Digital paper or the Cintiq input surface consists of a sensor field with a horizontal and vertical conductor grid and a high-resolution, high-contrast TFT display. The Cintiq pen is used on a specially coated acrylic with paper-like feel. You can rest your hand on the surface just like on a sketchpad without causing input errors. In contrast to a touch screen, the Cintiq display loses neither color brilliance nor contrast as the result of a touch-sensitive surface because the sensors are located behind the display.
