2 THE STORY By Ashley Peter 14 year old Annie is on her way to spend the weekend with her father, Bruce, when she realizes she s taken her mother s laptop. Seeing as how Annie believes her mother, Michelle, is the root of all evil she was the one who pushed for a divorce from Bruce, she was the one who uprooted Annie to a new state and school, she was the one who said bangs was a good idea having a personal entryway into the life of Michelle seems like the perfect way for Annie to finally get her revenge. GENRE: Comedy AUDIENCE: Ages FORMAT: Feature Film or Web Series SCREEN REALITY: This entire film takes place on Michelle s computer from Annie s POV.

They give Annie some ideas as to how to get revenge on Michelle for putting the house up for sale. But in addition to their ideas, Annie has a grand scheme. She wants to bridge her parents relationship back together. She begins texting Bruce as Michelle and soon enough, Annie gets some insight into their relationship. Remind me, why did we break up again? ACT TWO: Pretending to be Michelle, Annie has begun accepting incoming calls from Michelle s CLIENTS. She s totally pulling it off and the clients suspect nothing! When one call ends, Annie gets a response from Bruce. What s going on with you? Is this because I m introducing Annie to Courtney this weekend? WTF! Another woman? Annie gets an idea that will allow her to spend more time with Bruce and persuade him to dump this Courtney character. But first another client call. This time, Annie behaves very differently. Later, a notification stops Annie dead in her tracks. Annie s old house SOLD. And what s more: an from Michelle s boss! There s been a patient complaint filed against Michelle. ACT THREE: Annie has to clean up her mess. She realizes that she s never going to get her original life back together but she decides that her life before this disaster wasn t that bad. Plus, she s a little sick of having to pretend to be her mother. Annie texts her father and explains that it s been her the entire time. She apologizes and even says that she d like to meet Courtney. Annie then writes back to Michelle s boss and tells her that the situation is not Michelle s fault; she shouldn t be the one who gets punished. And now the big one Annie FaceTimes Michelle. She admits everything. They have it out - releasing all their pent up tension. All Annie can do is apologize. All this time she thought that her parents should get back together. But it s evident they shouldn t. All this time, she thought Michelle wasn t on her side. But she s wrong. Michelle is very much on her side. In fact, she s always been on her side.
