It takes hours to reach out, to come to an agreement about your topic, and write a top-notch post. Your stuff gets published, you get a backlink. Why waste all that time and effort for a backlink? Sure, they can increase your search engine rankings, but you're paying too high of a price. For all that time and effort, you get one link. Why not get a lot more benefits from that same piece of content? How? Repurpose your guest blog posts to get more traffic, search engine ranking power, and branding opportunities. The 25 repurposing ideas below depend on the legal concept of rights retention. When you contribute guest posts to a blog, you retain derivative rights. All you're giving the blog that's posting your stuff is a license for that content. That license is not unlimited. What happens to the rest of your rights? You can use them to repurpose your guest post content. Here are 25 ways to do that. Method #1: Strip your guest post content into snippets and tweet them out Create a professional looking Twitter account for your website. Populate that account with strips of content from your guest posts. Pick out the best parts. Rotate among different niche-targeted hashtags. Include a link to the guest post. You can also rotate a link to your main website. This is a great way to get social signals from Twitter. You also get direct traffic from Twitter. Finally, you get traffic from the guest post itself because of your Twitter promotions. Method #2: Break your guest post content into questions and answer these on Quora All guest posts can be broken down into several questions. Find these questions on Quora and answer them with snippets from your post. Link to your guest post using the anchor text "source" and your target keyword. You cannot copy and paste the same answer. Make sure that you post high quality answers that don't just copy and paste your guest post content. You have to post at least a few lines of original text. Method #3: Turn your guest post into video slideshows with voice-over

Promote your YouTube videos by commenting on other related videos on that platform. Method #4: Strip your guest post's main points and turn it into a slideshow Just isolate the main talking points of your guest post and save it into PowerPoint format. Upload it to slideshow sharing platforms like slideshare.com. The key here is to use tags and categories that are directly related to your niche. Include a link or your brand name in the slideshow so people have a way of going to your website. Method #5: Turn your guest post into a free book You might need to mash up or collate several guest posts for this. Edit the materials so that they're easier to read and can be promoted as a "guide." Upload to the many free document upload websites on the internet. Pick niche-specific tags and categories. Take the time to write clear descriptions for your free book. Hire an infographics designer from places like Fiverr to produce the graphic. Post the infographic on your blog first. Reach out to other blogs that cover the same topic as your guest post. Offer them the right to publish your infographic in exchange for a backlink. To make it easier for them to accept your offer, you should also provide the intro or description for your infographic. This intro has a backlink to your main website or your guest post. Method #10: Share your infographic on Pinterest Create a professional looking account on Pinterest. Share your infographic correctly by using niche-related tags. Link your infographic to your main website. There's no point in linking it to your guest post. Post the permalink on Facebook Groups that directly target your niche.

Method #14: Turn guest post compilations into a free guide to build your newsletter Mash up many different guest posts. Just like in Method #9, invest in an attention-grabbing cover. You can find high quality, low cost cover designers at Fiverr. Create an opt-in page for your newsletter. Make sure it grabs attention and sells the benefits of the free guide along with your newsletter. Don't make the mistake of just getting the reader excited about your freebie. Get them excited about the updates they will get from your mailing list. Set up Aweber or MailChimp to handle your mailing list automation. Method #15: Turn your guest post into diagrams and post on your Facebook page If your guest post talks about a process, timeline, or collaboration, you can have this information converted into a diagram. Post it on your Facebook page. You may also want to repost it every few days or weeks. Method #16: Link to your published guest post using broken link building SEO Look for the top websites in your niche. Use free dead link checker tools like ScreamingFrog to process your long list of top niche sites. Find dead pages' URLs. Run these URLs through tools like Ahrefs. Pay attention to the titles of the pages that link to that dead page. You should get a rough idea of the topic or the keyword the dead page used to have. Take the URL of the dead page. Look up the old content of the dead page using the Wayback Machine. If you notice that your guest post is talking about a very similar or the exact same topic, reach out to the blogs linking to the dead page. Ask them to replace their dead link with your guest post link. This turbocharges the SEO value of your guest post. Method #17: Link to your published guest post using resource site link building SEO Go to Google and look for websites that target your keywords and include in your search parameters the variations of the phrase "resource page." You should be able to get a decent collection of pages that list resources related to your niche. Reach out to those websites and ask them to include your guest post URL in their resource list. Just like with Method #16, this increases the value of the link juice you get from your guest post.
5 Method #18: Create Reddit discussions around your guest post topics and link Create a Reddit account and participate for about a week by simply replying. This should be enough to get your karma points up. After about a week or two, create discussions about the topics you raise in your guest posts. Include snippets and make sure to add original commentary. Include the link near the bottom of your post. Method #19: Create forum discussions around your guest post topic and link Look for message boards and forums dedicated to your target niche. Create accounts. Post replies for about a week or two. Once you have established enough credibility or authority, post a discussion about the topic you raised in your guest post. Include the link near the bottom of your discussion thread. If you do this right, your thread is not going to get deleted. Avoid dropping a link and moving on. If you do that, you're going to be treated like a spammer. Method #20: Reply to Reddit discussions with guest post snippets and link Look for existing Reddit discussions that have something to do with your guest post's topic. Method #21: Reply to forum discussions with guest post snippets and link This is exactly like Method #20, but you're doing this on the niche-related forums that you are a member of. Method #22: Share snippets of your guest post on LinkedIn Create a profile on LinkedIn and expand your network. Invite people or look for people that you know on the network and connect with them. Once you have a nice web of connections, post snippets of your guest post in your update and include a link to the guest post. Method #23: Use snippets of your guest post for your autoresponder Try to boil down the main points of your guest posts and package them as updates. Include these in your autoresponder schedule. Make sure to include links back to your main website or affiliate links so you can make money off your updates.
