United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) SUBMITTALS A. Submit manufacturer's name, descriptive data, and other information necessary for review of standard manufactured articles and equipment incorporated into, and made a part of, custom fabricated equipment before starting work. 1. Shop Drawings: a. Submit shop drawings with dimensioned plans prepared in a minimum 1/4" scale. b. Include accurately dimensioned details and locations of any special wall openings required by items of equipment extending through walls. c. Include plans, elevations, and sections, all dimensioned and suitable to be used for actual construction of items specified. Project No. SPECIFICATION GUIDELINES

2 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Source Quality Control: 1. Manufacturer: Provide equipment manufactured by one manufacturer except where otherwise noted, uniform throughout as to method and type of construction used. 2. Nameplates: Identify the manufacturer with appropriate nameplates PROJECT CONDITIONS A. Existing equipment designated to be removed from the project site shall be disconnected, packed, and delivered to a Board designated location within Miami-Dade County, Florida, before starting the Work. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 EQUIPMENT A. Custom Fabricated Equipment: The following is applicable to all equipment unless noted otherwise. 1. Stainless Steel: Type 304 with No.4 mill finish. 2. Galvanized Steel Angle: ASTM A36, with commercial zinc coating complying with ASTM A Aluminum Alloy: 6063-T5. 4. Aluminum Faced Sound Deadening Pads (1/16" x 3-1/2" x 9-1/2"): a. Model F157AEH by Mortell Co., Kankakee, IL. b. Model constructed of Model 1147AEH sound deadening material by RuVan, Inc., Evansville, IN. B. School Food Service: Provide the following including necessary accessories. 1. Cook's Table with Sink: Custom Stainless Steel, (1). 2. Baker's Table with Sink: Custom stainless steel top meeting NSF, (1). 3. Vegetable/Salad Sink: Three 20 x 24 x 12 compartments with 2 riser mounted swing faucets and 3 QO valves, custom stainless steel, (1). 4. Pot washing sink (4 compartments): Custom stainless steel, (1). Project No. SPECIFICATION GUIDELINES

3 5. Work tables wired for electrical outlets: Custom stainless steel. 6. Pot Rack(s): Wall mounted, 48 inches long, custom stainless steel. 7. Serving counters/bays (Secondary Schools) FABRICATION A. Joints: Where stainless steel sheet sizes do not allow onepiece construction, make joints tight with hair line butted, welded, and polished seams, and heavy stainless steel under supporting bands or angles. B. Edges and Rolls: Shape as detailed integral with tops. Roll down edges 180 degrees and bullnose corners at minimum 1-1/2" radius as shown. C. Support Legs: /8" o.d. stainless steel tubing. 2. Maximum leg spacing 5'-0" on center, include adjustable stainless steel bullet feet as specified in this section. D. Sink Corners: 3/4" radius cove vertically and horizontally. Intersection at corners shall meet in spherical coves. E. Sink Partitions: Double, with 3/4" radius rounded top, fully closed void between partitions on all sides of sink. F. Adjustable Feet: Stainless steel "Bullet" type, Standard- Keil Model No , with + 1 inch adjustment except as otherwise specified on detail sheets. G. Drawers: Stainless steel, removable, coved corner bowls 20 inches x 20 inches x 5 inches, stainless steel housing, fully enclosed, recessed die-formed pulls on stainless steel fronts. 1. Extension Drawer Slides: Heavy duty stainless steel. H. Splashbacks: Upturned splashbacks, rolled as detailed. 1. Corners: Rolled edges, fully rounded to avoid sharpness. Do not proceed with the work of this section until conditions detrimental to the proper and timely completion of the work have been corrected in an acceptable manner INSTALLATION A. Uncrate or unpack equipment, if delivered to job site in shipping containers of any kind, and set in place, level, and ready for utility connections by other trades. 1. Set wall mounted pot rack and overhead mirror assembly aside in a protected manner for subsequent installation by other trades. B.
