1 PART 1 GENERAL 1.01 SCOPE OF WORK SECTION PLUMBING - FIXTURES AND TRIM A. Furnish all labor and materials required and install the following Plumbing Fixtures and companion Fixture Trim complete as specified herein and as shown on the Drawings: 1. Water closets 2. Urinals 3. Lavatories 4. Kitchen Sink 5. Mop Receptors 6. Electric Water Coolers 7. Ice Maker Outlet Box 1.02 RELATED WORK 1.03 SUBMITTALS A. Submit, in accordance with Sections and , shop drawings and product data, showing materials of construction and details of installation for: 1. Specific items of Plumbing Fixtures and Trim as tabulated above under "Scope of Work". 2. For units that will be shipped exposed, provide a description of the protective packaging that will be used during transit. 3. All submittals shall contain a statement that Sections , and all other referenced Sections have been read and complied with. The certification statement shall be made by all of the following that are applicable; the Contractor, sub-contractor and the vendor. The statement shall be an individual statement for each party involved, and shall be included with every submittal and resubmittal REFERENCE STANDARDS 1.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE Issued for Construction

2 1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 GENERAL A. The use of a manufacturer's name and model or catalog number is for the purpose of establishing the standard of quality and general configuration desired. B. Similar items of materials/equipment shall be the end products of one manufacturer in order to provide standardization for appearance, operation, maintenance, spare parts and manufacturer's service MATERIALS A. Exposed fixture trim shall be brass chrome plated unless otherwise noted. B. Water Closet and Urinal supplies from wall shall be chrome plated at all locations. C. All fixture traps shall be brass chrome plated except for Water Closets, Urinals, Mop Sinks and as otherwise noted. D. All supply and waste nipples shall be fitted with one-piece set screw cast brass escutcheons finished in the same manner as pipes they serve PLUMBING FIXTURES AND TRIM A. For the purpose of explanation and description only, plumbing fixtures and trim plate numbers are from the catalogs of Kohler Co. and Elkay Manufacturing Co. unless otherwise noted. B. Fixtures shall be as manufactured by Zurn Industries; the Kohler Co.; American Standard Inc.; Sloan Valve Company; Eljer Plumbingware; Elkay Manufacturing Co.; or equal. C. Obtain written approval from the Engineer before purchasing all equipment and fixtures. D. Refer to Architectural and Structural details of partitions and floor finish before placing order for brackets and supports for fixtures. E. Height of rim of all fixtures from finish floor shall be as shown on the Architectural details. Chair carrier standards shall be of sufficient length to meet these requirements and handicapped fixture requirements WATER CLOSET (WC-1, WC-2) (WALL MOUNTED) A. Water closet shall be vitreous china wall hung elongated bowl, 1.6 gallon siphon jet flushing with 1-1/2-in top spud, Kohler K-4325 Kingston Lite, Zurn Z5615, American Standard 3351 Afwall FloWise, or equal. Flush valve shall be Sloan Royal II Model 111, Zurn Z6000AV, American Standard 6047, or equal, 1.6 gallon manual flush valve with vacuum breaker, 1-in IPS screwdriver angle stop and chrome plated flush connection. Flush valve shall be able to operate with 20 psi supply pressure. C. Seat shall be white solid plastic, extended back, open front and less cover with check hinge as manufactured by Zurn Industries (Model Z5956SS-EL, Church )295CT, ; American Standard or equal. D. Combined carrier and drainage fitting of type suitable to meet building conditions as manufactured by Josam Mfg. Co.; Zurn Industries, Inc.; J.R. Smith Co. or equal: 1. Water closets designated WC-2 or "HP" (Handicapped) shall be installed so that they meet the local handicapped requirements URINAL (UR-1, UR-2) (1.0 GPF STANDARD FLOW) A. Urinal shall be vitreous china wall hung washout urinal with integral trap and cleanout plug, extended shields, flushing rim, 3/4-in top spud and 2-in IPS outlet connection, Kohler K ET, Zurn Z5750, American Standard , or equal. B. Flush valve shall be Sloan Royal II Model , Zurn Z6003AV, Kohler K-13518, American Standard 6045, or equal, 1.0 gpf, manual flush valve with vacuum breaker, 3/4-in screwdriver angle stop and chrome plated flush connection. C. Concealed chair carrier with foot support shall suit building conditions and shall be as manufactured by J.R. Smith Co.; Zurn Industries, Inc.; Josam Manufacturing Co. or equal. D. Urinals designated UR-2 or "HP" (Handicapped), shall be set to provide a height of rim above finished floor meeting the local handicapped requirements LAVATORY (LAV-2, LAV-3) (WALL MOUNTED) A. 20-in by 18-in vitreous china lavatory with 5-in back, rectangular basin, anti-splash rim, front overflow, two soap depressions and punched for concealed arm brackets, Kohler K-2849 Hudson, Zurn Z5844, American Standard , or equal. B. Single lever, 0.5 gpm lavatory faucet, Symmons-Scot S-20-0, Zurn Z7440, American Standard , or equal. C. Lavatory drain with perforated strainer, Kohler K-9161 or Kohler K offset drain and strainer, as may be required to meet handicapped requirements. D. Kohler K-7605-P, or equal, 3/8-in angle supply with four-arm handle stops and vertical metal supply tube, chrome plated with cast brass escutcheons. E. Kohler K-9000 or equal, 1-1/2-in chrome plated cast brass P trap with cleanout plug. K-9016 chrome plated brass waste nipple and cast brass chrome plated escutcheons. F. Concealed arm chair carrier with foot support of type suitable to meet building conditions as manufactured by J.R. Smith Co.; Zurn Industries, Inc.; Josam Manufacturing Co. or equal. 4 G. Lavatory's designated LAV-3 or "HP" (Handicapped) shall be installed so that they meet the local handicapped requirements LAVATORY (LAV-1) (COUNTER MOUNTED) A. Kohler K-2196 Pennington, Zurn Z5114, American Standard , or equal, 20-in by 17-in vitreous china self-rimming lavatory with 4-in faucet centers. B. Single lever, 0.5 gpm lavatory faucet, Symmons-Scot S-20-0, Zurn Z7440, American Standard , or equal. C. Lavatory drain with perforated strainer, Kohler K-9161 or Kohler K offset drain and strainer. D. Kohler K-7605-P, or equal, 3/8-in angle supply with four-arm handle stops and vertical metal supply tube, chrome plated with cast brass escutcheons. E. Kohler K-9000 or equal, 1-1/2-in chrome plated cast brass P trap with cleanout plug. K-9016 chrome plated brass waste nipple and cast brass chrome plated escutcheons. F. Concealed arm chair carrier with foot support of type suitable to meet building conditions as manufactured by J.R. Smith Co.; Zurn Industries, Inc.; Josam Manufacturing Co. or equal KITCHEN SINK (KS-1) A. Kitchen sink shall be Elkay LR2522, Just Manufacturing SL-2225, or equal, 25-in by 22-in overall with 21-in by 15 3/4-in by 8-in deep bowl, 18 gauge, Type 304 stainless steel. B. Kohler K-8801, or equal, sink strainer, Kohler K-9000 or equal, 1-1/2-in chrome plated cast brass P trap with cleanout plug. K-9016 chrome plated brass waste nipple and cast brass chrome plated escutcheons. C. Faucet shall be Moen Model 7300, Zurn Z7870C-XL, American Standard F15, or equal, single-handle kitchen faucet of chrome plated brass construction MOP RECEPTOR (MR-1) A. Mop receptor shall be precast terrazzo unit as manufactured by Zurn (Z ), Fiat (TSB 700), Stern Williams (MTB) or equal. Units shall be 24-in by 24-in size. Color shall be black and white marble chips cast in white portland cement. B. Stainless steel protective caps shall be provided on exposed sides. C. Faucet shall be Kohler Company K-8908, American Standard , Zurn (Z841M1), or equal, threaded spout, pail hook, vacuum breaker, wall brace and loose key stops in shanks ELECTRIC WATER COOLER (EWC-1) (DOUBLE UNIT - HANDICAPPED) A. Electric water cooler shall be stainless steel two-in-one unit with one basin at required height for wheel chair use, the other at standard height electric refrigerated water cooler with stainless steel cabinet, louvered ventilating grille as manufactured by Elkay (Model ERFPM28-RAC), Issued for Construction

