calls whether they are pleasant or not. Use proper phone etiquette and always ask the person you are calling if this is a good time. * As your Director I will match my time with your effort. It is your responsibility to attend meetings and Mary Kay functions regularly. If at any time you decide Mary Kay is NOT for you, please be up front and honest about it. "Each of us should have a philosophy about how we conduct ourselves with others. A long time ago, I chose as my standard the Golden Rule: 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' Some might consider the Golden Rule corny and oldfashioned, but no one can deny its simple truth. Imagine how much better our world would be if everyone lived by this creed."

These can be done at a sales meeting, meeting for coffee or on a three-way phone call. Be sure to call me and work with me on the phone to arrange for these practice interviews. How to ask for the appointment: "Hi,, this is. Do you have a quick minute? Great! I am soooo excited! I just started with Mary Kay and part of my training is to learn how to explain how we make our money. This week I need 3 friends to help me with this part of my training. Would you help me? All you need to do is listen on the phone for about 20 minutes, while my director teaches me how to share the company facts. You'll be answering the questions and interacting with my director as if you were interested in becoming a consultant, even though this is just for practice. Would that be ok? When would you have some times we could do a 3-way call? Let me call my Director and get back to you on which of these times will also work for her. Thanks! 8 1. Unpack and go through the packing list. 2. Watch the Packing Your Starter Kit Video at under New Consultants. Some of the items in the video you will receive with your inventory order. Before it arrives you can place your skin care in the side netted pockets of the tote and your foundations in the black mesh bags. 3. Cut out and put the paper tray diagram in your trays. (Found in your Welcome Packet) 4. Place your skin care presentation guide (in Welcome Packet) in a binder or report cover. 5. Read "Start Something Beautiful Magazine". This is a great resource guide! 6. Watch the video. 7. Put your Set Sheets in a page protector. Print more closing sheets. (Found in your welcome packet) 8. Attend your Power Up New Consultant Training Conference Call on Sunday at 9 pm EST Mtg Id:

9 1. Contact Cindy with your inventory decision. (Receive your MK sunglasses with a qualified order ( $600 wholesale) in your first 15 days. Receive your sunglasses and your MK watch with a Star order ($1,800 wholesale or above) in your first 15 days. 2. Create your customized look if you haven't completed this step. 3. Sign up for ProPay so you can take credit cards. This is found on your InTouch website under Online Ordering. 4. Order your business card kit. This is found on your InTouch website under Online Ordering - MK Connections. 5. Open a separate personal checking account with a debit card. 6. Sign up for your Personal Mary Kay website at 50% off. Personal message, and text family, friends and future customers with your website address. Invite them to register. (You may want to offer them a gift for registering. A hand cream or lip gloss sample which we will get with your inventory.) 7. Attend your Power Up New Consultant Training Conference Call on Sunday at 9 pm EST Mtg Id:
