3 PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES PARTNER SUPPLY CHAIN REQUIREMENTS MANUAL: BRAND PACKAGING OUR PURPOSE Nearly every step in our Supply Chain process comes down to one moment: the instant the customer opens her package from HSN. It s a pivotal moment in the buying experience - one that we want to be inescapably exceptional, to ignite her sense of excitement and to inspire a lasting sense of endearment to your brand and the HSN brand. Achieving this requires the perfect packaging. The specifications outlined in this section were designed to ensure that all products are packaged in a manner that reflects their excellence, reinforces your and HSN s brand standards and creates a lasting sense of excitement the moment the customer opens the package. 4 CO-BRANDING PARTNER SUPPLY CHAIN REQUIREMENTS MANUAL: BRAND PACKAGING Creating The Co-branded Customer Experience When the customer sees the HSN logo on a package delivered to her, she expects an exceptional, quality product. When she opens the packaging and sees your logo, she knows that s what she has received. One brand reinforces the other. The combination of the two drives home this message, and every opportunity to reinforce it builds a stronger customer relationship. Co-branding creates a world of opportunity. It builds both your brand and HSN s brand and enhances the customer s overall experience. We believe strongly in capitalizing on this opportunity and have developed co-branding guidelines which we believe will do just that, consistently, across all products purchased by HSN s customer. With these guidelines, we want the customer to experience both brands, independently, when she opens the package. She ll experience the HSN brand when she receives her package HSN s branded outer box with branded air pillows inside to protect the product she purchased. She ll experience your brand when she peers into the HSN box and sees your logo and product displayed before her. -76-