5 Halsey-Taylor (HRFESR-Q) Oasis M8SCPM, or equal. Cooler delivery shall be 8 gph of 50 degree F drinking water based on 80 degree F inlet water. Furnish hermetically sealed tube-tank type cooling unit in under section. Cooling section shall be removable. Condenser shall be aircooled by the fan. B. Furnish and install a 1-1/2-in by 1-1/4-in chrome plated brass trap and 1/2-in ball valves. C. Unit shall operate on a 120V, single phase, 60 Hz electric service with approximately 4.5 FL Amps ICEMAKER OUTLET BOX (IM-1) A. Manufacturers: 1. Acorn Engineering Company. 2. IPS Corporation. 3. Zurn Industries, Inc.; Jonespec Div. B. General: Recessed-mounted outlet boxes with supply fittings complying with ASME A M. Include box with faceplate, services indicated for equipment connections, and wood-blocking reinforcement. C. Icemaker/Refrigerator/Coffee Maker Outlet Boxes: With hose connection and the following: 1. Box and Faceplate: Stainless Steel 2. Shutoff Fitting: Angle valve, 1/2 FIP inlet x 1/4 OD outlet compression fitting. 3. Supply Fitting: NPS 1/2" gate, globe, or ball valve and NPS 1/2" copper, water tubing with solder coupling. D. Reinforcement: 2-by-4-inch fire-retardant-treated-wood blocking between studs. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.01 INSTALLATION A. Install all the items specified under Part 2 according to the applicable manufacturer's instructions and the details as shown on the Drawings. B. The Contractor shall not install any equipment or materials until the Owner and Engineer have approved all submittals. If any equipment or materials are installed prior to approval of the submittals, it shall be at the Contractor's risk. C. Install all fixtures and trim in accordance with the manufacturer's printed instructions and install rigid, plumb and true to line, with all parts in perfect working order. Issued for Construction

Installation of the plumbing fixtures and accessories shall meet the applicable requirements of the American with Disabilities Act including State and/or local handicapped code and shall be located as shown and detailed on the architectural drawings CLEANING A. Properly protect all plumbing fixtures and trim at all times and temporarily close all openings to prevent obstruction and damage. B. Maintain protective covers on all units until final clean-up time and, at that time, remove covers, clean and polish all fixtures and trim surfaces. C. At the completion of the work, clean, polish and make ready for use, all fixtures, equipment, apparatus and exposed trim included in this Section. END OF SECTION Issued for Construction
