This week I discuss 7 productive habits that will jumpstart your morning and set you on a path to not only dominate your day before breakfast, but all day long as well. That generally means making the transition from sleeping to working, and trying to accomplish as much as possible between those two phases. In my world, focusing on energy has proven to be the most effective strategy to maximize my productivity, my health, and my overall quality of life. The more energized I am, the more I can get done, and the better I feel. The 5 AM Miracle Definition: The extraordinary act of dominating your day before breakfast, intentionally bouncing out of bed bright and early in order to make significant progress on your grandest goals.

5 5 Your focus may be different, but choose a specific goal that aligns to your season of life and your current most important objective. On that note, let s discuss a few effective strategies that you could likely apply to your own morning routine, no matter what time you wake up. 7 Productive Habits to Complete Before 7:00 AM 1. Put on Your Workout Clothes (3 minutes) Night before: plan your workout and your morning routine Set out whatever you need Get in the habit of preparing for exercise right away 2. Move & Hydrate Right Away (5 minutes) Yoga Breathing techniques

6 6 Jumping Jacks Begin drinking your 1 liter of water (+ vitamins) 3. Practice Gratitude (5 minutes) Journal Meditation Prayer Prepare your mind for the day 4. Scan Your To Do List (5 minutes) Nozbe Prioritize your list Make note of anything important you need to complete that day 5. Scan Your for Emergencies (3 minutes) Delete spam and other junk mail Look for anything critically important Ignore everything else Don t reply until later when your work day begins

Exercise Vigorously (20 minutes) Burst training Strength training Quick run Elevate your heart rate Get your muscles moving, brain alert 8. 11 11 [Opening Night Music] Action Steps: #1 Design your morning routine on paper. There s nothing more important in your morning routine than intentionality. No matter what habits you choose, or what time you wake up, or how much time you have available, ALL morning routines should be documented on paper so that you can be intentional and specific, and improve your routines over time. #2 Try something new tomorrow morning. As much as I love routines, I also despise them. I m a huge fan of variety and I love nothing more than mixing up my schedule to try something new and see how it works. If you have found yourself in a slump and looking for a fresh way to begin your day, try one of the strategies I discussed today, or something else entirely. Whatever you do, try something new. Cut something you don t need to do. Add something you ve always wanted to try. Experiment and see what happens. There s a lot to be learned from personally
