3 OVERVIEW OF GDFINDI FUNCTIONS Objective: At the end of this part, the students should be able To understand the function on floor plan To understand the function on process plan To understand the Input of data to the floor plan and process plan To read the output from GD.findi To understand the modelling steps in GD.findi. 3

4 INTRODUCTION TO GD. FINDI SOFTWARE Let s get to know basic functions. 1. Create/Save/Close Project 1. Login 2. Create a new project 3. Save project 4. Close project 5. Open project 4

5 1. LOG IN Step 1. Go to Step 2. Click Login Step 3. Enter your name and password Step 3.1. Fill in your account Username:.. Password:.. Step 3.2. Click OK 5

7 2. CREATE NEW PROJECT Step 1. Click Create New Project Step 2. New Project Screen 7

8 3. SAVE PROJECT Step 1. Draw a station on the floor plan Step 2. Right click on Untitled Save Step 3. Enter Project Name OK Step 1.1. Drag the cursor on the floor plan Select Create Station Step 1.2. You see this station on the floor plan ALWAYS SAVE THE PROJECT OFTEN 8

9 4. CLOSE NEW / PROJECT OF THE PROJECT Step 1. Click X button on the project tab 9

10 5. OPEN PROJECT Step 1. Click Home Click Open Project Step 2. Select project OK 10

14 2. RESIZE FLOOR PLAN Step 1. Click Layout Property Tab Step 2. This window pop-up Step 3. Resize the layout size from 25m*25m to 40m*40m Step 4. Tick on Snap to Grid Step 5. Click update 14

15 3. SETTING ATTRIBUTE OF STATION Step 1. Double click on the station Animation Step 2. Set the properties Update Station name Display name on station 15

16 4. MOVING STATION ON FLOOR PLAN Step 1. Click the station and drag it to the new location Animation 16

17 5. RESIZE STATION Step 1. Click on the edge of the station and drag to resize Animation 17

19 7. DUPLICATION FUNCTION Step 1. Press & hold Ctrl key Click on the station Animation Step 2. Right click on the background Duplicate 19

20 8. ZOOM IN-OUT FLOOR PLAN Step 1. Scroll the mouse wheel Zoom In Animation Zoom Out Step 2. If you want to go back to the original size Right click on the Screen of the floor plan Step 3. Select here, The value might be different. 20

Right click on the process Create a new element before current process Create a new element after current process Delete a element Combine every element into one box Hide a element Copy output to clipboard Select element from current process to the last element Select all element Fit element to screen Edit hyper link of element 24

26 5. CREATE NEXT PROCESS Step 1. Press & Hold Ctrl key Click on Process 0 and drag it down to create new process Animation 26

27 6. CREATE BEFORE PROCESS Step 1. Right click on New Process P0 process Step 2. Click on Create before Animation Step 3. The New Process P2 will appear 27

28 7. ASSIGN PROCESS TO STATION Step 1. Press A drag and drop the elements to the station A Animation 28
