3 1 DWG TrueView 1.1 Free Download 1. 'DWG TrueView' software application is a free download program by Autodesk and available at The output dxf file can be opened with this program as explained in subsequent paragraphs. 1.2 What can you do with it 2. DWG TrueView is a free stand-alone.dwg viewer that includes DWG TrueConvert software. DWG TrueView is built on the same viewing engine as AutoCAD software, so you can view.dwg and DXF files just as you would in AutoCAD. By installing the free Autodesk Design Review software, you can then open.dwg files as well as view, print and track changes to Autodesk 2D and 3D design files without the original design software. 1.3 How to Open File 3. Right click on the Sample Project.dxf file and open with DWG TrueView Application. 2 Manage Graphics with DWG TrueView 2.1 Opening Files 4. Open the file as explained above. 5. 4 2.2 Interface 6. If you are unable to see the drawing objects in the file click the Navigation Tool bar, Select Zoom Extents command and you will see the entire drawing. 7. 5 2.3 Layer Management 8. Click on Layer Properties icon on the tool bar as shown on the Ribbon Home Panel. You can fine the application view as shown. 9. Let us assume that we want to see the '0' Layer only where we have our cross section at '0' chainage. To do this Right Click on the Layer Properties, Click on 'Invert Selection' to find the Layer Properties form to change as in the next image. A E C L o g i c P r i v a t e L i m i t e d Page 5

6 Selected All layers except '0' Layer Click on the Bulb icon to Off all selected Layers 2.4 Cross Sectional Drawing The Desired output drawing is seen in the image below. Use several tools to manage your cross section drawings. A E C L o g i c P r i v a t e L i m i t e d Page 6

7 2.5 Manage Drawings 10. From Tools>> Show Hide Ribbon menu, would enable several commands, for example Region/Mass Properties as seen in the image explains what the menu does. Use several commands to manage your cross section drawings. 2.6 Printing Cross Sectional Drawings 11. Plotting and printing can be done using several features of the DWG TrueView. Few important commands are shown here. 12. Layout tab is an excellent feature to print all you cross sections as shown below.
