It continues by showing how innovative John Deere tractors increased productivity and reduced the amount of physical labor needed to put food on our tables. Hands-on displays, rare artifacts, and tons of vintage tractors some on temporary loan from private collectors bring farm history to life. Even the building is historic. Built in 1941 on the site where our first tractor factory once stood, it housed engineering and prototyping functions. The museum store features a large selection of clothing, toys, and collectibles some that can only be found here. The shop is open during regular museum hours. Admission is free.
