2 1. General Product Information 1.1 Autodesk SketchBook Designer 2013 offers a set of tools for sketching, illustration, and image manipulation. Where Autodesk SketchBook Pro software delivers a powerful and fluid freehand drawing experience, SketchBook Designer is a hybrid paint and vector environment, helping enable greater precision and powerful modification capabilities that are ideal both for mouse-based interactions as well as freehand pen-based input. SketchBook Designer 2013 now includes SketchBook Pro, offering customers the ability to leverage each of the products distinct benefits. There is also an add-in for AutoCAD software (Autodesk SketchBook Designer for AutoCAD ) that offers direct workflows from AutoCAD to SketchBook Designer. The product is designed for the professional creative artist or designer and addresses the conceptual design, concept iteration or production artwork phases applicable to many of Autodesk s target industries. Autodesk Sketchbook Designer 2013 is priced at US $495 MSRP 1 and is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. Similar to SketchBook Pro, SketchBook Designer appeals to a broad creative audience, many outside of our traditional core markets. The retail version is designed to provide a user experience that caters to this target user. o o The AutoCAD add-in is not appropriate for this broader retail market (non-autocad users) and therefore is not available in the retail version. SketchBook Pro is a lightweight paint (raster) package, optimized for pen-based workflows on Tablet PCs or tablet peripherals. SketchBook Designer is a paint/vector environment offering a higher degree of precision and adjustment tools for creative design professionals. SketchBook Designer can be used with either a pen-based workflow or with a mouse. The product is horizontal, so all Authorized Autodesk Resellers are authorized to sell licenses of SketchBook Designer. It is recommended that Autodesk direct sales and Authorized Autodesk Resellers sell licenses to the Enterprise version. The retail version is geared to our distributors for e-retail. 2. Installation, Configuration, and Licensing 2.1 How are the Retail and Enterprise/Suites versions licensed? Retail Enterprise/Suites - The simple activation mechanism requires input of serial number and product key - Activation codes are on physical box or included with the confirmation from e-store purchases - Installation issues should be directed to sketchbook.help@autodesk.com - Standard ADLM licensing - Licensing process is documented with the product - Standard registration and technical support procedures 2.2 Can SketchBook Pro customers upgrade to SketchBook Designer? No, there is no cross-grade offering to move from SketchBook Pro to SketchBook Designer. 2.3 Is there an upgrade offer for SketchBook Designer 2012 customers? Yes, for customers that do not have Subscription, an upgrade offer is available for both retail and through Authorized Autodesk Resellers. 2.4 Can you activate the trial into the full version? Yes, you can do this with both the enterprise and retail versions; however, it is important to note that retail and enterprise versions are not interchangeable. For example, the retail version does not provide a customer with the AutoCAD add-in and because it is non-adlm cannot deliver network licensing or other ADLM features. End-users need to receive the correct respective versions to ensure appropriate experience. 2.5 Is there a way to determine if a customer is running the enterprise or retail version? In the Help Menu, the About Box of SketchBook Designer will have a Product Information button in the lower left corner if it is the Enterprise (ADLM) version. The retail version will not have this. 2.6 How is the AutoCAD add-in installed? Autodesk SketchBook Designer for AutoCAD is an install option available during the installation process of the enterprise version only. 5

6 It requires AutoCAD 2013 software to be pre-installed on the target hardware. 3. Compatibility and Interoperability 3.1 Does the AutoCAD Add-in work with AutoCAD verticals? Yes, SketchBook Designer add-in is compatible with Windows versions of AutoCAD 2010 and higher as well as versions 2010 and higher for 3.2 Is the AutoCAD Add-in available for AutoCAD Mac?
