This is a great idea around women-centered holidays such as Mother's Day and especially Valentine's Day. Have several readymade gift items in different price ranges for them to take home. 43. A Lobby Basket is filled with your Catalogs, Business Cards etc. This is PERFECT for those with children related businesses. Get free coloring book templates to print at Include a small box of crayons in your basket. The offices will love it as it keeps children occupied while they wait. 53. Contact NEW Graduates from High School or College in your area or hold an open house party just for them. A lot of graduates are moving into their own first apartment/home or going away for college and many are looking for a way to earn a part time income that won t interfere with their studies. 54. When out and about...make sure you have your business on LOGO a sports bottle for your beverages. Even if you purchase them at a convenience store...pour it into your business LOGO beverage cup. Expose & brand your business as much as possible. If your company doesn't have a logo sports bottle or commuter cup, have one made.
6 55. Donate products and giveaways to your local Bingo Hall. They are always looking for sponsors for their prizes. You will get advertising from your giveaway, plus being announced over the loud speaker. Make sure you have business cards near for those who are interested and did not win. Also think about Bowling Alleys, Miniature Golf, etc. 56. Encourage your party hosts to generate more sales. Offer additional Incentives to them. You could run a MONTHLY or Quarterly Contest for your Party Hosts. Give the Host who has the highest Party Sales an additional gift or Gift Certificate. 57. College Campuses. The students at dorms are often looking for ways to make additional money. Drop off flyers and business cards to the College Student Center. They usually have free bulletin boards, tables, and other places you can leave your information. 58. Contact your local Welcome Wagon or Welcome To The Neighborhood Group. Ask them about putting mini catalogs, flyers, Seed Packets, or discount coupons in their Welcome Bags. If you have samples then donate one to their package. This is a great way to meet new people, potential party hosts & those interested in an additional income stream. You may also meet consultants from other companies to network with. 59. Contact local kitchen & cabinet tradesmen in your area or local cabinet makers. See if you can set up a free drawing in their shop for your Business. This works well for Tupperware, Pampered Chef and other Home Party Cooking Plans. 60. If your city has a Travel & Dining out Guide that tourist s request, contact that business and see how you can advertise in it. This is great for Bachelorette & Wedding Parties that people come in town for. 61. Invest in BLANK postcards or invest in Business Themed Postcards. These are less expensive to mail out than using catalogs. Include your business & Contact info and mail them out to everyone advertising your business with a free gift to promote your business. This works well and some recipients will post them to the front of their refrigerator. 62. Daycare Centers are a great place to find busy parents in need of some fun time. This is a great place to find Hosts & Recruits. As the Daycare Director set up a drawing box & offer the center a free gift. Also enquire if the daycare center has a need for fundraising for books, supplies, equipment, etc. 63. As there are family s in your area that may have a fire, flood, or need to raise money for any personal tragedy offer to help them raise money with your fundraising program. Also, if you have outdated products that they may have a use for, offer to donate them. You will good will in someone else s life & your donation is a tax write off.
7 64. Invite your spouse or significant other's co-workers and their wives over to your home for a mingling party. Serve some refreshments or do a cookout and make sure you have a table set up with some product displayed. If you sell kitchen or food products make sure you use them. 65. Coordinate a Community Potluck & Block Party in your Neighborhood or Community Center. Set up a table of your products and invite neighbors with a home business to do the same. It's a fun, inexpensive way to get the word out about your business in your own "backyard" and meet your neighbors too. 66. Find or Start a Networking Group with Consultants in other companies and find out what works for them and share your ideas with them too. You can locate them (or start one) using or Facebook Pages & Groups. 67. Leave your business card behind everywhere you go. Include one in the Hotel Maid's Tip envelope with your tip. You can also do this at restaurants, bars, clubs etc. Anywhere you might leave a tip behind. If you can create a special card with a free drawing lead capture page even better. 68. Contact local area Independent pizza shops, diners, delis, and coffee shops to inquire about advertising on their place mats & flyers on their pizza boxes & inside take out bags. People really do read these, and your cost will be inexpensive. 69. Always be looking for local Job Fairs. Contact them about setting up a table with Recruiting Info at your Local Job Fair. There are also good places to go just to network. You can also contact local Temp. Agencies and see about you leaving info with them about Your Business Opportunity. 70. Contact your local area hospitals Human Resources Dept. Most hospitals hand out New Mommy Diaper Bags filled with products, samples and other stuff for New Moms. It should be free for you to include your information. You may receive gotten party hosts, new customers and new business partners by participating. 71. Register your personal & business website or blog with Online Shopping & Work At Home Directories. 72. Network with other Home Business Owners. Set up a Home Business EXPO locally in your area. Several of you can get together and come up with ideas on where to hold one. Set this up for hosting twice a year, or even quarterly. 73. Take your business on the road in nice weather. Contact surrounding counties and get their schedule of events. Inquire about setting up a booth or table at fairs a few counties away. Focus on retail & building your team. Then you can provide your new recruits business leads right from the start.
