1 EMERGENCY CARE PACKETS SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR Students in Grades 1-8 must have a backpack! (ALL GRADES) Parents are asked to provide for each of their children a pack with the following items to be available in the event of an emergency: A large Ziplock bag, with name and grade of student clearly marked. Contents of the bag should include: Change of underwear & Toothbrush/paste Mylar emergency blanket for warmth Two granola bars Small pack moisturized towels Extra pair of glasses (if necessary) & necessary prescription medication with directions Two puncture proof containers of fruit juice Paperback book and/or small games Comfort letter to child/ren from parent(s)/guardian(s) in case we are kept at school for a day or two. These packs will be kept in the school emergency shelter (medication will be kept in the office) until the last day of school, when they will be returned to the child. KINDERGARTEN Consumable supplies, please do not label: 1 Primary Composition Book with space for a picture at the top of each page 1 Black Sharpie permanent marker 2 bottles of 4 ounce Elmer s white school glue 2 packs Crayola Twistables colored pencils, 12 count only. 8 glue sticks, large size (about 1 ounce) 1 set Crayola broad tip markers, classic/original colors 3 sets Crayola crayons, 24 count only, regular size, classic colors 1 set of Crayola washable watercolors, 8 count of colors 1 pair of 5 blunt scissors with metal blades and plastic handles Please send in these items at the beginning of the month in which your child s birthday falls. Send in August for all summer birthdays: 2 boxes of Kleenex 3 containers of household surface wipes, like Lysol or Kirkland 1 pump bottles of liquid hand soap and one refill 1 pump bottle of hand sanitizer 1 box of Band-Aids, plain only 1 roll of paper towels Items to be labeled with your child s name for individual use: Lunch box (if desired) Kindermat nap mat, 19 x 45 x 5/8 available at Target/Walmart in late summer or on the internet. Please send this size or smaller only and with no covers or pillows. School/Home Envelope for sale in the classroom for $5.00 when school begins. 1 pair of underwear in a sandwich baggie, labeled with your child s name. Children will not need backpacks in kindergarten. They do not fit well into their cubbies with their nap mats. Please do not send a backpack to school with your child. Please label all uniform sweatshirts and sweaters with child s name in permanent marker on the label. GRADE 1 2 Boxes of Kleenex & 1 Box of Gallon Ziplock bags 1 box ¾ x 2 7/8 Band-aids (plain, no characters, please) & 1 Container of Disinfectant wipes 1 set of watercolors, 8 color only, please, with student s name on box 3 folders, labeled with student s name Crayons (16 or 24 only), labeled with student s name (will need replenishing after 1 st trimester) 1 pack of colored markers, labeled with student s name (will need replenishing after 1 st trimester) 1 Sharpie marker, black 4 Dry Erase marker, any color No binders or trappers Plastic pencil box (8.5x5.5x2.5) labeled with student s name 1 pair of blunt scissors with metal blade, child size, labeled with student s name 1 roll of scotch tape 3 packs of index cards 1 pack of Glue sticks 1 Composition book 1 big eraser with name on it Library card, labeled with name 1 small sock or piece of cloth for use as whiteboard eraser All consumable supplies are for general use Emergency Pack due by end of the 1 st week of school.

2 GRADE 2 3 boxes of tissue (one for Music Class) 1 deck of playing cards 4 Sharpie permanent markers (black) 5 dry erase markers (any color) (one for Music Class) 4 dozen #2 pencils 4 packages of pencil top erasers ring binder 4 highlighter markers any color 1 box of crayons (for personal use so can be put in pencil box) 1 set of markers (both markers and crayons may need to be replenished after the second semester they can be put in the pencil box as they are for personal use) size glue sticks 3 PLAIN plastic pocket folders (like Pee-Chee but plastic). W e will label these the first week of school with permanent markers so it is important that the folders are without decoration. 6 spiral bound notebooks (please note that these might need to be replenished by January, we use them daily) 2 pair of blunt tip scissors, metal blade, child size 4 rolls of scotch tape 25 manila file folders 2 packages of anti-bacterial wipes (for cleaning desktops) 1 pencil case big enough for pencils, crayons and markers. Plastic boxes work best. HIGH GRADES 6, 7 & 8 To be collected on the first day of school: One box of Kleenex 5 3 Subject spiral bound notebooks (The Mead 5-star, college ruled 8.5x11, notebooks held up really well this past year, or Costco) Please do not decorate the front, prior to school. One 1 Subject spiral bound notebook, college ruled 1 package of glue sticks and will need to be replenished after Christmas break One dozen No. 2 pencils with erasers for Math class Two packages of college ruled notebook paper for Math class Emergency pack to be turned in by end of first week of school The following items need to be available to your student at all times throughout the school year. Usually by Christmas break supplies need to be re-evaluated and replenished. 1 pocket folder, marked for homework Five stretchy book covers, JUMBO or one size fits all. Small-ish Sticky tabs(able to be removed) for marking text & novels Four (4) highlighters various colors 3 White-out tape, NO LIQUID W HITE OUT! 5-10 mechanical or regular pencils (individual preference)with #2 lead 5-10 blue of black ballpoint pens, avoid gel pens 5-10 red ballpoint pens 1 pair of adult-sized scissors, marked with name One package thin-tipped markers (8-12 colors) One package (8-12 colors) of colored pencils Two permanent markers least ONE black fine-tipped One (1) packages of 3-1/2 x 5 index cards 100 each Zip style pencil case, clearly marked with student s name, to travel with student to EVERY CLASS! 1 package dry erase markers, no bright colors 1 6 ruler, made of transparent plastic 1 ream of computer paper 1 package of 8 subject dividers We will be collecting $8.00 from each student for the planners & online subscription
