42 Close points and Line-points Close points - Points within a tolerance that have no line between them - These points should be merge, UNLESS they are radial points where the radial lines are longer than 50 meters Line points - Applied when co-linear lines overlap a longer line - Used to keep overlapping parcel line geometry coincident

43 Convergence and Divergence Run adjustment more than once - no automatic iteration Convergence is the goal - maximum coordinate shift remains at 0.00 in 2 successive adjustments Divergence - adjustment fails - the adjustment may succeed the first few times, but then fails on the next run - Analyze adjustment results to find the problem

44 Adjusting the Whole Fabric Limit is 50K points per adjustment Technique of overlapping adjustment areas - -predefine partial overlap areas that share some common control within the area of overlap - Each adjustment is analyzed & converges - (Future) GP tool runs each pre-defined adjustment area as a batch process, problems logged to a file Useful for epoch changes - control points are updated - Re-run the pre-defined adjustments as a batch process
