2 Carr Concrete began in 1974 as Marietta Wilbert, Inc. of Marietta, Ohio. The only product was precast concrete burial vaults. In the 1980 s the company began to diversify into other precast products including agricultural products, septic tanks and cisterns. In 1998, Carr entered the bridge beam and box culvert business with the completion of a 16,000 square foot facility. In 2001a new dock facility was completed, increasing Carr s ability to manufacture larger custom products. Carr Concrete was acquired by L.B. foster Company in The acquisition expands L.B. Foster s CXT Concrete Buildings production and sales capabilities in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states, and adds new markets for construction, agricultural and residential concrete products. In addition to our standard product line, Carr has the ability to manufacture a variety of custom products. We can fabricate up to 80,000 lbs in a variety of shapes and sizes. Larger pieces can be produced if they can be delivered by barge. We believe that continuous improvement is the key to growth. To accomplish this we are continuously investing in state of the art batching, manufacturing and recycling equipment. Our internal testing laboratory is staffed by certified technicians that maintain affiliations with leading industry organizations. This ensures that we can supply you with the products, services and information that will make your projects successful.
