Superb! [Page 55.2] 200 Lot * A/B Second Roulettes 1d pale sage-green SG 22 block of 4, the first unit affected by a minor crease, minor reinforcing, large-part o.g., Cat [The illustration is above Lot 281] W A Lot Second Roulettes 2d bright vermilion SG 26 block of 4, the horizontal rouletting misplaced so cut from the sheet to preserve the design, technically Imperforate Between the Upper & Lower Pairs because the severely misplaced rouletting has not penetrated the paper & is invisible from the face, some reinforcing of the vertical rouletting, unused, Cat Almost a great error! 8 Prestige Philately - Auction No 168 Page: F A Lot Perf 11½-12½ '3-PENCE' on 4d Prussian blue as SG 66 but a dramatic Dry Print, a couple of short perfs, lightly cancelled at Port Adelaide, Cat 850. RPSofV Certificate (2009). 600T 288 G B Lot Perf 11½-12½ 'TEN PENCE' in Blue on 9d yellow with Crown/SA Watermark (Reversed) SG 78a, a couple of minor defects, GPO cds of NO11/68, Cat Rare & undercatalogued. [Harry Lower's very fine example sold for $2990 at our auction of 12/5/2007, but Jeff Harris's larger example sold for only $1322 at our auction of 24/10/2009. The Robson Lowe Encyclopaedia states that this is a watermark error. In the catalogue for the John Griffiths collection, it was stated that this was a trial printing on the paper to be used for the new De La Rue 2d SG 152, issued in August Whatever the case, it is an underrated stamp, partly because it's hidden away in the Star Watermark issue. We suggest that it should be listed as a separate issue after SG 145] Ex Lot 289 *O selection on quality album pages including 1871 V/Crown 4d SG 111, others to 2/- x18 including a block of 4, various perfs & a good range of shades, also a couple of Pre-Printing Paper Folds & a page of perforation varieties, a few are mint, generally fine to very fine.
