Study based on natural and geometrical objects, construction and perspective involved. 2 Making in clay focusing on shape. Modeling and relative proportion. Outdoor site specific drawing of architecture and natural elements, In different medium- pencil rendering, water color and crayons. 3 Detail drawing of Still life along with drapery from different angles in black pencil, crayons and water color. 4 Study of ancient Indian sculpture and understanding of composition, proportion, dimension, space and ground. Study of human body parts, drawing and clay. 5 Over all display and discussion of all student s works of art. SCULPTURE 1 B/S/COS2 1 To Understand and Study paper sculpture using basic geometrical shapes focusing on the play of color and light on the objects in relation to space. 2 Observation and study natural objects, transforming into three dimensional from, making in clay with focus on observation, shape, modeling and relative proportion. SCULPTURE 2 B/S/COS4 1 To Study paper- sculpture using basic geometrical shapes focusing on positive / negative space emphasizing color and light on the objects in relation to space. Volume and proportion. 2 Observation and study natural objects, transforming into three dimensional form, making various natural objects in clay with focus on rhythm, unity, variety shape and modeling. 3 Understand and -Exercises in sculpture with plaster and clay blocks, Study various craving and modeling method step by step. 4 Studding the basic elements of relief composition creating virtual space, volume, movement in architectural from. 5 Over all display and discussion of all student s works of art. 9 CREDIT AND CONTACT HOURS Studio Course subject (Roughly) 1 credit = 15 contact hours Theory subject (Roughly) 1 credit = 6 contact hours Duration: BVA in 8 semesters (4 years), approximately 90 days per semester For the studio practice specialization students of BVA course Studio course: total Credit 72 (1080 hrs) Theory: total Credit 24 (144 hrs) The ratio of studio course: Theory = 70% : 30% The course comprises STUDIO COURSE (70%) and THEORY COURSE (30%) Assessment Rules Internal Component 40 % External Component 60 % Internal assessment for each class teacher or a committee The external component will be graded by a jury consisting of teachers of the same department with one external jury member this part of the assessment will be known as Semester Jury. The final semester 8 th semester for UG courses will present students works in a exhibition called Degree show and will be assessed by a Grand Jury.