8 74. Make sure you have an Signature Tag in every you send. If your company offers a free drawing lead capture page, or you have a free giveaway on your personal website or blog be sure to use a non-spammy signature tag at the end of every post you make on online community forums, message boards or others blogs. Just be sure you are truly adding value in your posts in forums & others blogs. 75. Give a product from your company as a gift as much as possible. Not only will recipients appreciate the gift but keeps your business fresh on their mind & you are contributing to your personal sales volume & setting an example for your team. Works GREAT for all Holiday Gifts plus birthdays, anniversaries, wedding, etc. 76. Join your local Chamber of Commerce. They host frequent events & provide an excellent opportunity to network. Their directory of non-profit groups & organizations will provide you an excellent list of contacts for promoting your companies fundraising program. 77. Do you attend outdoor sporting events? Have your information put on personalized blankets and take them with you to outdoor sporting events, concerts, parks, etc. People sitting near you will notice your business info & it s often a great conversation starter. Lend them out to friends and family members who attend outdoor events too. 78. Hold a Mystery Hostess Open House party. Do this 2-3 times per year. Send out invites to everyone and post flyers everywhere. Offer door prizes, refreshments, demo's etc. This is a great idea for Apartment Community Centers. Tell everyone who comes and orders they get one entry, if they bring a friend they earn a bonus entry. If they book a party at your party they get 3 more entries and so forth. At the end of the party, draw a name and the winner becomes the host and earns all the FREE stuff for that party. 79. Do you get a lot of magazines at your home? If so, after reading them, print labels that say "Compliments of " with your business information and donate them to local doctors, dentists, hospitals, libraries, community centers, auto repair waiting areas, senior centers, etc. 80. Exchange flyers with other work at home business owners. Use these as "bag fillers" and as each of you pack up party orders & you all agree to include each other s flyers. You all get FREE advertising. (Don't do this with others who sell similar products as you!) 81. Have your business information printed up on lanyards and distribute them to local hospitals, offices, etc for employees to keep their keys. Be sure to use one for your own keys. People will often ask what is written on it. 82. Does your church hold spring & holiday bazaars? Volunteer your time for Church Bake Sales, Holiday Bazaars etc. In exchange, set up a table or booth with your business info. 83. Contact College Campuses & Private Schools and see if you can set up a Table Display during their open house days.
9 84. Make sure your business information is on your voice mail. Not everyone who calls will be calling about your business, but your voice mail will let them know. 85. Contact Local Sorority Houses. College Girls love to shop, party & spend money. This is also a great way for them to earn FREE items for the Sorority House. They may be interested in your fundraising program & many of these young ladies would like a way to earn a flexible part time income. 86. Print and design tea bags wrappers using a template. Add your logos and contact information. You can purchase boxes of individually wrapper tea bags and donate them to Assisted Living Facilities, Senior Communities, Daycare Centers (to be given to the parents and teachers) School Teachers Lounges, Employee Break Rooms, etc. Cost per teabag: Approx 3 cents for printed color wrapper and 3-5 cents for tea bag. Here are two free template resources - & Take your outdated catalogs and distribute them thru-out your neighborhood & local businesses. Make sure you place a sticker with your contact info to request your current catalog. 88. Make sure you have a business profile on Google Maps, & any other local online business directories. Do a web search for your local county and surrounding areas. You will find tons of free online business directories to list your business and be seen by LOCAL residents. 89. Contact your local Girl Scouts, 4-H Clubs, and other Youth groups. Volunteer to come in and do a project with them, as well as run a Fundraiser for their organization. For example: If you are a Kitchen Consultant, come in and teach the youth about Kitchen Safety or quick, safe "After School" snacks. If you are a Candle Consultant, make a craft from yours. 90. Go to your local Library and put flyers on the Community board. Also put a few of your business cards in the "Small Business" or "Financial" section. 91. Contact small local businesses such as hair salons, massage parlors, boutiques, etc and ask to set up a table for one day or one week with three of your best selling products on it along with catalogs, business cards, flyers, and if possible a raffle prize. Offer the store owner a gift or discount for allowing you to set up your display. 92. Drop off Opportunity Packets to local Temporary Employment Agencies. Ask them for referrals who might be interested in working for themselves. Offer the staff discounts & free gifts for referrals. 93. Contact other website & blog owners and offer to exchange banners with them. If you do an online E-Zine or Newsletter swap banners with others and place them in your online newsletter and have them do the same.

Write helpful articles for home business owners or potential ones that offer useful tips on marketing ideas, time management, customer relations, personal growth, etc & distribute them on article directories. Look for guest blogging opportunities if you have a writing gift. Each one of your articles will have a short bio at the end with a link to your website. 95. Have in inexpensive table/display banner printed with your business information on it.
