As an added challenge, have students cme up with a special undercver super-agent name fr themselves. Invite them t intrduce themselves using their agent name when sharing the kit. Then challenge the class t add t Judy s list by cming up with sme snappy rules f their wn. After reviewing the lists, have students use them in a tw-part expsitry writing exercise. First ask students t write a jb descriptin fr a detective. Invite them t brainstrm varius attributes needed t be a detective, as well as the types f duties perfrmed by smene in that psitin. After students write the jb descriptin, have them create rules fr the jb using the list they generated at the beginning f this exercise. Take the prject ne step further by having students create jb applicatins and perfrm mck interviews fr the jb as well. What yu ll need: talcum pwder r crnstarch, a sft paintbrush r makeup brush, clear tape, dark-clred paper Nte: Smth surfaces wrk best when dusting fr fingerprints, s chse smething like a drknb, mirrr, r table. Sprinkle a small amunt f pwder r crnstarch n the surface yu d like t test. If smene has tuched the surface recently, the pwder will stick t the ils left behind by the persn s fingers. Use the brush t gently wipe ff any excess pwder. The pwder that remains will shw a fingerprint. Cut a piece f tape large enugh t cver the surface f the fingerprint and press dwn, sticky side dwn. Lift up the tape (alng with the fingerprint) and carefully press dwn nt a sheet f dark paper. After students are finished cmbing the rm fr fingerprints, have them write a shrt mystery stry abut hw they think the prints gt there.
